I'm 32 years old and only started learning to drive last year. Put it off for ages due to extreme anxiety around driving. Anyone who is in a similar situation, believe me - it gets easier. Every time you drive you will feel less nervous than last time. You are learning a skill, it takes practice. It will never be as terrifying as the first time. And it's worth it.
Thank you for sharing this! I’m 31 and learning this year so I can change to a better career. I’ve put it off for so long, because it’s terrifying. But knowing someone in a similar position is able to do it makes me feel so much better. ❤
i’m 19 and REALLY want to drive but I have a lot of anxiety around it. this is such a nice way yo be reassured and get to view calm, casual driving from the driver’s perspective. thank you!
It was literally my first day as a new driver today.. I was anxious that even when I got home I am still nervous until I go here in YT to find some advice. Thank you for this!
I can’t explain how much calmer this made me feel!! Thank you so much, Jacqueline, for these videos. I’m starting driver’s ed next week, and now I feel like my demeanor is much more calm. Realizing that I am in control, and to not let others on the road taunt me makes me feel sooo much better!! I can’t wait to start my drives, and I’ll update when I start driving. :)
You know what, I don't just feel a little better, I feel at ease and relaxed watching you making it easy to drive, I also feel very confident. These are perfect tips for a new driver. I'm one of those people who felt terrible slowing down traffic behind me, especially if a frustrated driver honked at me because they wanted to speed by breaking the speed limit. Now I know what to do. I really enjoyed this. Thank you ma'am. God bless you
Great tips! I'm driving for about a year now and I would still say I don't feel confident driving. I thought I should feel like a "pro" by now but I was wrong. I'm still nervous about my judgement, turning, driving in unfamiliar places etc. Anybody else feel the same way even though you're driving for quite a while now?
Oh gosh, so it might take me a year as well?🤔 Anyway....I've only been driving for 3weeks and I'm a nervous wreck everytime. I have no confidence and don't even know if I'm doing the right thing on the roads, hate this feeling, I wish it could go away.
I wish I had you to help me in real life to refresh my driver's lessons (it's been a while since I've been behind the wheel). Pray that I start driving again and find someone to reteach me.
Thank you for making a video on "Anxiety" because, this did come to mind, that, we should mainly be concerned about our own driving - This video's thumbnail is missing "To" for "How To"
I binge watch these videos at night and learn to drive for 1-2 hours each day after work. Videos are definitely helpful, I don't think I would have ever had the guts to get behind the wheel of a car without watching loads of videos first as much as my dad is a great teacher it's nice to also get advice from professionals like you :')
I'm on day 3 of teaching my newly permitted teen daugher to drive on a standard transmission. I love your videos! They are informative, calming, and encouraging, and I have been implementing your tips in my teaching her. Thank you so much!! You are a gem 💖
What an adorable town you're driving through! I have always been an anxious driver and regularly have to drive on the highway to go to and from work. Lately, I have noticed how high my heart rate gets when I get to work. It may not be entirely from driving, but I don't think all the traffic helps. Your videos have made me feel better when it comes to driving and help me to stay calm.
I am about to take my second driving class here in the US. I had a not-so-good experience for my first one. Thank you for putting up drivers ed videos that have beginning drivers in mind. I feel more confident and safe whenever I watch your videos and hopefully that confidence will be translated to my upcoming driving class. More power to you Ms. Jacqueline and to everyone who make zutobi drivers ed here in youtube possible.
Jacqueline, thanks for this video… i’ve been looking for this since I passed my test because I always feel pressured by the car behind me. Now I am confident as long as I am following the rules. Cheers
You are amazing and you know what I am thinking exactly. I just started learning driving last month. After watching your video, I feel better and more assured. Thank you so much:)
I'm from Ukraine, I don't know English very well, but your pronunciation is very clear and understandable. I am also learning to drive. Thank you very much for this helpful video! I subscribed to your channel)🫶🏻

Thank you so much for sharing these videos. They are very helpful and is making my understanding about driving so much better without even being on the road yet. Thanks again!
