    Not every day you search for a video on how to adjust your suspension and you see yourself with Dave Moss 🤣🤣.
    Next time I need to put a damn hat on, my helmet head looks awful.

    Could you find the time to look at the Harley Davidson Pan America and how you would address the electronic suspension or adaptive ride height settings?

      @catalystreactionsbw  2 года назад

      I could yes. Working with some Harley Dealers to take a look a what bikes they have that provide adjustable suspension.

    I'm curious if you would do one on the gs/gsa, as it is a bigger seller, and needs all the help it can get.

    I love my 990 but dialing in the suspension can be an absolute nightmare. I thought I had set it up for my weight but just doesn't feel right.

      Start with knowing how much fork and shock travel you are using visually. Cable tie on the right fork leg and just a tiny bit of grease on the shock shaft. That will be a simple and easy visual which will immediately guide you to the first change you need. Ideal fork is 15-20mm from the bottom of the tube, shock at 3-4mm from the rubber bumper

      Okay so after about an hour fiddling with all the different screws and actually finding the original manual I think I've got it dialed in just right ! Just underneath the front forks is the dumping or rebound settings I screwed them all the way clockwise and then turn them 3 clicks back the same with the rear shock. Went out for 5 minute ride over some pretty awful Terrain and the suspension didn't bottom out like before ! Definitely a new experience for me rebuilding engines and electrical systems no problem but suspension that was a another learning curve. I'm actually located in Peru and finding a really good mechanic here is very difficult. Not like in England where I can just pop down the road. If you ever find yourself in the Peruvian mountains buddy come for a ride

      @@shulme89 I hope I can make it to Peru to visit some ancient human sites as well as ride in your incredible Country. Thank you for taking the time to learn about your motorcycle and taking tools to the suspension to find and enjoy different settings. A tip of the hat to you sir!

      you 'could' change spring ratings and fork oil thickness/amounts etc - if you really need to do some adjustment/tuning i assume.
