I know he's an amazing improv comedian, but there's a certain flow to H. Jon Benjamin's animated conversations, that's present in every cartoon he voices in.
Ben wanting to die from his dental pain had me laughing so hard as a kid I nearly threw up. H Jon has long been my favorite voice actor. No one else even comes close.

Home Movies has always been my fav, but since I’ve edited Dr Katz to Ben scenes I notice myself watching it more and more. It’s also newer to me, though. Wish I had left in the bar scenes with Julie and Stanley. I’ll edit those and make a video some day. Believe it or not all of it only took me 4-5 hours I’d say, albeit the editing is pretty poor lol. This is awesome!... the interactions between Ben, Dr Katz, and Laura are the best part of the show... The comedians were usually awful (with a few exceptions) and I usually skipped past them... Thank you!
@@turb0j3sus26That I know of, the creator and voice of Dr Katz also voices a couple of characters in home movies and the guy who voices Ben Katz voices Coach Mcguirke and couple of other characters. That's the only official correlation I could find but I assume the creators of both shows were probably friends and exchanged ideas a lot which is why both shows share a voice cast
😏 I just love how they did this, what I mean is this. The characters are in color and everything else is in black and white. How they did this, was a cool idea. I guess you can say, it's a little bit edgy and a little bit different. i miss watching this on📺
Now that I think about it, I would love a version of this show with basically everything BUT the therapy sessions with the comedians. I've always found the interactions between Ben, Laura, the bar scenes, etc, much more interesting. Their lives are more interesting than what the comedians are saying.

This show came out in the nineties, so Ben would be almost fifty by now. So close to your age. Are you saying this was how you acted in the nineties? Or that the writers of this show possessed a crystal ball and used that to make sure their character would represent not the youth of their time, but the youth almost three decades later?
