I feel like the pale garden should have more things, like plants and flowers, maybe even a well like in the desert. I mean, it called the pale GARDEN ya know?
It probably will, the biome we saw does feel more like a demo and not a complete design. I pray that they add more plants and blocks to make it feel more alive and unique, which I'm sure they will do. (at least i hope)
I was disappointed it wasn't a willow tree after all. This was their opportunity to bring aspirin into the game. It would be a whole new potion of healing and a nod to the old time medicine men.
I agree! White jack-o’-lantern would really add some variety to our Halloween builds. Pale peony or white roses would be a great addition to the biome as well
Same maybe a pale greenhouse with some cool and interesting plants only accessible in the Pale Garden, I mean it is a garden. May there can be traps in it and another hostile mob could be guarding it like a undead farmer but looking like The Creaking instead of being a retextured villager.
Personally I feel like the biome is missing something. Like, a structure or smth. Imagine if there was a semi-small haunted mansion in the center of the garden. Filled with traps everywhere. Where you can find a new unique item thats actually worth going through the forest for. Cuz right now, outside of the wood, the forest feels a bit useless. I don't see a reason to go there tbh. Fog is also 100% a must for this biome Aside from that, pretty cool drop
Agreed! Maybe, they'll add a few things to it. Apart from aesthetics and pranking other players, I don't know what you're supposed to do with a creaking heart. It'd be awesome if they add more things to it. I feel like the pale garden biome is linked to some lore but the elements are not there yet. I've felt disappointed during the last 2 minecraft live events but when the updates came out I had a lot of fun playing the new content. I'll also be looking forward to it.
What I would like to put in the pale garden: -A cemetery -A well -A haunted mansion -Ghost mobs (they don't attack you and they don't get damage) -Fog The structures I mentioned should be rarer so that they'll fit in it.
Wait, calm down, we just had tricky trials, Minecraft isn't a Dungeon Dweller. Not every single corner should be filled with dungeons and loot, the concept is cool as it is, just as cozy biomes like the cherry blossom
Honestly sad about people hating on Mojang for the update being small. Do most people not understand that the updates are going to be more frequent and this might be just a minor update? That being said, the biome still feels a little stale. I feel like it needs a different tree shape, fog, and maybe some form of vegetation to make it feel like a garden.
They should add more to the pale garden, a fog and a purpose for it would fix it imo... Edit: also is it just me or is the trees in the pale garden look exactly like the dark oak trees? They should also add more willow like trees, that's my only complains
It seems like the Pale Garden is not going to allow any mobs to spawn there besides the Creaking, so once you clear out all the Creakings you'll have a fairly large area that won't allow mobs to spawn, which I could see being very useful for certain types of farms and builds. I could also see this biome being amazing for people who want to build a village where the villagers can run free and not have to worry about their favorite Librarian Villager randomly getting killed by a zombie. I'm not saying the Pale Garden couldn't use some improvements, I just think that it's better than how you're making it out to be. Edit: I made these assumptions based on the main preview and not the aftershow, which seems to have suggested that mobs will spawn here just like any other biome.
The Pale Garden is an amazing concept that I’m already loving however it needs more. It needs a structure (perhaps just a small one) and some more plants. White pumpkins and some monotone flowers perhaps. Apart from the wood there is not much reason to go to the Pale Garden so o hope that gets changed.
I hope they add the update near Halloween as a seasonal drop. It would be cool to have special drops for winter near Christmas or that they update the desert around summer.
@VOIDTHEGOD000 agreed, my best guess it they may go for 2 to 3 updates a year, depending on what specifically they are adding, and smaller updates like this will hopefully reduce stress and increase progress on the game.
the creaking heat needs to add something, cuz players are just gonna sleep through the night and will harvest materials at day and i would like them to make something that adds use to mining a creaking heart
@@AuriPlayzz yeah it sounded like they were going to but then the after show made it look like the attacked you placing it down so idk why you would want to place it again if your gonna get attacked
@@trenthall1696 I doubt that you can “tame” it. If it does attack mobs you’ll just have to summon it and keep looking at it until you get into your base
Was I disappointed during the live? Yes. But then I remembered something that the rest of the community needs to consider. This isn’t even 1.22, this is a small side update. An end update is still possible, stay positive guys.
Honestly this drop is going to be awesome. I really like how they implemented the pale gardens onto the surface of the overworld without getting rid of the “it’s only dangerous on the overworld’s surface at night” rule they’ve had for a while. Also I guess most Minecraft fans just can’t comprehend that this isn’t the annual yearly update and is instead one of many for this year.
However it’s only happening twice a year after this update, the last Minecraft live was in 2023. So they did in fact have the same time as they did for the other updates.
@@Starix888The problem with you people is you immediately jump to assumptions/conclusion. Ever heard the concept of _"waiting"_ for other drops' release?
Second post after reading the comments: I am always amazed how many complain about a free upgrade to a $20.00+ game that they bought before, up to 15 years ago, that they've never had to shell out another cent for all the versions that keep it up to date.
theyre not free, we pay with the advertise we make, so mojang can sell "minecraft's name" to the world, they release something, we, the players make something 300x better with it, minecraft get famous and famous, so mojang can sell their educational version and make toys and other games that wont last 1 year, how do u think they got moneyy to make the movie? ITS NOT FREE, we not the ones who need the update, its mojang who needs, so they can keep the bussiness, all we ask for its that they make up to the legacy of the biggest game in the world, but they dont. Also, have you thought about the minecraft price outside os US? in Brasil is like 120 reais, witch is 10% of or salary base
Updates exist for a reason. If it werent profitable, they would have stopped long ago. Updates are what keep the game in the publics view. After every update, the amount of people playing the game skyrockets, the amount of sales jumps up too. We have every right to ask for content because we, the players, are what keep the game alive.

