- Mercy Gee, narrates the painful goodbye she had with her employer in Saudi Arabia back in the year 2006. Her employer couldn't bear the pain of Mercy returning to Kenya, after 3 years of bonding and raising her only child.
The employer locked herself in the bedroom all day, as Mercy packed her belongings, while the boy that Mercy raised, cried and followed the car that drove Mercy out of their gate!
Mercy admits, this family was wonderful..they gave her loads of gifts to bring to her family here in Kenya.
With her Saudi Arabia salary, she managed to build her parents a decent house, pay school fees for her sibling as well as open a salon in Ruiru.
Mercy Gee is now a gospel artist as well as a beautician.

Carol I have been I several countries in gulf...saudi..Qatar..and I can say is that God was with me....the most important thing is to keep God Closer through prayer...my prayer goes out to those who are working in gulf...may Jehovah protect you always...Amen
My boss is like that mercy... I was taken for a special vacation during my birthday day ya 4 days...when am sick my boss usually cry... Saiii nimebakisha 3wks ni home na she's crying even she can't eat... Wah that love you don't even feel like going home

This felt like my experience kabisa back in 2012 ...i think she was among the first people to go there 2003 but looks like things have completed changed back then there was cases but not like today 🤦🏿♀️...mimi i also lost by bag it had a bible too never found it, was a in a very good family, nikimaliza contract i was given soo many things and gifts i had very many bags nikirudi, ata mimi vile nilirudi Kenya i was like her kabisa nilikua naona watu wakiwa weusi aki 😂😂🤦🏿♀️ it took me time kurudi normal na kuona Kenya kumebeat ....that must have been most people's experiences when its your first time to travel to a foreign land cz after nilienda Dubai na kwingine baadae but i don't see that anymore ( kuona watu wakiwa weusi na kubeat) its now normal for me the only thing you notice is how other countries are developed than our country and kuogopa town ( robbery)that one i suffer alot to date before i adapt it takes time...even some places like downtown where before utoke Kenya ulikua unatembea tu vizuri huezi ata kidogo😂...and i agree with her hao watu ukiona unanyanyswa speak up they adjust...Uoga haitakangi gulf ata kidogo kama wewe ni muoga kaa Kenya ...they say diaspora is not for everyone...thats why we have successful stories and unsuccessful ones...and God's favour upon you...there is good and bad employers.

Still in Saudi since 2012 sept, worked in 1 family for 4 yrs but in btwn had a 2 months vacay after 2 yrs contract and renewed again,Worked for 1 yr 8months but men will still be men so dad n son started misbehaving and i had to quit went back home in August 2015 in btwn owned biasharas, went back to class did hospitality management still managing my shops, it didn't work as expected so i decided to come back and start again my contract will end this Dec but my boss requested me to extend till April, it's a good idea though....

Yes thats me right now,av added an year after my contract here in qatar,guys stay humble,speak when they wrong you let them give you your space to work,be polite n ladies don't compete with your madams that makes them think you want their husbands n they can't trust you so getting angry and shouting at you is the only thing left,i had a fellow kenyan in this house i am and they literally faught na akitoka huku ni polisi n so i had to be polite with madam and she listened to me actually this house is at peace since then,the deepest secret of all this is be prayerful and have respect
