Tim Blake Nelson is one of the most underrated actors. He absolutely disappears in roles. He was a God in the Ballad of Buster Scruggs as Buster Scruggs a.k.a. the San Saba Songbird. Quotes like, “Don't let my white duds and pleasant demeanor fool ya. I, too, have been known to violate the statutes of man... and not a few of the laws of the Almighty!” 😆

This is actually the first interview I have seen with him, and his manner of speech isn't anything like I imagined, obviously because I was prejudiced in my expectations because of his O' Brother role. It's crazy to hear Tim say that he almost turned down the role of Delmar in O' Brother because he thought his performance might not hold up.... Good thing he said yes to that role because I can't see anyone else doing it as well as him. He totally killed it! So did Clooney AND so did John Turturro. All three were totally perfect in their roles and none could be replaced without tarnishing that gem of a film!!!