Weather based fog, white pumpkins/melons/gourds, fireflies, taller jungle-ish trees, maybe a crow/owl parrot variant, increased enderman and spider/bogged spawn and a cave type/tiny dungeon for the biome could make this huge
@@Zhella_alt0999while you're completely right, OP has a point. The biome is empty. Not in a cool, mysterious way. It just feels unfinished. Some unique flowers could help make it interesting.
I hope the biome has more potential than what they already showed. I think the tree generation is too similar to the dark forest biome, there should be some more different shapes (some really tall, others with large branches spreading over long distances).
Look, there is no such thing as a bad update, what theyve added is really cool... but the problem is that the game has things that need far more attention before adding new things like this. Even as the #1 advocate for a Quality of Life/Ambience update, we still need biome updates and the End update. Anways, excited to see how Realism Craft approach intergrating this update
@@mamabudgieclipper2735The last few updates haven’t really been “building into each other” that’s only claimed by them finishing features from caves and cliffs. What has the ancient city built into 1.20? What has the camels built into trial chambers? Other than 1.20 adding features like trims and pottery where every update they can add more, we are starting to get updates that have no substance. My issue isn’t the update “not being good” because this game isn’t meant to be a whole new experience every update. My issue is that the features in this update have no overall linking to anything. Unless they plan to somehow build off of this with new pale stuff, it’s just something by itself. The only reason 1.17 18 19 20 and 21 can be seen as “building from eachother” is because the updates up until 1.21 were just caves and cliffs update parts. I actually wouldn’t even mind update parts, it worked fairly well for the last years and I liked the updates. But this seems like it’ll just be a sole biome. I’d hope that the second drop either links or starts something new
@Volonid why should they always link to an existing thing? You know we had no mobs apart from the enderman that has used the lookat function code many modders and developers wanted more mobs to use the component and now theirs another. The only updates that should build upon existing stuff should be the big updates both the bundles and pale garden is drops not update their not 1.22 their 1.21.40 or 1.21.60 their not a focused update they've said so.
10:30 I do think it looks spooky and beautiful. I can think of a real good use for autumn builds and Halloween builds, I hope they add a white pumpkin.
What i like is that the add differences to Mobs instead of just making new Versions of mobs they did something completly different adding a new type of mob mechanic
The trial chambers when they were announced had 10 times more content though. If this update reflects several months of work at Mojang, it's just underwhelming.
@@kofi3124 I think that's why they are changing their Update strategy, smaller updates so people don't intentionally expect so much, especially when they did one big Update after another, evert 1-2 years, Village and Pillage, Nether Update, Caves and Cliffs, Wild Update, Tricky Trials... Hopefully them cutting back on the scale of their updates, and the ability to make more progress with less stress so we can expect multiple updates over the year, will be a much better strategy for both the developers and the players.
I love how the update is, the immersion needs work. It could use mist at night, not the minecraft fog. The creeking needs to move a tad faster and i think it should do poses when you look at it instead of it just standing there. Other than that, everything else they nailed, the wood and wood set is perfect. When needed that white wood for ages. I loved the idea of the creeking heart too.
