One thing to consider adding to your riding hoodie would be a pass pocket on the sleeve. This is the main problem I see with all of the riding hoodies out there. 686 makes the only waterproof hoodie with this feature but I’m not a fan of the fit.
I am interested to see what size jacket and bibs you wear from 686? I have been wearing Burton AK stuff but really like 686’s style. We are around the same build, I am 5’10” and 155 lbs. can you point me in the right direction? I unfortunately don’t have anywhere close to me to try stuff on so I will have to order online. Thank you, Ryan
Not going to lie here. I wore the Board Archive Riding hoodie exclusively after I got it. I bought it big so I could layer it up underneath when it got really cold. Worked like a charm, I'll definitely pick up another if you get more colors in the future.
Surprised you aren't using an MFI facemask with the M4 goggles. I switched from a pair of Line Miners to the M4 last season specifically for the MFI facemask feature, and I love it.
i’m rocking the 686 hydrostash thermagraph bib and the 686 hydra thermagraph jacket and i love it, impossible to miss with 686. also just picked up the 686 GLCR goretex PACLITE jacket.
Buy from NZ cheap at the end of our season clearance sales. We get the 24 models at start of our 23 season and the US dollar to NZ at the moment is $1usd = $1.60nzd.
I'm in N.Z. North Island. Taranaki and Ruapehu is where I ride. It would still work out a bit cheaper to order from here to the U.S and you would get 24 models ahead of release in the u.s. Just thought I'd put it out there if ya didn't already know and depends on exchange rate which atm is crazy beneficial to you in the u.s
Youre hoodie is exactly what ive been searching for these days! an actual functional snowboard hoodie! To bad its out of stock currently, and ill probaly pay like 30$ in shipping to europe, but as soon as theyre in stock again im buying one... and probaly 1 with the 10k rating aswell
i love your channel and take your advice seriously . many years ago this led me to buying the sandbox helmet but it is just not a good helmet at all. i'm sorry if you're probably friendly with the company or something but it was an instant return as compared to almost anything else.
Man I had a pair of Ride Fuse a season ago. They fit super well and I really liked them but about 50 days in the BOA broke. I read some threads online of other people having a similar problem. Luckily Ride customer service was top notch, but I wonder if they will fix the BOA on the Fuse. I'd love to get another pair if they do.
I had last seasons Lasso Pro and the ankle boa broke and couldn’t be fixed by Boa, it was a ride design flaw apparently and plagued last years models. Ride sent me a new 2024 pair and apparently fixed the issue with with a new boa dial. Skeptical so will ust sell this new pair and go back to Vans or K2
None of the Bataleon boards are gonna be the greatest on ice due to the 3bt. Find something with some sort of traction tech like arbor, any of the mervin boards, or jones
Hey Tj, I been rocking 686 hot lap insulated bibs, never had shells do you wear a mid layer underneath on really cold days? and what mid layer would you recommend? love the content man RUclips needs more Tj's!
Quick question TJ, For the M4 are you having with fogging with the mfi? Because I am and I have no idea how to fix it. Right when I put them on and even walking just fogs it up right away, Riding same way...
