I got a insane project Guys and i know you are good I like all of you video's and you Guys ask all the time challenge you Guys Wel here it is The ornate helmet of Ferdinand Hapsburg II, the Holy Roman Emperor. 16th century AD.
Was about to post that a Beskar spear would suit this perfectly. Twin hand axes would look great as well, something like a tomahawk with a skull splitter spike on the back side.
A darksaber, with the blade being made from a san mai, with a super bright shiny core, super black with thin random silvery lines clad on the outside, and some epic Ilya engraving on the handle... I could go for that.
I think I must still be young at heart, the dumb little trick of having something done in an instance like all the little cuts just makes me smile and chuckle every time. Is it just me?
Mandalorian armor often has a backplate, so having something back there is where I'd go before working down to any kind of leg armor or sabatons. As for a weapon to pair with all this, I'd say a falchion or some form of heavy bladed polearm, perhaps a medieval-styled take on the Munit'kad halberd.
In a campaign of the Star Wars tabletop RPG, I played a mandalorian character who recovered a heavy maul ax of beskar from a pirate's vault that had been forged in the mandalorian capital city decades before the time of the campaign. I think that a heavy fighting ax with some mandalorian inspiration and motifs would be a cool project to make a weapon that's your own, instead of merely imitating the spear or the darksaber or another commonly depicted weapon from the shows. Thanks for this collab! I love watching and studying armor making techniques from Slava
Beautiful work! Perfect example of the old myth that knights couldn't stand up if they'd been knocked down proven wrong. There was an old video of guys climbing ladders, tumbling, and running full tilt in full plate armor made to medieval specs, this suit rivals the best "authentic" suits made. Slava is a proper master armorsmith, what Ilya can do with blades, he can match with armor.
"Beskar" Darksaber, with blackened damascus blade, and 2-tone silver-gold hilt. That'd be my pick. The Spear is also a clear choice. For something a bit different, a round shield that is blued to evoke the look of the energy shield some Mandalorians used would be cool as well. As for the jetpack comment, Hussar wings maybe?
I have, but I also compliment it when it is just SO well done. Things have been just so perfect lately I have to balance the scales by saying how good it is.
Holy crap, the mobility demo at the end there! As with the first two parts of this series, the magic trick edits are freaking fantastic, but that mobility in the finished pieces is just WOW!! 😳
@ThatWorks, you need to make the sword and spear combo to pair with it. Not only is it cannon, but it would also be historical. Spears were the king of the battlefield, and any warrior would have a good one, the sword would be a good side arm, and also a symbol of prestige.
The suit looks really similar to some of the Old Republic era Mandalorian Crusader armors, I love it! I highly suggest pairing it with a Darksaber-inspired sword, it'd look awesome!
quelle armure magnifique! étonnamment il n'est jamais fait mention des forgerons dans l'univers de star wars! une chose est certaine: vous êtes les forgerons ou les ancêtres des forgerons de star wars à n'en pas douter
Now that was a surprise twist! He went to hand snap the sheet metal and it didn’t move so he had to do it the old fashioned way and cut it out with the angle grinder. Very clever Slava!
This absolutely needs to be a vull complete kit, ner'vad. Arms, legs, feet, hands, back. Make Mandalore proud! Also, a good weapon would be a mandalorian beskar sword. HI from a forever unofficial member of the Mando Mercs, I am A'den Catra.
So for a weapon to go with the Mandalorian armor there is a quite a few to go with, for swords there is the Mandalorian Beskad which is a single handed sword, for spears there is the Bevii’ragir which is a traditional hunting spear of Mandalore, if you want a knife there is the Kal which is basically just a knife, if you want to do an axe or halberd there is the Munit’kad halberd which is a Mandalorian vibro-axe and the Mythosaur axe which Is said to have been wielded by Mandalore The Indomitable, and if you want something more musical there is the Bes’bev which is a Mandalorian flute traditionally made of beskar and designed to be a stabbing and bashing weapon as well.
definitely would love to see more of this! needs the bracers, some leg armour and the back plate. for a weapon, definitely need either the Darksaber or the Beskar spear!
I mean, we have to see how the rest of the suit turns out! I think the Beskar spear is a must, and a falchion or Großmesser for the darksaber. Maybe a ladder Damascus rondel dagger for the vibroblade?
Now we are talking! I’m pretty much on the same page with you although, I think a crossbow would be awesome! Maybe a team up opportunity with Todd Stuff.
For future I would like to see the backplate (attachment points for jet pack), bracers, and maybe a "dark sabre" sword (coffee blacked with bright steel edge?)
Obviously the armor should be paired with a beskad and kal, the traditional Mandalorian saber + dagger combo. And personally, I think gauntlets should be the next piece of armor, and maybe the rest of the arms as well if making the individually articulated fingers isn't too much work for one video.
I would really like to see this medieval Mandalorian armor completed, as in with greaves, sabatons armlets and gauntlets forged. As for weapon, just to keep with the mandalorian theme, a medieval version of the Darksaber would be awesome to see.
Definitely need to complete arms and legs. Weapons, I’d say a “Dark Saber”, though I think a falcata would probably be the direction i personally would go with that.
I'd love to see this series continue. Also, if guys are thinking a of a weapon to pair with this armour I'd recommend a two handed weapon since the mandelorines pride themselves on their armour then they probably would show it off by using weapons that best benefit from it
Definitely the backplate for armor and I've seen people say that Mandalorians used axes so that would be neat. Of course you could always turn the Darksaber into an actual saber.
Great work. Next you should make gloves or armguard. Maybe after the armorset is done you could make the beskar spear or a medival style darksaber to complete the set.
For you guys to make a weapon, how about a repeating crossbow? That is something both medieval and futuristic. It would fit well with this Mandalorian themed build, I think. :)
A really cool looking weapon you could do to go with this is a sword mandalorians used called the Beskad, it has a sort of Greek look to it as well so would match well with the armor and isn't as well known as the dark saber or as simple of a design as the Beskar spear we see in the mandalorian. And because it's not as well known or shown visually often you have lots of creative liberty for making it as cool as you want :D
@@ThatWorks if I had to pick just one I'd go with the Beskad sword as the others have both been seen before on RUclips so the Beskad sword would be a unique build
It would be cool to see the entire suit built out - including some ornamentation to suggest the tools built into the bracers and backplate. As for weapons: the beskar spear and the Darksaber, natch.