My one critique with this update is you could experience it all in the same time as minecraft live. It’s 30 minutes of content, plus a retextured dark oak forest and new wood. One youve seen the new monster and played around with the creaking heart, maybe trolled a friend or two, the updates over. Okay, bundles are nice but like really? A billion dollar company took three months to retexture a biome and hype up everything because they fixed bundles for pocket edition? I’m fine with smaller drops but I signed up for an update not an indie demo game. Just to clarify for the argument in the comments - the update wasn’t necessarily bad - just mediocre. We deserve more than this. As much as I have been defending mojang in the past, I can’t for this update. Before you read this and say “youre wrong because my opinions are better” these are my thoughts. The update has so little content. The creaking is a distraction from the new forest biome, which, although looks cool and I agree could be useful in building, really mojang? It can’t be that hard to add a biome and a tree. The creaking heart has no use, outside of a one-time troll. There could’ve been so much more in this update and so much more in this biome. It had so much going for it! A spooky vibe, and some really nice ambience! I just hope the future “drops” can finally add something useful to the game. I understand building blocks and the like make people happy and I’m here for that too - I like building - but on top I’d love a new structure or a new item or a new enchantment. Thanks for listening to my yap.
At the end of the day, all of the updates are free + they're more often now! You would have gotten this result in the summer but with a few more pieces of content attached to it... I think they're making this decision so they can finally settle and crack down on all the biome and mob votes they put forward into the community. For Java we paid 24 pound for lifetime access to Minecraft with what Wattles said was at least 15 more years of free updates. Most games will have died by then so let it live and breath. If every update were to outshine the last one Mojang would burn out so quickly and peoples expectations would become far too high.
It isn’t finished at all yet, neither were the trial chambers when they released those. Maybe wait for the update to actually be finished for you to make your opinion on it. Istg ppl complain so much for barely any reason. Just chill.
Concept idea : A haunted house or abandoned mansion that you have to loot and it is a lot effort because the creaking can break trough windows and doors and make it almost impossible to avoid the traps and also loot everything.
I feel the new biome is still missing a lot of aura and atmosphere. I know it’s very early in development but some pale-esque flowers and mushrooms would do ALOT for the biome imo, maybe even some fog would be nice. Ig it’s also cool that it’s just a polar opposite of the dark oak forest but still would’ve been better as a biome only found in the End or maybe even the Nether. Overall, happy for the new wood set and the new mob. The Creaking having Weeping Angel mechanics is refreshing
huge gamer here, 15k hrs in Destiny 2, also a Dad......i recently started playing minecraft with my 2 kids now that they are old enough and into it, your content and past vids have been really helpful in teaching me whats what and your content is super cool, thank you
They should make anew helmet that you combine with a mob head to make the creaking think your looking at them similar to the carved pumpkin with endermen
are people seriously complaining about the update being small? buddy, they’re trying to be more like these other companies that drop small updates here and there. you can’t have a HUGE update every single time anymore. i personally prefer smaller updates anyway! 🙄 anyway, thank you, wattles, for the recap! ❤️😊
Pale gardens will not generate near regular forests. This biome likely has the same humidity as the dark forest so it will likely border old growth taigas, birch forests, jungles and dark forests
The pale garden isn’t really that scary I think they should add fog to it and the creaking when it spawns they should make load noise that gives you slowness and then in 15 seconds after the slowness runs out there is just quiet then the creaking spawns behind the player and attacks that would be so cool
I think it might have been interesting to add some sort of grass that traps you if staying there for too long, would've added bigger challenge in that biome.
Yeah fog would be interesting, tho I wonder how preformace would do in game. Maybe it can be like darkness from a warden but instead of blackness it's just foggy white so you can somewhat see.
@@EmperorPenguin1217Could you tell me what that means.(I don’t want a negative explanation because I know you’re always blatantly negative, at least from my seeing)