Really great tips!! I watched this video a few days before my driving test, and I passed! Your advice was incredibly helpful and highly recommend this to anyone preparing for their test! You got this I promise!!!💓
It's completely natural to feel a bit nervous about driving on your own for the first time, but it sounds like you're well-prepared. Remember, everyone was a new driver at some point. Trust in your training and take your time. Make sure to keep a calm and focused mindset, and don't hesitate to pull over safely if you need a moment. You've got this, and soon, driving on your own will feel like second nature. Safe travels on your journey tomorrow morning! 🌅🚗💪
I’m a new driver The only thing that is scary is yielding correctly to cars I passed my test today first try. All thanks to you, maybe you could make a video on how to yield properly
Before I joined the army, I never had a car or a license or anybody to teach me step by step on how to drive on the empty or busy road. The first vehicle I have driven was a tank. When i got out doing my time in the service, I saved up my money to buy a car, and I started to learn how to drive, but I ended up feeling nervous, anxiety and have these panic attacks. When I was driving on a busy road, a delivery truck was getting too close to me, and the car ahead of me was slowing down because there were people in the middle of the road so I end up slowing down and the delivery truck ends up honking at me and ever since that moment happen I have this fear of not wanting to drive anymore. I need some advice.
Jacqueline is so nice and comforting I want to become friends ❤️ but thank you for all the videos they are super helpful, I have a test in two weeks so I’m mentally preparing myself
I cant see the curbs when in parking lots and always graze them when turning. Is there a way to jusge their location? Im really short so gauging distance is hard for me.
Maybe you guys can tell me what the heck is going on with the way people drive now, the few things I'm going to mention were not happening back in the day. Are they teaching you to drive like this now, my issues are pulling up to the line at a red light, pulling up to the car ahead of you at a red light and the other issue is turning right on red. I'm telling you this drives me nuts, it makes you look like an idiot. Every day when I drive to work and back these things happen every day. This morning coming to work I stop at a red light right behind the car in front of me, in the lane next to me a car stopped behind the car in front of him but sitting at least 2 car lengths back, it's like they see the light turn red and stop right where they are at and just sit there with enough room for 2 more cars in that space. Then when I stopped at the last red light right before I get to my job a SUV was at least 3 car lengths back from the car in front of him, he was so far back that people wanting to turn left could not get in that turn lane because he was sitting right there where you get in that lane, the car behind him had its left turn signal on and when the left arrow came on at the light this person was not able to turn because of the SUV. Then you have drivers who stop at a light with nothing in front of them but again stop way behind the line, when I say way behind the line it's like an entire car length, some again are so far back that a few more cars can fit in that space, what is going on. Then turning right on red, just freaking turn, either you are clueless or just doing it on purpose to make people mad. Please explain these issues are you one of these people, you do not have to sit 20, 30 feet behind the car in front of you at a red light, freaking pull up to just a few feet back from the car ahead of you, it will be ok I promise.
Not to demean but in india, they would just hit and literally try to push u with their vehicles .another reason to be scared of and nothing can be done about it. Love your videos though!🙂
I don't think most need to fret about driving and tests. The regulations on driving are hard to interpret, when you get pulled over by pc plod that drives on a pavement and proceeds to rape you or you die in a pig pen you are unlikely to even see them serve time due as they tend to have some lame excuse why they killed a black man or pulled over a 14 year old and asked what was in an unopened tin of peanuts or even how so many die in pig sites. And so few get convicted of crimes behind the badge..

Is it me or at 14:28 the guy in the car took a photo of her? Possibly could also be about her camera set up inside her car 🤔🤷
lol I was just about to comment that he most definitely did snap a shot but I'm pretty sure it was bc of the camera on her window haha
I am glade I found you I feel nervous when I drive I take deep breath 😮 in and out and stay focused on the roads.
Thanks a lot Zutobi for these videos. I passed my road test yesterday. Keep it up on guiding drivers. God bless!
