Mirriam Maina has had it rough since childhood... and just when she thought marriage would he her solace, things got worse.
Her husband who knew that he was HIV positive decided to hide the information from her.
He hid his ARV drugs and even swallowed them secretly without water in the bedroom; a thing that Mirriam discovered one day.
Upon asking him about it, he became violent and would repeatedly force himself into her and more so after Mirriam tested negative of the disease severally.
After episodes of forced intimacy, physical and emotional abuse, Mirriam decided to walk out of this marriage with her two children. Life hasn't been easy and just when she was getting on her feet with a bridal shop in Nairobi town, Covid19 era wiped off her hard work.