Idea: They give the drops major update numbers, so e.g. the Bundles of Bravery drop is 1.22, the Pale Garden Drops is 1.23. That would probably bring us to 1.25 by 2025 and if they then go back to drops being minor updates and release the major update at the beginning of the year (starting with 1.26 at the beginning of 2026) we will have such a logical name for every version, perfectly fitting the years
People you have to understand. These are small drops, not full-fledged massive updates. Kind of like what happened with the Armored Paws update. We're going to get these drops more frequently. These features aren't even bad, people are just complaining that the update is small. It's just stuff to hold us off until the next big thing. Yall need to calm down, plus we get TWO minecraft lives. I would wait until that MCLive to judge if we're getting less content per year. The minecraft lives are usually around 1.5 hours long, we got a 1/2 hour of mc live, if they introduce the big update in the next minecraft live it'll probably be around an hour, add the two up thats basically the normal duration of a minecraft live. Also, saying that we would've gotten the end update if we didn't get this is such bullshit. You want to know what we would've gotten? Nothing! At least nothing of note. At best we get a teaser and the update drops in around a 1-2 years. You guys can't seriously think that Mojang was working on this the whole time right? There's definitely more we haven't seen. Maybe even a new spin-off. Just be patient.
The issue isnt that the update is small, its that the news is small. 6 months of content is: 1 mob and 1 biome. Thats _nothing_ Of course theyll probably be working on more. But theyre not _telling us_ enough to last half a year. Nowhere near. The show being an hour long live show wasnt necessary at all. This could have been done in a twitter post and it would have had exactly the same amount of content. Thats the issue here. People wasted an hour watching a live for this. Don't get me wrong. I think the drops will be great. I just think they went about this live in a terrible way.
@@fgvcosmic6752Wrong,you do realise porting new features into _vanilla_ Minecraft is a higher level of difficulty, right they just can't _add_ features easily into the game, plus they need to port it in bedrock, and that version was built differently
@@fgvcosmic6752modders can do that in 2 days, shut up with this "they have to make it for bedrock toooo". That can take one month at max (instead of 2 days), not 6 months.
The amount of negativity I saw right after the stream was super disappointing. Relating to the Pale Garden and the Creaking, I think it would be more fun and useful if there was a deep Silent Hill-esque fog in the biome as well as allowing the Creaking to defend your base from monsters when you place and activate the heart.
My only peeve comes from the fact I really want an End Update, or updates to existing biomes. That said, I really like this new biome, and find it odd that there are people who dislike it. I REALLY like building, and that Pale Oak is going to be AMAZING. Not sure if it's my new #1 wood type but it's easily top 5, and potentially top 3. Honestly, this new biome has me hoping for a black wood type and a green wood type in the future to help round out the colors we're missing wood types for. The Creaking is cool. I honestly hope there's something we can do with the Heart to make the Creaking 'passive' to the player and friendly mobs (cows / pigs / npcs / etc), while still being aggressive to enemy mobs like pillagers and zombies. Other then all that.... I would like the Pale Garden to have something else that is only present at night to incentivize going there in the dark. Maybe something like a glowing wisp we could catch in a bottle and use for something? IDK, I'm not a design person.
I think people like me dislike the pale garden because of how unfinished it looks, it’s super bland, basically a retextured roofed forest, and in my opinion a bit of an eyesore They should’ve made the leaves white, and hopefully they only showed a super unfinished biome because that was NOT it, not to mention the useless block that will only spawn hostile monsters when placed? Like what’s the point of that
maybe we could build with the directional particles! Imagine burying the creaking in a hole with like a fire or something that will keep "damaging" it, and then putting the heart way above it so you just have a big pillar of nonstop orange and black particles!
My only real concern is the incentive for going to the pale forest. Yeah, the white wood is cool and you can collect a heart. But why bother collecting a heart? What reason do you have to interact with this new mob? The only thing they’re missing is giving the Creaking a practical application. I have no incentive to collect Creaking hearts if the mob is useless outside of following you around and attacking. Can it defend my base? Can I use it in a farm? Can it produce or automate something for me? If not, why should I even bother with the new update? Either that or add a structure with new loot and make the Creaking guards for it
