My wife and i traveled from Norway to Timor Leste in january 2024. it was very nice, so unspoiled by turists, so genuine. Realy a highlite of our South East Asia adventure. We where only missing the Inter net and phone conection. I hope i will be back some day in 10-15 years to se howe it have developed.

the tourism is improving in timor-leste , Internet problem no more. Starlink is available, still a lot of place are still untouched. there is a lot of activity you can make here. Diving, Hiking, Trekking, Climbing, camping and etc.

Timor leste is one of the most beautiful islands in Asia and a very nice place to vacation. I myself hope to visit this island.
My Grandma was lived in Dili, but long time a go when I was a baby. Now she's in Jkt, but I always wondering about Dili. Hopefully I can go there too

Visited a few years ago...felt like a true adventure. Its way off the tourist trail.
My brother and I spent a little time there many years ago. We knew it as East Timor. It was a country that seem to be always in flux. The people are wonderful. It is a poor country.
More government stability and transparency will bring more investment. A return trip may bring a different look. The people deserve better. It's great that you made this

Wow, this was such an amazing video that I had to comment on it. I'm from Timor, and I've watched many videos about tourists visiting Timor, but this is definitely the best one. You guys truly did an amazing review, and I can definitely say the places you went to and where you stayed were perfect. And glad you had a local to guide you to the nice places in the city. I also really appreciate how you took the fact that Timor is a developing country into consideration because most videos I've seen complain when it really is just a new country. @manalicami hi, if i comunicate in english in Timor Leste, can i get by there? I'm from Brazil and our language is portuguese, but i speak english as well, i heard some people that visited Timor-Leste, they told me there are a few people speaking english even native speakers, they told me too, if i speak english would more profitable than speak just portuguese, they told me just some old people speak portuguese.
@@antoniodelima2066@antoniodelima2066 hi, so most people in the country speak Tetum (the native language), but there are also definitely native speakers who know some English. In the capital, most people know a couple words in English, but as you go farther outside the city, it's harder to communicate in English. You can try speaking Portuguese to people because some people may know it, but I wouldn't expect it most of the time. I would recommend speaking English, and when talking to natives, use hand signals as well (ex., if ur asking for directions.) And then I'd also recommend that you learn basic phrases in Tetum, which is kind of similar to Portuguese (good morning is Bon dia). Also, make sure you stay at a place where the owner can speak English because it will make everything much easier. The places that these RUclipsrs stayed at are really nice and i would recommend them.

Thanks for visiting Timor-Leste. Timor is still developing and not many tourists visit the country however it’s beautiful nature, nice people and foods are amazing. Frankly that the Government is shit. There is a lots of corruption going on there. They keep promising to build Dili airport, sea port and Tourism sectors hence none of them have been implemented. The video looks stunning and incredible. Hope you could visit Baucau, mount Matebian, mount Ramelau, Bobonaro hot springs, few of water falls, Jaco and Atauro islands as well as enclave of Oecusse.

I remember I saw a video of a RUclipsr who always reviews airlines who got food poisoning on aero dili ouch. I'm sure it's an isolated case though. Greetings from Thailand I was in ko mak Thailand until yesterday and remember your video about ko mak and followed your ko kham recommendation and also we stayed some days at lazy days resort where I remember you stayed. Your video also helped with the food we tried that restaurant "By the sea"and food was so good even for new year. Usually I don't follow RUclipsr recommendations that much but that video had very good tips. We loved ko mak so much . We had amazing weather 9 days of absolute sunshine. Thanks!

Nice one ☝️. I visited there in June 2023 via a direct flight from Darwin. Walked all the way to the statue 😂. Also visiting the Andaman Islands in February and have been watching your videos on that.
