Your comment about Kevin's desire to protect his father's legacy is likely very true. In the WWE DVD about World Class, Kevin makes a remark about "Everyone wants to tell the story like big mean ol' Fritz beat up his kids and made 'em wrestle". Well he may not have beaten them up, but I believe he damn sure made them wrestle.
Great job guys. Your narration has elements of what made James Guttman's WorldWrestlingInsanity website good, like the willingness to inject humor and sarcasm, within appropriate reason, into your scripts. I shared Part 1 with a friend of mine, and now he's a subscriber too. Keep 'em coming!

Yeah I agree I think while the boys certainly emulated their father, he most definitely pressured and pushed them way too much.
I really appreciate the support and sharing it so much thank you!!

I've always likened Fritz Von Erich to Joseph Kennedy, Sr. Joseph Kennedy wanted each of Sons to grow up and become The President of The United States. Fritz Von Erich wanted his sons to become The National Wrestling Alliance (NWA) World Heavyweight Champion! . While Fritz has a run as The American Wrestling Association (AWA) World Heavyweight Champion, he never had a run as The NWA World Heavyweight Champion. I also believe that Fritz did pressure his Sons to become Professional Wrestlers.

22:39 "Vinces McManifest Destiny" might be the greatest description I've ever heard for McMahons takeover of the wrestling world.

I’m not a wrestling fan, but i watched the movie…very well done, and your commentary is welcomed to tell the true story. An anecdote…one time stopping at a small VA country store, a limousine was parked there, and Rick Flair was inside. I did recognize him, not sure if knew who he was, but definitely a presence.

As a native Dallasite who was born after the heyday of the Von Erichs....the story of the Von Erich family always fascinates me. My father has recounted about the few times my grandfather would take him to the old Dallas Sportatorium. A part of me wishes I'd been able to witness it myself. I've even watched a number of old WCCW matches.
I have a tremendous amount of respect for Kevin. Strong man. May God Bless him and all his fallen brothers as well as Fritz and Doris. Texas Legends indeed.

I know exactly how you feel I was born in WCCW’s downward spiral so I never got to see the glory days as they were happening When I was watching this the first time, the scene with everyone walking up to the Sportatorium really made me wish I could have lived and witnessed it first hand. WCCW was groundbreaking for their time, their shows honestly are still really good.

@reelstory amazing work man this and the blood sport Doc rules. I also love old school nwa and wccw wrestling, my girlfriend also only wanted to see this movie because of Zac Effron and she knows nothing about wrestling. Can’t wait for the next video! Are you going to do the wrestler?

Thank you so much! Heyday wrestling was the best, i was a tape trader in the mid to late 90s but I legit can’t imagine the mark I’d have been if I would have been an adult in the 70’s and 80’s. I’m currently finishing Part 2 of the Spartacus episode, then I have an idea for an October video and there is always that Seagal ranking that is looming in the future… but past that options are definitely open for topics!

I can really relate to what Kevin von Erich says about grief because in May 17th of 2018 I lost somebody and it feels like I'm missing a piece of my body she was my twin sister Angie Valenti it does not ever get better grief does not ever go away but yeah you do you get better

Men, if you wanna know how much the female fans were attracted to the Von Erichs, search Lacy Von Erich. It's genetic