I expected the 'pale garden' to have like an abandoned house type structure with a white picket fence and white flowers and a small well or smthg like that.
Of course they will. But this _should have been made clear_ in the live. Even a statement as simple as "we have more that we wont be showing today" would have tided the fans over. The entire issue with this Live is that they showed so little over so much time.
@@fgvcosmic6752they obviously dont show everything in order to suprise people for 1). 2) they are avoiding the birch tree biome situation where they overpromised and ended up not being able to squeeze it in
The creeking is a cool mob and the white wood is cool. But why? What’s the reason to go to the pale garden? If you want the wood just go during the day and you never have to deal with the mob.
The creaking heart has to have a purpose. Like purifying it lets you create a minion that does your bidding or you can enhance bundles with it to make the bundles pull items into them from further distance and with priority over your main inventory if the picked item is already in that bundle. (For example, if you have 2 seeds in a bundle and you pick up more, they'll go directly into the bundle instead of your inv)
I honestly like the idea of it eventually linking to the Deep Dark. Right now, the deep dark is still mysterious. It has echo shards which only craft 1 singular item, and a mysterious "portal" in its centre. If another dimension is ever added, I personally hope both the creaking heart and the Deep Dark are important to it
Hear me out, the Pale Garden looks like a pale and dead version of the Dark Forest, so what if it has it's own version of the woodland mansion? Just with new illager types and different look!
The clip fixed ONE scene that made it look like they ruined crafting (even though items are called elements apparently) they are still focusing way too hard on being different and giving meaning, when has completely ruined the movie from what the fans wanted
I didn't think of it as bad like others did but it has gotten me a lot more excited than I initially was before. Yeah they didn't the best clips, I'll agree with that.
As a bedrock player im excited about hardcore mode! I think the creaking is neat, I do hope we get a little more foliage at some point, I was hoping with the name 'pale GARDEN' we'd get like a bush or a flower or two 😅
Hey. I might be delusional to be so hyped about this, but please let me be delusional. No need to try and prove me wrong. I respect your opinion, now please respect mine.
They said "within the coming Months" You can almost definitely expect it before the end of the year. Bundles of Bravery will probably be released during early October, and the Pale Gardens before the end of December. But, Snapshots will begin next Thursday, including the Pale Garden
Some build ideas using the pale garden biome and new wood type are: Haunted House, Graveyard, evil forest, noir mystery games, funeral home, builds that feel like a sketch, maybe holy builds like temples, insane asylum, hospital
the creaking reminds me of those ghosts that follow you in Mario when your aren't looking at them and then freezes when you look back at them. I'm currently looking forward to bundles finally being vanilla but that movie is now looking better now that it was explained a bit more. I was also excited to learn that Jack Black was actually playing the game after time on set and suggesting things the next day.
I like that oak has dark oak and now pale oak. I think it’s fitting the trees look like dark oak as nice as it is to have new tree shapes this seems like the most satisfying direction to go in
Am I the only one that doesn’t like the Creaking? It seems very non-threatening from the footage. The mob looks like it’ll be more annoying than scary or intimidating.
While I personally love the idea, I see why people wouldnt. I think maybe in first person perspective its scarier, though the biome _really_ needs work to accomodate the horror aura
"people are toxic at this point". We're asking for end update since 1.17. IT'S BEEN YEARS. they keeps making feature that are useless. Like, what the hell is the reason to add mobs that doesn't drop anything? Why should I fight them? After I took the sapling of basically white resin of darkoak, why should I go back in that biome?
I'm actually also wondering this, I think the creaking is cool & I'll for sure use the moss & wood, but like.... especially with it only being dangerous at night, what IS the motivation to fight it? Since it's not currently *the* final product, hopefully we'll get an answer for that by the time it drops!