How are those bindings with mid-stiff boards? Would they be not responsive enough? The comfort is attractive and looks like you could move around a bit more too for surf style but I tend to ride mostly mid-wide and mid-stiff to stiff (plank) boards. I am considering them though for surf carving maybe.
I've put them on some decently stiff boards and they still perform pretty well, they're very versatile. If your priority is comfort and you're ok with a slightly less responsive feel then I think you'll be fine. I have been putting my Atlas Pro's on stiffer freeride boards though
Thanks for sharing, do you ride the Atlas with the Nexus, as the video shows? I feel the Atlases lack a ton when it comes to cushioning, although they are great in other aspects, do you also feel it?
Hi Man, I am looking for a new daily driver for the new season and can´t decide between de evil twin and the evil twin +. I am a advanced rider (15+ years on the board), 5´9 ft tall and 190 lbs heavy. I am riding 60-70 % park and the rest of the time i make the groomers and sidehits to my playground. On groomers I love to carve on higher speed, buttering and hitting sidehits aswell. In the park I ride pretty much the same amount of rails and kickers (from 5m to 15m) . Now my question is do you think is it worth to go for the plus version loosing out a bit on buttering and jibbing but in respond i get more speed pop and stability on kickers and groomers? Cheers Kevin
That is the steeziest back 3 I've ever seen. The way you floated backwards over the knuckled then counter-rotated and stalled out; freaking sick my dude... 5:31
The boss is by far the best board I've ridden and I get they've done a similar thing to capita with the super and the now bataleon doing the +. Does the evil twin + ride exactly the same as the boss in your opinion? Wish they just kept the Boss really.
Ive swapped from sandbox to smith this season but theres some surprises here. Interesting choice on boots but love the reasons on why youve settled on them and the fact they share a brand lineage with the warpig. Loving the regular uploads again! Edit: i was gonna send some rad gloves to tj, just need to know your size!
It's time for new boots and I have been eyeing the Ride Fuse. I keep hearing about sizing down, any tips before I pull the trigger? I love how they look and I currently use ThirtyTwo Session boots (now known as Diesel Hybrids) which have the Lace/BOA combo. I keep hearing they are more Freestyle, but with the stiffness I don't see why they wouldn't work more like All-Mountain/Pow etc. Any feedback will be much appreciate it! Thanks!!
Love the 686 dispatch! For the money they can't be beat. I've got 250 days on mine and they're still going strong. Resort, Backcountry touring, heli...they do it all.
Once you get used to the pressure to initiate the edge I don't think it makes a difference 99% of the time and has that same camber feel for edge hold. On extremely icy days where you're literally on sheets of ice it might have a slight disadvantage
Hi. Where is timestamps? It's not hard to add. But making video more watchable. E.g. I don't interested in goglle, but want to know about mid layer and boots. So i need to scroll and try to find info...
I ran that for a season, the magnets are convenient but I still fogged up when I had it up unless I had the back of the neck tube hanging down. Also for videos I didn't like the plastic piece sticking up by my face while I was talking. I enjoyed the MFI the most during the spring when it was warmer

