The reason why the head kept staying up is because when you dumped it in water, it messed with the circuitboard and it messed with the resistor for the head motor. When you keep pushing it down like that, it’s going to strip the gear which is going to cause it to make a grinding or buzzing noise which is going to get really annoying.
And the reason why the buttons not there is because you beat the living ass out of it, and destroyed the thing. I remember when I got one of these things, and actually had no button, and I kept having to use the sensor to make it work. There was just a hole where the button should be. Imagine if you dropped it in the water just starts making daemonic, evil screeching, high-pitched, beeps, and demonic scratches.