I like that you can silk touch the creaking heart and it retains its effect. I thought it'd be funny to take a skulk shrieker and put it in a friend's base as a prank, but only naturally generated shriekers work. But now with the creaking heart you can do essentially the same, so that's cool.
Thank you for giving such a thorough recap of the live!!! Being down in Savannah, Georgia, dealing with the tropical storm Helene aftermath had been a haste and I was so upset I missed the live yesterday… but this was Great!! I’m so excited for the update!!! XD
Mojang should be held to a higher standard, this is a billion dollar company we're talking about and its sad people are ignorant enough to think otherwise.
I just know they are going to have some pretty good expansion with this biome because at this point they know how little of a glimpse they are giving us of the creeping and the origin of the pale garden i cannot wait to see what other cool lore and inventions they come up with 😊
The creaking can only move a certain distance from its heart but it was unclear how far. Also, this critter obviously takes inspiration from Dr Who's weeping angels, with one of the devs saying "Don't blink"...love it!
I’m so happy element animation is still revolving around Minecraft, I used to watch them 10 years ago it makes me happy :). I wish they would bring back Minecon! Those were AWESOME!
One other thing you forgot to mention was how the new pale moss carpet will also spread up to two blocks vertically onto blocks it it placed next to. Brand new concept for a carpet block. Also, creakings are only supposed to follow you up to a certain distance from their heart. Once past that radius, they can't follow you anymore.
Wattles, I know you said that the creaking will follow you indefinitely, but I’m pretty sure in the Minecraft live it said that if you leave pale garden they won’t follow you too far because they stick near the hearts, btw great vid! 👍🏼
It would've been kind of cool if the Deep Dark was related to this biome, creeping into the overworld and causing the atmosphere around the area to "die." It would make sense to me as well because it could indicate where an Ancient City could be located. It would be cool if Abandoned Villages had a high chance of spawning inside The Pale Garden. Also, I agree with another comment, some more foliage would be nice. I'm skeptical, but excited for The Pale Garden!
I think it'd be cool if pale gardens had a higher likelihood of generating abandoned/zombie villages. Kinda goes with the haunted vibe and would be a cool way to get a consistent source of zombie villagers if you ever need them.
I really hope they add more to the Pale Garden, there's so much potential here As you said, an abandoned village would be amazing and very fitting, like the forest once was a regular biome but got corrupted to the point not even hostile mobs can spawn and only the trees could thrive and evolve to the point of making themselves puppets in the form of the creakings White pumpkins, new flowers and fog (And potentially some rework to the trees to make them more distinct from the dark oak trees) are a MUST for this biome, I also saw on reddit someone suggesting they should desaturate the brown on the dirt blocks and I agree, they kinda ruin the look of the ground I would also love them to make the creaking more menacing, like the concept and design are already awesome, make them deal a bit more damage, maybe something like the more you have on your back the faster and deadlier they are, and please, I'm begging, once you start breaking the heart they should start to like freak out and reach out to you in order to stop you from taking the heart, with some Enderman-like screaming sound
I like the idea of an eery empty grey biome, but it'd be a lot more eery if it was the only empty biome. The other biomes need more stuff in them, so the emptiness of this biome can be felt.

