I've just bought this car in moon white and I love it. Still early days but it's an amazing car to drive and very good value for the money, looks gorgeous too.
No electronic parking brake / autohold due to platform. But that makes repairs cheaper, as electronic one is more complicated to repair. Wireless charging pad is available. German MC has is as standard, Swiss has it as option.
Skoda's navigation system only comes if "Navigatronic" package is bought, that is the same package that gives you the biggest infotainment screen. Skoda Scala and Kamiq come with Apple Carplay and Android Auto, and if I am not mistaken you can use Google Maps or Apple Maps or Waze or whatever app through them. Someone can correct me if I am wrong :D
The virtual pedal on UK cars was deleted on the Scala, maybe the same on the Kamiq. I got money back on my Scala Monte Carlo. Still comes with the electric opening boot.
I was about to buy one but the only engine config which worths is the 1.5TSI+DSG. Lower configs are with 3cyl 1.0 engine. The price of Skoda Kamiq 1.5TSI+DSG comes close to a Skoda Octavia which at lower trim comes with same comfig. And you basically compete different platforms to compete. Rear suspension of Kamiq is torsion. Boot is only 400l which is absurd. Skoda Scala has 460l which is perfect for its class. The problem is noone wants the 3cyl 1.0 engines. Thirsty for gasoline and oil, no performance, work in high rpm on a highway. Nonsense. And if you want a decent powertrain you have to pay too much for a city car. At the end I went for a Toyota Corolla TS 1.8 hybrid. Price between Kamiq and Octavia. I really liked the Kamiq but some shortcomings made me changey mind
That monte carlo red and seats stay the worst of skoda lineup but all the vehcles are lovely, comfortable and original and perfect money for what you get

The Skoda range is very impressive.

Great review Dan, a question, the navigation in the driver display can it show google maps or Waze or is it only skodas own navigation.

Only if you connect Your phone 👍 Android or apple carplay
Afaik even with CarPlay/Android Auto only on Infotainment Display, but not on so called Virtual Cockpit.
Great review- would love to see you do a review and test drive on the 2024 Fabia Monte Carlo 😊
Thanks 🙏 Sure i will 👍
Thanks so much Dan! That’d be awesome 🥰🙏👍

Can you compare this car in this trim level to a 2024 Kona top trim level with 1.6t and DCT FWD
I have the same car with 1.5 DSG really happy with
Very good engine on 1300kg car
@@Mezmirizeso you have the TSI Evo2 the new one, how does it feel with active cylinder tech, is it smooth at all range ? Thank you
I love this car
👍
What’s the sound system like
It is pretty good 👍
This or t-cross?
Why only going for the top specs, maybe someone should mention the less endowed models, where the engine is three cylinders and kinda weak ?!
No e brake in kamiq option
❤❤❤
