I’m surprised you didn’t have grapes since grapes are like palette cleansers for the taste buds after each different cheese. That or wine. Without a palette cleanser, it's like having one strong aftertaste after another.

They overreact to smelly cheese but they love fermented soybean paste (Doenjang) which is even worse?
Well it "feels" worse since we grow up with soybean paste and it "feels" worse since westerners(maybe not all of them but anyway) grow up with smelly cheese.
Its just comparative matter.

Ils ont mangé les pire mais les meilleurs fromages de France. Mais manger du fromage avec des crackers va les rendre encore plus salé. C'est mieux avec du pain une vrais baguettes.

Taleggio it's defenitely not the smelliest chees that we have, and honestly i don't find that it smells at all, but maybe because i'm use to it?! 😕🤷♀️

The Limburger cheese actually comes from the city Limburg in the Netherlands. I live close to it and people here eat it a lot. I also love the cheese 🇳🇱❤️☺️

For the "Camembert" & "Brie" there is different kind, some are stronger than others. :)
Instead of camembert (which is the most famous french cheese), you should taste the cheese called "Cantal doux". ;)

With "Cantal doux'" cheese, you can't never be disappointed.
