Sorry, I am not sure, some tulsi Kotas have light in all 4 sides, I know that if possible we should keep the whole Tulasi Kota in the east corner around the house which I did.

Yes, especially diya Idea, I also added more the upper part and my design of goddess Lakshmi on the back, rangoli designs and also increased the height. Created outside space to go around..

Rubber edge instead of stone gets perfect cut at top. Curious to cut stone brick what tool did you use ?

Yes it has a hole in the center to drain water
