MK7 GTI (STH) Autocross - PCA Chesapeake Test and Tune - Bowie - March 30, 2024 - Run 3 of 7

First DRY autocross of the 2024 season. A Test and Tune with PCA Chesapeake at the BaySox Stadium. First time driving the car in the dry with newly installed front camber mounts and ball joints. Had massive improvements from first to last run as I learned how much more responsive the steering is along with increased grip from the wider tires. Had camera issues with my crappy camera so the only run I filmed was the third of 7 and was not nearly my best time. This run was a 51.1. Had a newbie ride along this run. Think he enjoyed it. My best clean run was a 49.6, good enough for 9th overall. My last run I coned away a 49 flat which would have been 5th overall.

Nice RUN 3! You seemed to be planning ahead the whole time!! Nice, loose hands in the tight stuff too! I see you listening to what the 660s were telling you, first thoughts of new setup in the dry?

49 flat?! that has to be fastest FWD, and maybe fastest car that will seat 4 adults?

Al and I were pretty much a dead heat at 49.6/49.7 clean....but he had 17 runs in the AM.😁
