    NOTE: The 3,000 psi 1:2:4 cement-sand-gravel mix ratio can be achieved with proper proportioning of the mixture and gradation of sand and aggregate. Also, the cement-water ratio and proper curing should be followed.
    For manual batching where quality control is not observed, it is advised to use 1:1.5: 3 to 1:2:3 mixture to achieved 3,000 psi concrete.

      density of cement = 1440kg/cu.
      1 bag cement = 40kg
      1440/40 = 36
      36/4 = 9 bgs

    Boss, hindi 1:2:4 ang 3000psi kundi 1:1.5:3 kasi ang 1:2:4 ay M15 yan 2175 psi lang yan. Ngayon para makuha mo ang dami ng cement sa simple na mamaraan e multiply mo lang ang Volume sa 36 divide mo sa gravel mix. Yang 1:2:4 kung yan ang gagamitin mo sa (1m3 x 36 )/4 = 9bags kana kulang kana ng isa. Pag ganyan kasi ang pamamaraan mo kahit sa 2175 psi hindi sya aabot as per my experience. But ayos itong mga vlog mo nakaka pag bigay ka ng idea. God bless

      Natest na namin yan.. basta me quality control at tama ang water-cement ratio maaatain mo yung 3000 psi.. pero king mano mano, 1:2:3 mixture.

    sir matagal ko na yan kinumpara ang formula na yan pati ng formula ng ginagamit ng ibang engineer dito sa atin magkaiba talaga ang resulta tulad halimbawa sa bag of cement.Ang ratio na 1:2:4 sa computation mo is 8 bags of cement sa ibng formula ang 1:2:4 ay 9 bags ho yan kc ang ibng formula is
    no.of cement= vol.of concrete x 36/4
    = 1 cu.m x 9 bags/ cu.m
    = 9 bags

      I'm not sure how the 9 cement bags/cu.m. was derived. My figures were supported with 2 computations. You can only verify that by actual mixing with properly graded sand and gravel.

      @@harleyasimpledesigns2806 sir the number of bags per cu.m is 36 bags so if you are using the 1:2:4 mux you have to use this formula.
      cement=volume of concrete (36/4)
      = 1cu.m (9 bags/cu.m)
      = 9. bags

    Sir yung ginamit sa column and footings namin is hindi sya crushed. Kumbaga normal gravel lang sya. Wala po bang problema doon? Sinasabi po kasi ng iba na dapat daw crushed iyon pag hindi daw guguho daw po. Salamat po sa video nyo

      Around 3500 psi l, pero dapat consistent ang timpla at tama ang water cement ratio. Since mano mano amg mixing, assume na.langbna 3000 psi ang 1:2:3.

    hi sir, dun sa nabanggit mo na air void ng sand na 27% at gravel na 34%, hindi ba dapat di na sila iadd kasi yung dry volume na yun is yung required mix volume. so pag minix mo sand sa gravel maffill up na ng sand yung ibang void ng gravel so dapat di sila iadd kasi mababawasan pa nga dapat yung air void ng mix for 1 cu.m. diba malaki masyado yung 61% na void para sa 1 cu.m na sand-gravel mix?

      70L? ang liit nyan boss. d kasya yung 1:2:3 dyan.
      at least 250L capacity kelangan mo if 1 bag per batch gusto mo.
      sa 70L eh 1/4 bag per batch ka nalang.

    boss ang ginagamit kupo ganito yong kahon po ang sukat ng kahon .3048x.3048x.3048=.028×3=•085 ang gravel at ang sand po naman ay .3048x.3048x.3048=.0566 sand sa isang bag na cemento tamo po bayon pakisagot lang po salamat

      Based on Max Fajardo book:
      1:2:4 concrete mixture ----- 9 (40kg) cement , 0.50 cu m. sand at 1 cu.m gravel. In which the book didn't state that it's equivalent to 1 cu.m. dry volume of concrete.
      Based on the sample problems in the book, the actual concrete volumes (wet volumes, concrete is composed of cement, sand gravel and water) were just multiplied by the constant/multiplier of that mixture. I didn't find any dry volume in Max Fajardos book. Maybe the dry volume factor was already included in the multiplier.
      If you are in construction, try to verify the ratio and test it.

      1:2:3. 200mm thick slab w/ 16mm top and bottom bars at 200mm o.c. , 12mm top and bottom temp bars at 12mm o.c.

      Minimum concrete strength is 3000 psi. Kung manual mixing ay 1:2:3 with 1: 0.50 to 0..55 cement water ratio, Pwedeng 1:2:4 kung me quality control. We usually specity compressive stength of concrete and not the class,.

    Hi! Hindi ba 2175 psi lang ang 1:2:4 concrete mix ratio? So pag ito yung ginamit na ratio, underdesigned na yung structure na gagawin lalo kung kailangan 3000 psi talaga?

      Kung me quality control, pwede mong maachieve ang 3000 psi conc. strenght. Nakapag compressive test na kami nyan. Pero for safety at lalo na pag mano mano, 1:2:3 ang gamitin mo lalo na't hindi nasusunod ang water-cement ratio.

Yung wet volume nga pala, yun yung volume na may tubig na. O kaya naman ay yung volume nung pagbubuhusan ng concrete (kaya naging equivalent sa "actual volume"). Sabi mo kasi sa 3:51, yun yung wala pang halong tubig.

      Napanood ko po ng buo kaso triny ko mag compute n2kg cement, 4kg sand, 7kg gravel nakuha ko sa isang cylinder. Hindi ko alam tama ba to sir.

      @@zorojuro-- Dalawang method ang pagcompute sa concrete mix. Ito ay by volume and by weight. Ginamit sa video ay by volume. download mo yung excel formula, input mo lang yung cylinder volume then ibibigay sayo yung volume cement, sand ang gravel. timbangin mo yung volume for each components.