love to hear that, thanks man!

We need a restock in the hoodies in XL! And a white option!

1000000% reccomend 'Opus Fresh' for Merino base layers.
Amazing quality. Had mine now for 5 years, only need to wash it once a week during ski season,
New helmet looking spicy TJ! Congrats 🔥
Anon goggles are expensive but gosh they are so worth it. Seriously if you are considering getting them, do it.

not a bad strategy if you find something you like. shipping to the US can be difficult though and adds to the cost

You can do the reverse as well, been able to pick up some good deals overseas.
Even with the shipping costs atm?
I was able to find a 155w 23 ultrafear. Last one I could find in country, half price.
Love to hear that! Thanks Herbsy. It will be awesome to have the hoodies represented in Europe. They should be back in stock by the end of October
Nice keep the vids coming !
Thanks, will do!
love your riding style, great to know the gear list.
TJ, you came to NZ and did not call? Next time! Hope you had fun, we had lots of snow this year, for a change.
i love your channel and take your advice seriously . many years ago this led me to buying the sandbox helmet but it is just not a good helmet at all. i'm sorry if you're probably friendly with the company or something but it was an instant return as compared to almost anything else.
Stitched up the cuts in the mitts and think I’ll get at least one additional season
😅

That's good to hear!
Solid video. Wondering how the evil twin + handles icy conditions. Any input?
Not the best board for it.
None of the Bataleon boards are gonna be the greatest on ice due to the 3bt. Find something with some sort of traction tech like arbor, any of the mervin boards, or jones
Some Great Gear!
What do you think of the Bataleon Goliath + ? Have you tried it?
Hey TJ can you tell me how the Airhole balaclava compares to the Blackstrap? Do either fog up? Comfort?
What size are the bibs? it's hard to find stretch Goretex ones
Hey Tj, I been rocking 686 hot lap insulated bibs, never had shells do you wear a mid layer underneath on really cold days? and what mid layer would you recommend? love the content man RUclips needs more Tj's!
and what size did you get these in? we have similar stats
helmet looks amazing
Hard to believe you're stoked. You're rarely stoked about being stoked about stoked
Glad I’m not the only one who noticed LOL
no freeride/powder board?
Quick question TJ, For the M4 are you having with fogging with the mfi? Because I am and I have no idea how to fix it. Right when I put them on and even walking just fogs it up right away, Riding same way...

Nice wheels Tj

ET+ feels just like the boss
Weird that you don't use the MFI masks from Anon.
I tried a few different boots at the beginning of last season wanting to try something new, but still landed back on the fuse. Thanks Adam!
I wear a medium glove but no need to send a pair out, I appreciate the thought brotha! Rad gloves are cool i've had a pair in the past
@@BoardArchive they had some killer designs and with el nino forecast youll need some light park mitts. Ive got you tj!
Wait, how does your helmet still have the boa coiler with the earpads removed?
The boa isn't connected to the earpad piece
will the helmet be in europe?
That helmet is heavier than it needs to be
Smith maze all the way all day everyday
Where did all the money go 😹😹😹💸💸💸💸 it’s worth it
Yooo
Everything you ride on/with is the f---in Ferrari of snowboard gear. Buy a snowboard for the price of goggles or jacket. Must be nice😮
Aww man I wanted 1st comment😞
Next time!

Just got an evil twin because your videos. Cant wait to test it. Love your channel.
Got the Nexus!!
Love the 686 dispatch! For the money they can't be beat. I've got 250 days on mine and they're still going strong. Resort, Backcountry touring, heli...they do it all.
They're solid! The stretch gore is so good
@@BoardArchiveagreed! The cross flow venting is much appreciated also.
absolutely love all my unions, but i keep coming back to the ultras. park, carving, or pow they’re just good at everything
Would you recommend your board and bindings for a beginner in the park (intermediate in freeriding)
TJ, what size you running on the bib? I'm similar build.
Hey TJ, what are your thoughts on 3BT for resort riding on firmer/icier days? Have seen so many mixed reviews on how it handles hard pack
Once you get used to the pressure to initiate the edge I don't think it makes a difference 99% of the time and has that same camber feel for edge hold. On extremely icy days where you're literally on sheets of ice it might have a slight disadvantage
What size did you get the mits in?
Only 15k usd gear
BA hoodie is my go to for any park days, best in the game
Hi. Where is timestamps? It's not hard to add. But making video more watchable. E.g. I don't interested in goglle, but want to know about mid layer and boots. So i need to scroll and try to find info...
Hi TJ, does it mean that your feet is actually 9.5 but you're wearing the Ride fuse in 8.5 size?
Just curious if you tried the magnetic facemask that comes with the M4
Hey do you know of any cheap goggles I could get?
the Smith Squad or Squad XL are a pretty good deal, some on sale right now. Check out my Labor Day video
why not run the anon magnetic mask?
I ran that for a season, the magnets are convenient but I still fogged up when I had it up unless I had the back of the neck tube hanging down. Also for videos I didn't like the plastic piece sticking up by my face while I was talking. I enjoyed the MFI the most during the spring when it was warmer
I have ankle problems and ride and union are the way to go
Are you going to review the Capita Mega Death board?
Yoo looking forward to the helmet, definitely on my list for this upcoming season 🙌
Good talk here.
Glad you’re back
I love the riding clips! It's like an edit + info
Solid advice. Also 3:15 😍🥵
love the lid!
Good ol’ Bateleon evil twin plus 🤝