I think it’s a perfect opportunity to add a calcite block set; I’m thinking some kind of marble ruins which look similar to ocean ruins
What I would like to put in the pale garden:
-A cemetery
-A well
-A haunted mansion
-Ghost mobs (they don't attack you and they don't get damage)
-Fog
The structures I mentioned should be rarer so that they'll fit in it.
Wait, calm down, we just had tricky trials, Minecraft isn't a Dungeon Dweller. Not every single corner should be filled with dungeons and loot, the concept is cool as it is, just as cozy biomes like the cherry blossom
Or maybe a castle or crypt?
Honestly sad about people hating on Mojang for the update being small. Do most people not understand that the updates are going to be more frequent and this might be just a minor update?
That being said, the biome still feels a little stale. I feel like it needs a different tree shape, fog, and maybe some form of vegetation to make it feel like a garden.
A bad update is still a bad update. Doesn’t matter how frequent they come

They should add more to the pale garden, a fog and a purpose for it would fix it imo...

they are still adding things just wait
Minecraft is a sandbox nothing actually needs a purpose
Wouldn't new building blocks be the purpose to going there? 🤨
Edit: I made these assumptions based on the main preview and not the aftershow, which seems to have suggested that mobs will spawn here just like any other biome.
pale wood gardener's hut with loot in it, MAYBE it has pale chests that only open at night so there's incentives to go there at night

The color palette and vibe is already perfect for some sort of wacky nightmare before christmas lookin structure
I would love to see a cemetery in the pale garden as kind of a structure. Also, they should add more fog, it makes it scarier

Updates exist for a reason. If it werent profitable, they would have stopped long ago. Updates are what keep the game in the publics view. After every update, the amount of people playing the game skyrockets, the amount of sales jumps up too. We have every right to ask for content because we, the players, are what keep the game alive.

Phantoms?
Ahhh yes you do know these are small updates to build onto those things that need bigger features
Exactly how I’m feeling
At the end of the day, all of the updates are free + they're more often now! You would have gotten this result in the summer but with a few more pieces of content attached to it... I think they're making this decision so they can finally settle and crack down on all the biome and mob votes they put forward into the community.
For Java we paid 24 pound for lifetime access to Minecraft with what Wattles said was at least 15 more years of free updates. Most games will have died by then so let it live and breath. If every update were to outshine the last one Mojang would burn out so quickly and peoples expectations would become far too high.
Retextured wood? Dude the logs look way different what are you on. Yes it takes 3 months for many reasons
It isn’t finished at all yet, neither were the trial chambers when they released those. Maybe wait for the update to actually be finished for you to make your opinion on it. Istg ppl complain so much for barely any reason. Just chill.
All woods are just retextured oak
Concept idea : A haunted house or abandoned mansion that you have to loot and it is a lot effort because the creaking can break trough windows and doors and make it almost impossible to avoid the traps and also loot everything.
The Creaking is basically the Weaping Angel if you think about it :P
It is and I love it.
"Dont blink. Dont even blink. Blink and your dead."
If I got a penny for every person who has said this; I’d make Elon musk look homeless.
I’m happy you’re not just calling it a bad update like everyone else and having the sense to see it still in development
I hope we get a content drop that fleshes out some of the mob vote winners. The sniffer and glow squid need the glow.(sniffer needs a lot honestly)

Pale gardens will not generate near regular forests. This biome likely has the same humidity as the dark forest so it will likely border old growth taigas, birch forests, jungles and dark forests
Woah, you caught that?
@@GenesisLaboratoriesOfficial well I just know how minecraft overworld biome builder works.
The pale garden isn’t really that scary I think they should add fog to it and the creaking when it spawns they should make load noise that gives you slowness and then in 15 seconds after the slowness runs out there is just quiet then the creaking spawns behind the player and attacks that would be so cool

Thats _nothing_
Of course theyll probably be working on more. But theyre not _telling us_ enough to last half a year. Nowhere near. The show being an hour long live show wasnt necessary at all. This could have been done in a twitter post and it would have had exactly the same amount of content. Thats the issue here. People wasted an hour watching a live for this.

Relating to the Pale Garden and the Creaking, I think it would be more fun and useful if there was a deep Silent Hill-esque fog in the biome as well as allowing the Creaking to defend your base from monsters when you place and activate the heart.
Yeah I was like "Is anything ever gonna make ya'll happy?" in my mind reading chat.
I think people like me dislike the pale garden because of how unfinished it looks, it’s super bland, basically a retextured roofed forest, and in my opinion a bit of an eyesore
They should’ve made the leaves white, and hopefully they only showed a super unfinished biome because that was NOT it, not to mention the useless block that will only spawn hostile monsters when placed? Like what’s the point of that
Yeah, it is unfinished, that's why it's not releasing until later.
I'm not being negative about new features.
The abandoned village idea is a big brain one!! That would make it easy to implement and also fit the vibe so well.

I’m wondering when we are actually going to get a good update that focuses on parts of the game that actually needs updating.
Same
Like what? Enchanting or something?
Oh right.
They'll eventually find a way to use it
maybe we could build with the directional particles!
Wait till people realize... they're going to add more overtime 😐
Of course they will. But this _should have been made clear_ in the live. Even a statement as simple as "we have more that we wont be showing today" would have tided the fans over. The entire issue with this Live is that they showed so little over so much time.

