    Is there difference between pbidesktop for report creation and pbi report in pbi service.Are there any limitations using in
    Pbi service for report creation?Thank you for your response.

      Yes
      They are different client tools
      pbidesktop for report server has only a subset of features and in comparison would be 2 to 3 versions before the corresponding one for PBIService
      Each should be used only for corresponding development i.e based on where you want reports to be hosted
      If on premise, use pbi for rs
      If service, use pbi for service

      Yes
      Its possible through XMLA endpoint
      You can connect to Power BI backend model through XMLA endpoint and do read as well refreshing/processing the cube for data addition
