My brother and I were there in 2016 when it was really under developed. There was no museum and very few transportation options. It sounds like it's come a long way from 2016. Hopefully my brother and I will get to Bilibo over next few years. Look forward to seeing what it looks like in a few years from now. How did you guys handle the weather during the day? next time of u come back to atauro I recommend u to go to barry’s place and then rent a boat for $12 to snorkel in the middle of the sea, its beautifulll
Hope you can visit the island, Few tourists know that in the middle of the island there is a large lake. And also Kisar Island is one of Indonesia's outermost islands,
I used to go to Atauro multiple times a year when I lived there!! Definitely do not recommend the dragon boat as there have been many issues with it in the past. Although, I do understand that it may have been the cheapest option. I usually took the big cruise that would come everyday (3 hr ride) or sometimes book a small speed boat with a driver (1.5 hr ride)

As Indonesian, we thought people in Timor Leste were our brothers & sisters.. maybe that's just our government's propaganda that we are one, we are same, etc. But after watch some vlog about Timor Leste, my eyes are wides open. So sad many museums & monuments focusing only in Indonesians occupation.. I hope young generations won't hate Indonesians. I sincerely apologize to people in Timor Leste for what happened in the past.
