Yeah it always struck me as weird that Red just joined Jade with no explanation, especially when you consider she’s Jade’s biggest rival. Brandi got pregnant and eventually left, Kris Statlander got injured before her story ever started. So, by default, Red Velvet is Jade Cargill’s rival.
*Kierra was a temporary place-holder, until Red Velvet returned. Once she returned, Jade dropped Kierra, which made no sense to me. They could've made a storyline of Red Velvet stating that while she was away, Jade replaced her with Kierra and that she should've known not to trust her, because she never checked-up on her. And she could've used that to "pursuade" Kierra to leave Jade to herself, as a loner.*

Maybe it'll get there eventually but the baddie's breakup feels like it's putting Jade more over and making me care less about the others. I assume they want the opposite effect.
@wwe7466 Best friends were an established tag team long before AEW. They were a team before Trent went to NJPW to form Roppongi Vice. Velvet & Hogan were singles stars. Also, AEW doesn't have women's tag titles so there's no reason for ppl to form teams. Best friends have tag titles to chase and try to win coz they're are a tag team. Both are good singles wrestlers but are way better as a team. Also, I think Best Friends could work kinda like The New Day and 1 could win a singles title while keeping the support of the other.
Even jada was a force I wouldn’t mind if Velvet and we have three matches first match jada vs velvet over coming her and taking the title second a tag team match no squad jada and the baddies won or 3 vs 3, next match Jada wins in a submission match, then the title on the title on the line with velvet retaining. I think it would be dope if velvet takes the title at revolution at SF

@@FTSKEV24 she isn't strong in the ring but they were absolutely right to give her the title. She looks like a million bucks and she would for sure make a casual channel flipper stop to see what is going on.
Here's a theory: Red Velvet joined the Baddies in order to study Jade's weaknesses or to indirectly exploit her like how she refused to tag her.
Another theory is when both Jade and Red having a power struggle. She's trying to outsmart a master. Talking about egomaniacs, Jaded simply hired the Baddies member and treating them as expendables.
Thank you! It made zero sense, actually, and it was random AF. Because of that, this'll be like the third time they've restarted this feud! TK needs to learn that Red Velvet is Jade's Joker. Or Batman.

@@ibw5388 Yea. Her storytelling is decent. But mostly she does pump kicks, botched a slam which likely bruised up Hogan, and a choke slam... Hogan made that look good.
I totally agree. Jade is an excellent storyteller and has grown by leaps and bounds.

That chokeslam by Jade was epic.

It was decent, but her slam at 16 about broke Hogan's ribs. Mostly it is just pump kicks right now. And the choke slam... most of that was due to Hogan jumping up.

Skye Blue did great at this match (two of her specialities, wrestling hard for great part of the bout and not been in these videos, even mentioned, or just for seconds), as Kiera and Velvet, Jade was most active than in previous matches, strong and simple. Today Skye is having a chance against Jade, attention to interferences and shenanigans, there is a chance to begin the year with a huge surprise.
Been waiting for this opportunity for Red Velvet to emerge on her own and deliver the 1st lost to Jade Cargill and take the TBS championship
Her first lost is coming soon enough.
Red could take it and I'd be happy. So long as they don't drop the feud again.

If they're building this up for Red Velvet to somehow beat Jade in the near future, that will be outstanding booking that they've done leading up to that.
Velvet isn't beating Jade. She tried three other times and lost. I do see this as a way to have Velvet leave Jade and become a tag team with Kiera cause AEW looks to be gearing towards women's tag championships.
I would say that it is towards breaking up the baddies as a Start of the Beginning of the end for jade. but Velvet won't necessarily be the one that breaks it.

Is Red Velvet really that over to be the one to defeat Cargill tho? Like compare this to Jamie Hayter and Britt Baker, the audience was absolutely hoping Hayter would turn on her and beat her for the title a la Triple H vs Batista. But I'm not feeling the same here for Red Velvet unfortunately. They can always change that tho, push Red Velvet to the moon and write good angles for her and the crowd could absolutely get behind her!

I did like how they tied the Kiera/Jade/Velvet Story but the only sad thing is Kiera is getting the short end of the stick(unless Kiera helps at least even up the odds when Velvet goes for the TBS title) Kiera has become the AfterThought and where is SHE gonna go after this angle?
Hopefully Kiera and Skye stay as a permanent team. They got squashed by Jade in this one but I could see them as being a solid mid/upper high-flyer team if they ever make a reasonable women's tag division.

Think that would of been the perfect time for Jade to get pinned by Kiera Hogan as it wasn't a singles match so she still keeps her singles streak, elivating their rivalry, whilst also kicking off her rivalry with Velvet properly too, after she refused to tag, leading to the pin
Unless I'm misunderstanding things, it seems like they're counting tag matches as part of her streak, which is weird.
Jade really have come a long way from her debut. She looked so stiff back when she debuted, beautiful physique but that's it. Now, she's a bonafide pro wrestler.

Jade is still very green in the ring. The fact that she’s champion and undefeated makes no sense other then her physical appearance.

Red Velvet us JADEs natural rival, and is another home grown talent. Sure, then if MONE comes to AEW then she can beat Velvet, and then she can feud with JADE. Those three would make a great “little TBS division.” Throw in KIARA HOGAN and you gave 4 women that can via over that title.
All those women are beautiful and talented in their own ways but Skye Blue and Layla Grey are just so damn fine.

(personal opinion) Jade could lose the match and stay undefeated as a single competitor! The moment that Red Velvet turn her back and walked away, the surprise Roll Up should lead to the first loss of the powerful TBS champion, it would be a good surprise and a crack in the armour of the dominant champion, and Kiera Hogan and Sky Blue (the Sapphires?) could be established as a team with Madison Rayne as their coach. And Red Velvet right after the bell rings maybe with a mic on the ramp or backstage on Rampage she could explain why she turn against Cargill and challenge the champion for the title at the Battle of the Belts! And the Baddies could recruit Renee Michelle as the third member of the group!
