      @@scalemodelingltd thanks! I used to work with these buses between 1986 and 1993 and have just finished detailing one (1:1 scale) in a heritage livery, so I know them very well indeed. Your detailing is truly superb and the end result looks so much better, inside and out, for your neat work to avoid screw heads.

    The original kit comes with some awful clunky body rivets, (as seen elsewhere), that let the model down. Your attention to detail with replacement rivets sets the model off 100%, amazing work.

    • @scalemodelingltd
      @scalemodelingltd  2 года назад

      Yeah it comes with red screws that hold all the body panels on, which completely ruin the look of the model. Thank you very much.

    12 kilo finished wow that's done model I bought one off the Internet ready built i paid £75 for it bargain of the year so far but its a nice huge model and I bet they took some building I didn't want to wait 3 years for all the parts as I would have lost interest plus at £1200 they're a expensive chunk of metal as you would never get your money back!!!

    • @scalemodelingltd
      @scalemodelingltd  2 года назад

      Thanks, yeah its a nice big model and it's a big expense, not so much involved with partworks any more because of that, sticking with plastic and wooden kits from now on.

    • @scalemodelingltd
      @scalemodelingltd  3 года назад

      Thank you. The body panels were glued on with industrial strength super glue which gave a very strong bond. The strips were evergreen plasticard with the rivets put in individually with a drawing pin.

    Please could you tell me what size track pins you used from hornby as there is different types and what colouring you used for the flooring please.

    • @scalemodelingltd
      @scalemodelingltd  2 года назад +1

      The track pins are the hornby flat top type but I also put them in a dremel and ground them down as small as possible, then sanded them to give the polished shiny look. The floors were all drybrushed with different colours of Vallejo acrylics. Various shades of brown plus black and white. Hope this is of help.

    • @scalemodelingltd

      It doesn't have a wireless remote, but all the lights, sounds and blind are wired to an external control box so I dont have to poke my fingers around the insides feeling for all the buttons.

    Love the motorised blind how did you do that?!

    • @scalemodelingltd
      @scalemodelingltd  3 года назад +2

      Thank you. It was a servo from an R/C helicopter modified internally. I then found a servo horn to fit, modified that then glued this to one of the driven gears of the blind. Then made up a separate control box for the electronics and for the rest of the wiring of the bus.