Generally feel like this years event was just an attempt to counteract the negative response of the upcoming movie

I like that oak has dark oak and now pale oak. I think it’s fitting the trees look like dark oak as nice as it is to have new tree shapes this seems like the most satisfying direction to go in
GOODMORNING
Yoo
HEY
Im excited to build in the pale garden , peace and quiet
Am I the only one that doesn’t like the Creaking? It seems very non-threatening from the footage. The mob looks like it’ll be more annoying than scary or intimidating.
agree 100%
While I personally love the idea, I see why people wouldnt. I think maybe in first person perspective its scarier, though the biome _really_ needs work to accomodate the horror aura
Well that's because they didn't show the first person pov that much. But they spawn only when your not looking, idk about you but that seems scary
Darn the pale wood goes good with the warped wood
Most mods with mobs drop useless shit. So what's your point?
Give it some time, they will probably give a use to the heart. What's shown in the live isn't everything we will get
@@fldom4610 You guys say this every update cycle and content usually ends up being underwhelming regardless.
Update is announced -> People complain that it's bad -> "Don't complain! It's unfinished! Muh free updates!" -> Feature releases poorly as expected -> Feature is forgotten -> Repeat cycle
@@EmperorPenguin1217 your the same guy that though 1.21 sucked, yet you still didnt provide a reason for that. And yes, mojang has changed since 1.20 (pretty much every update after 1.20 was very good).
I like that you can silk touch the creaking heart and it retains its effect. I thought it'd be funny to take a skulk shrieker and put it in a friend's base as a prank, but only naturally generated shriekers work. But now with the creaking heart you can do essentially the same, so that's cool.
Didn’t I tell you wattles
Thank you for giving such a thorough recap of the live!!! Being down in Savannah, Georgia, dealing with the tropical storm Helene aftermath had been a haste and I was so upset I missed the live yesterday… but this was Great!! I’m so excited for the update!!! XD
Mojang should be held to a higher standard, this is a billion dollar company we're talking about and its sad people are ignorant enough to think otherwise.
Dude it's just a drop, ofc the first drop would seem small and that's because you didn't see the rest
you get free updates every year and still complain for more 😑
@@GamesPlatform. free updates are the standard buddy, keep on coping.
@@fldom4610 this is a literal biome reskin with a unoriginal idea of a mob in it that as far as we know serves no purpose to the game
@@GamesPlatform. free updates are the standard you dunce
I’m excited for the bundles the creaking just needs more damage and maybe some more items in the biome
Wattles, I know you said that the creaking will follow you indefinitely, but I’m pretty sure in the Minecraft live it said that if you leave pale garden they won’t follow you too far because they stick near the hearts, btw great vid! 👍🏼
There should be Pale Caves, that are filled with roots and stuff
5:06 our waddles is a flat earther?!?!?!?! 😱😱😱
Creaking is going to become our base guard at night. You forgot to say that.
If they used Herobrine instead of The Creaking, I’d give this updates SSS+, but it’s still a very cool mob.
In the opening, did Wattles just say "sit back and tap dat"??
Good sir, this is a family channel!
I really hope they add more to the Pale Garden, there's so much potential here
As you said, an abandoned village would be amazing and very fitting, like the forest once was a regular biome but got corrupted to the point not even hostile mobs can spawn and only the trees could thrive and evolve to the point of making themselves puppets in the form of the creakings
White pumpkins, new flowers and fog (And potentially some rework to the trees to make them more distinct from the dark oak trees) are a MUST for this biome, I also saw on reddit someone suggesting they should desaturate the brown on the dirt blocks and I agree, they kinda ruin the look of the ground
I would also love them to make the creaking more menacing, like the concept and design are already awesome, make them deal a bit more damage, maybe something like the more you have on your back the faster and deadlier they are, and please, I'm begging, once you start breaking the heart they should start to like freak out and reach out to you in order to stop you from taking the heart, with some Enderman-like screaming sound
I like the idea of an eery empty grey biome, but it'd be a lot more eery if it was the only empty biome. The other biomes need more stuff in them, so the emptiness of this biome can be felt.
