If you are taking your LENOVO T500 laptop apart be careful and wear an anti-static wrist band or use other anti-static device. If you need to change a LCD usually you don't have to take screen out of a laptop. You can leave it on a laptop and watch the last part of the video where I am taking LCD apart. If you need to change a keyboard, you don't have to take all bottom screws out. There are usually some marks, like a keyboard picture, on a case bottom. If you need to put a laptop back to work be aware of screws. They are different and you better remember or mark them somehow to insure that you will put them back in to a right place.
Some laptops I take apart first time, so don't be serious on my time and performance.
If something got broken - ooops, it's your fault.
Believe me, some parts in your laptop are already broken, you just don't see that.
This video is like insurance for your laptop. With this video and some skills you will be always sure that at least you can try to repair your laptop. If it's broken you don't have to sell it or throw it away. You can find some new or used parts somewhere and change it. It maybe will be your new job or hobby. And if it didn't worked out you still will be able to ask somebody else to fix it.
So, just watch this video and fix your laptop.

Everything runs smooth and works JustU.Faith/Thinkpad-T will randomly say (isnt charging) even though plugged in but than charges the next day. Smooth and no lag for my dj programs and youtube rct.Cant handle world of warcraft with lowest settings as expected.can handle opposing force type of games.no problems with the startup or software.
i know I am pretty off topic but do anyone know a good place to watch new series online ?

I do that for several reasons. Repair, disassembly to use in other laptops. Some are broken. Some completely not working. Not for fun. Many put together.
In the video description you wrote: “Be careful and wear an anti-static wristband.”
Which is sound advice. But why didn’t you wear one during this teardown?

you cut the most important part, where you figured out, how the board becomes lose, now the video is useless and took me 10 minutes of my life.
do you happen to have a lenovo t530 video? also is the graphics card the brass piece with the fan?
Why do you actually take these apart? I mean are they broken, for fun, and do you put them back together?

It is a very durable machine it lasts even today. I have the same model but does not have camera. My question is: Is it possible to mount a camera to a model which is originally did not have camera? I mean, should the plastic frame changed or enough to drill a hole for the camera lens. Maybe the default display ribbon cable has the connection option to the camera. thanks
First of all, if there is a type.of t500 with webcam and webcam/without webcam have the same motherboard. That's important, because otherwise where are you going to plug-in a webcam? If there is, finding a space for it within bezel/lid could be problematic, not impossible, but hard to also manage webcam cable.

Maintenant je souhaite flasher la memoire eeprom P24s08 car elle est bloquée, mais je ne trouve pas le bios
usine autre que que celui proposé par le support Lenovo.
Pouvez vous m'aider à avoir cette copie depuis un autre T500 si possible ou m'orienter vers un site ....

amigo tengo una lenovo r500 ultimamente tiene una broma que se me apaga solo es como su perdiera fuerza no se que le pasa asi tenga su bateria y conectada con su cargador se apaga que usted cree que sea esto sera que se le daño algo por se me apaga tiene que aver alguna explicacion para eso. por casualidad no sabes a que se debe mi caso?
I think this idea should come from your fiance. :) If you are not sure he can handle it or specially if he is not sure, better ask friends who knows someone, some trusted technician who can perform this task. Yes you will have to pay, but it is better than blame someone you don't want to blame that your laptop is broken :)
I need to reset the Supervisor password on a Lenovo Thinkpad T500. I'm looking for the EEPROM but cannot find it, I believe it's on the bottom side of the motherboard, but I don't know how to remove the bottom plastic cover. Must I remove the LCD screen for this? It's really difficult to access the EEPROM, if you know where it is, and how to access it, it would really help me.

You should really use a wired anti-static wristband. the wireless ones are a scam.
What for? like you never watched Linus video where he tried to destroy the RAM with a lot of static? It's a MYTH really, if you don't have anything synthetic on you and have proper shoes, you'll never destroy anything.
it was working propertly befor when i conect internet, after that it dosnot work , when i open fingerprint manager it shows like this ( the fingerprint sensor is not detected. please ensure that the fingerprint sensor is properly configured and try again) after i check Biometric devices state then it shows (This device is working properly.) then what's wrong in my laptop (fingerprint sensor) pls healp me?

A question. Is the dedicated ATI card a separate, non-soldered unit? I don't use it. I'd rip out that damn thing and sell it :)

I'm not sure if I should have my fiance try to clean the fan or if i should just pay someone I don't know to clean the fan. This video showed me this is really complicated... and scary. :(

I got the same one for free from a customer, and I had to change its thermal paste before selling it, holy crap that's SUCH a difficult computer to open! Differents screws, plastics tabs everywhere....Ew
