      We live in Larnaca Cyprus , Larnaca or paphos are probably the best places to live .
      Larnaca has the benefit of the international airport and being a coastal town .
      There is also very low crime rates in Larnaca , when you add to that sunny all year round and no traffic jams whatsoever it takes a lot yo best that .

      I bought a place in Pafos in 2001 and we lived there for a year. Hated it. In the summer it was too hot to do anything outside comfortably. In the winter everything closed down. We found it utterly boring. And because we had bought a place there we couldn't afford to holiday anywhere else. I'd recommend people rent 6 months through the winter to see how they get on. Don't make my mistake and go all in. Lost £8k by the time we sold up.

      Exactly all the med buildings have tiled flooring & single glazed windows as they're built for long not summer's so no central heating plus it gets wetter during winter. I have spent winter in Naples a few times, the rainfall is way higher & floods all the time, days are short & it's warm in the sun let's say 20 degree's but as soon as the sun's gone it can drop too well under 10 degree's

The ferry from Spain to Morocco takes only one hour, and the weather is just as bad but the Motorway goes all the way South to Agadir. The Atlas Mountain Range separates the cold Northern climate from the warm sunny South . Same climate as the Canary Islands and with vast and luxurious Motorhome sites at a fraction of the cost.

    The warmest and most temperate climate in the whole of europe during winter is the southern costa blanca and murcian region, and that is fact. With this area been south eastern spain it is sheltered somewhat from the atlantic south and west even more so than the costa del sol area. This area also has the extension of the sierra navada to the back so very sheltered, alicante and murcia has proved to be the mildest area to live in winter, during jan and feb it averages around 16-22c thru the day and norm around 10-15c at night. World weather generally blows west to east so spain and the canaries pick up the carribean wind and under sea currents. People can say what they want on here but the figures prove it.
    Northern spain, italy is cooler and the greek islands and turkey suffer from the baltic influence during winter. Cyprus and malta are pretty good temps in winter.

    • @JC-oj7ci
      @JC-oj7ci Год назад +4

      No, that is not correct. In all of Spain the climate is humid because of the Atlantic Ocean. The Baltic countries are very far away from Greece and Turkey and cannot influence the weather there. In the south of Greece there are winter Temperatures between 15 and +20 degrees like this year. Both in the south of Spain and in the south of Greece there are days below 15 degrees in winter but that only lasts 2 to 3 days

    • @JC-oj7ci
      @JC-oj7ci Год назад +4

      In southern Spain the nights in winter are very often very cold (2,3 or 4 degrees). I know it from experience. And one more thing: average annual temperature in Greece 22 degrees and in Spain 18 degrees

    • @jabato9779
      @jabato9779 Год назад +2

      @@JC-oj7ci You cannot compare average temperatures of Spain and Greece because Spain is much more diverse and bigger. When you say all of Spain is humid, same thing, there are quite stark differences between the north and the south of Spain; left aside the Canary islands. Southern Spain is the sunniest area in continental Europe (Las Tabernas desert is there, where many Western movies were filnmed). Maybe Malta has 4 hours more of sun than Almería per year. Now, Lanzarote and Fuerteventura are the sunniest, just off the Sahara.

    • @JC-oj7ci
      @JC-oj7ci Год назад +5

      @@jabato9779 The sunniest places in Europe are Malta and then southern Greece and then comes southern Spain. The Canary Islands belong politically to Spain but geographically to Africa. And yet they are no sunnier that Malta or Rhodes. And all climate experts say that Greece has the best climate in Europe and I can confirm it from experience. All of Spain has a humid climate because of the Atlantic Ocean, in the north it is naturally wetter because the climate there is the same as in central Europe

      I visited Tropea last September - the water on the beach was warm enough to swim all day.

      My wife and I always spend November, December, January in Tenerife. Last February and March, we spent six weeks in Paphos, Cyprus, as it is not in the Schengen area. The weather just cannot compare with the Canary Islands. We were told by the locals that the winter in Cyprus was the wettest in living memory. Nevertheless, we shall be returning next year for seven weeks, as the weather, although not particularly warm or dry, is still better than in northern Europe. Many of the houses suffer from damp and mould, as there is no guttering nor downpipes. Damp courses are unknown.

    The truth is with this recent economy. Everyone needs more than there salary to be financially stable. The the best thing to do with your money is to Invest it rightly because money left for saving always end up used with no returns..

      You do realize that there is no real border between Europe and Asia, yes? It's one continent Eurasia. And if you do want to make artificial distinctions, then it's a hell lot more on the European side of Eurasia.
