The production Routemasters were by AEC / Park Royal the short RM's had from new had the AV 590 or Leyland 0.600 Diesel Engine. The RML, RMC,RCL, RMA, all had AEC'S AV 590.
Sam, I was curious to know - when did you buy this particular model ?? 2022 ?? IIRC, it was the 2nd release that Sun-Star ever did, of the London Routemaster I managed (eventually), to buy TWO of these, this particular livery, as I think it's the best. Cost me around £120.00, for although other liveries were around, this one was discontinued. I found it interesting that you quoted source as "Hattons", as I used to use them a lot Are you in India & is that where you had this model shipped over to ?? Laslty, next time you make a video, try NOT to have that nasty thumping "bass sound" from your neighbours music, as it came across really strong in my headphones & found it to be an annoying & unwarranted distraction !!!!
Hi Hawny, Thank you so much for your valuable comment regarding bass sound, surely I will take care of this. I got this model from Hattons and ordered on 6th June, 2022. I am a regular customer of Hattons from India. This model never came to Indian market, although Sunstar is widely available here, so I decided to collect this. This livery is really best. Again thanks a lot for your comment.

You see, I bought mine (then another), waaay back in summer 2006, SIXTEEN YEARS EARLIER ! Even back then, it was expensive & this particular release was "rare" by comparison I liked it SO much, that I bought another & BTW, I also use Hattons myself. As you bought yours in 2022, it was obviously a good quality 2nd-hand item I'll imagine that, along with postage to India, it probably cost you a fortune ??? BTW Sam, which City in India is your nearest one ??? I've got about twelve Sun Star Routemasters all in all, but I was selective with liveries There were a few that I didn't buy, like "Shillibeer" & "Vernons" & the sight-seeing bus As a London guy, I used them (rides) during their heyday, so, they mean a lot to me, historically Lastly Sam - Please, please DO look after that one you have, due to it's rarity You don't often see THAT release//version come up too often Besides, whilst "everyone's different", It's my favourite livery of them all - Truthfully My faves ARE this one that you have (2nd release) & also "The Lock Tavern"
@@hawnyfox3411 Cheers Hawny It gives me immense pleasure to hear from you that you are also a fan of these mighty routemasters.....I am from Calcutta, and here once these same buses were used to operate, as you know that we have same side driving rule like you....i.e.right hand drive....but now these buses are not in service here, all replaced by scania, volvo and mercedes benz citaro. This is absolutely amazing and just as I remember it as a little child taking these buses in the mid-late 90’s wow
