I have an 04 Lexus RX 330 made in Japan with 175K miles, I have replace a timing belt, water pump, camshaft bearings seals, new pulleys, thermostat, transmission flush, transmission filter, spark plugs. Maintenance is key to get 500,000 miles out of these cars. When changing the oil always, always use a Toyota oil filter. The only thing I don’t like about these 3.3 L is that they are “Interference Engine”, meaning if the timing belt breaks, you’re most likely going to have to replace the engine, unlike the 3.5 L that come with a timing chain. I know Lexus recommend changing the timing belt every 90,000 miles, I would recommend using OEM parts, you do not want to use cheap Chinese parts. I have read online some people driving 300K miles without changing the timing belt on these engines, but take that with a grain of salt. Maintenance is key.
Just bought this same one in a tan color. Florida car with 90k miles looks almost new even underneath and the seats hardly show wear and came with weather tech mats. Just had timing belt water pump. front air shocks and thermostat replaced. Total cost including repairs almost 13k but with any luck I shouldn't have to spend much for a good while. I like the looks of the 330 better than the 350 otherwise I would have spent a little more for a newer 350. You probably know they had a recall for dashboards cracking I notice yours looks good so maybe it'was replaced. My brother has the 2009 Avalon and they are really nice cars.
I used to watch ur videos about the avalon and I actually bought one two weeks ago its in pretty good shape 2011 limited heated cooled seats 12 JBL premium I mean its just gorgeous and it only has 120k kilos which is around 74k miles. Drives like a dream smooth powerful engine. I hope u didn’t sell yours😤
Hey. Loved your video! I just bought an '04 RX330. I came from a '98 Avalon and agree. I love the big luxury car ride and handling. My side mirror is also bronzed, which is weird. If you find out what it is or how to fix it, I'd appreciate the info. Mine is the classic silver with black leather interior.
Nice purchase! I wish we had the black interior, but I don't mind the tan much. I ended up finding a video that I followed for the replacement of the mirror, and I can't believe I didn't think about recording the fix. It was pretty simple job honestly, but I had a difficult time getting the old mirror off, then getting the new one set properly. If you search "04 rx330 side mirror" one of the first videos that pops up by Tool Demos is the one I followed. Give it a shot!
Bought this car a month ago. 160k miles bought it for $6400. And since then spent $4800 on fixing it. $11,000+ total Basically bought it from facebook and got scammed! at the time it looked fine but after 2-3 days it showed signs of defects. Since then it keeps on having new issues. Regret buying this.
@@theaveragecar672 yeah it would sell for like max $7000. But now again the car has all the lights on the vsc trac off and check engine light. I am fed up!
@@fardeenimran5009 Hi Fardeem, I got an 09 earlier this year for $6500, I bought a bluetooth OBD scanner and tracked my CEL to knock sensor connection issues, did those, CEL still on, it ended up being a burnt cable, there's lots of information for these lexus on their forums. Also lots of parts on ebay if you have access to that. mine has 73k miles so I guess it is younger but all in all its a nice deal if I compare mine (6500 car + 3500 tune up) to the newer years, also 2010 looks like a mom car lol

Fuel economy is okay, but it’s a 20 year old v6 suv. I can get 24-25 highway maybe if I’m driving it nice and there’s no head wind. Usually like 20ish combined though
How’s the rx330 treating you? I’m looking to get one of these as the 350 is a bit out of price range as well (at least what I wanna spend cash outta pocket)
@@theaveragecar672 thank you. Maybe I’ll be lucky enough to find a 350 in a few months. Have always loved both and i travel 25-30k miles a year doing sales so a comfortable ride if what I need
My dad's had 328k miles when it got crushed by a drunk driver...
U made an excellent purchase !
Ah damn, that's really unfortunate. They really are great cars. I've been loving it!

Cual es más rápida y mejor, la lexus 330,, o la lexus 350
It’s not a full interference engine, there’s many cases of the TB breaking on the 3.3 resulting in no catastrophic damage
I have a 2004 RX330 AWD and it runs great. Awesome vehicle. I have 50,000 on mine.
Incredible, that'll last you a long time if you take care of it.

You’ve got yourself a gem! No, I still have it and love it. This is just our 2nd car!
Hi, do you still drive the car? what is the oil consummation for the car?
Yes I do. I don't have any oil burning issues.
Any oil leaks?
Nope.

How much did you pay for it? I'm looking at one with a little over 100k miles.. Nice vid!
I paid $7,700 for it and I live in Oregon! I overpaid a bit to be honest, but at the time, it was the best priced one.
Pretty bad mats.
