Thank you for the lovely trip down memory lane!! ☺️ All of your pieces are lovely Suzette! That afghan!!!!!! Oh my gosh!!! What a lot of stitching!! A grandbaby will get to enjoy that someday I’m sure!! 💕
Wow! Suzette-this afghan is a true family heirloom! It's fabulous! Nice collection of Noah's Ark's patterns and stitching. Thanks for sharing. Happy stitching! Pam in Alabama
That afghan is beautiful! What a treasure! I have so many of those patterns in my stash...many of them I stitched long ago. I love your Throwback Thursday...it's wonderful to see the great pieces you've stitched. Happy stitching!
Wow, wow, wow!! The blanket is awesome and such an heirloom! And the 10 count fabric piece that you showed was beautiful. It makes me want to stitch a large project. Your stitching is superb! Thank you so much for sharing!
Absolutely beautiful pieces! Especially the blanket, know you look forward to rocking a grand in it. I stitched several Noah samplers but have collected enough ornaments over the years that I have one Christmas 🌲 of Noah and have several hand carved ones I cherish.
Loved seeing you Noah stitches. I saw a couple of patterns I don't own and had to search them out as Noah is one of my favorite things to stitch for new babies. Thanks!
I love the idea of TBT! I used to collect Noah's Ark things and stitched several of the charts you showed. Your afghan is amazing! Looking forward to more segments like this.
Love the stitching! My youngest, born in 1995, had a Noah’s ark theme nursery as well! His middle name is Noah. I stitched the alma Lynne designs as well!
Love love love seeing your completed Noah’s Ark blanket! I have had the book, fabric and floss in my stash for many years. I even have the poster for the blanket, my old LNS gave it to me when they no longer needed it. Someday!
Thanks for visiting and for your sweet comments! Stitching that afghan was definitely a labor of love. No time like the present Lol! Happy stitching, Suzette x
I have Noah & Crew, just could not resist the whimsy! Maybe someday I will stitch it for myself, since I have no plans of having offspring. :-) Thanks for sharing your awesome collection, so much work and love went into it.
While you were stitching Curtis Boehringer's, I was buying his "Pie" quilt patterns. I pieced and appliqued his "Pumpkin Pie" and it is gorgeous. What I liked about it is it has the actual recipe for pumpkin pie that is embroidered. I also have the Apple Pie and the Cherry Pie patterns. They are unusual but so pretty. I like your throwback videos.
Ah, the early 90's and Noah's ark! I had some of that stuff for my son's room, too. My sister stitched that Fanci That one, and I thought it was so cute. Thanks for sharing all of your cute projects! :) - T
Girl the 90's were fabulous!! I was a stay at home mom and stitched the day away...okay, maybe not so much. I stitched while the little stinkers were sleeping! It was fun going down memory lane and sharing it with everyone. Stay tuned, Beatrix Potter may be coming down the lane in the near future. Thanks for stopping by again and for always leaving such sweet comments! As always, you rock girl! Suzette x
What a lovely trip down memory lane. Oh my word, that afghan is just amazing..what a treasure! I am still storing all of the pieces I stitched for my boys rooms for the future grands. Thanks for sharing. -Anne
I stitched Alma's Noah Collector piece for my son; I had that Noah & Friends book but passed it onto Garrett last year... and now on seeing your piece I miss it! You'll be able to stitch the same theme for his children hopefully.
Loved seeing all the Noah's ark pieces and that afghan is amazing!! I did a Noah's ark piece for my godson as a birth sampler - something timeless about them :) Can't wait to see your next throwback Thursday share :)
Suzette, That really was a throwback Thursday!!! I have to tell you that I was a Noah's Ark collector back in the day. I think I have every chart that you showed. Even stitched many of the same pieces!! I started the afghan too, but unlike you I don't think I finished it. A great collection:))
Thanks for visiting Joan!! That thing was definitely a labor of love to get completed! Not sure that I would ever take on a project that large again! Well, not an afghan anyway..the fabric was NOT my favorite to stitch with! It's what was available back in the day and is probably still the same now days. Happy stitching, Suzette x
I loved this segment. It's too bad you didn't get around to the cute three x three chart. Too sweet. There really never is enough stitching time, is there? Thank you so much for sharing. Until next time, Stitch on!
What great video! My grandson's room was decorated with Noah's Ark. I did the Fanci That one and made it into birth sampler. Your pieces are so lovely Thanks for your memories. I did some others and made alot of ornaments.
Suzette I loved this! The afghan is stunning and each piece has such love stitched into it that I know you can’t wait to maybe pass them on to a grand Baby! Blessings, Marlene
Thanks for visiting again Marlene and for your always sweet comments! I only have one grand baby and he's 10...I need more grands!!!! Happy stitching, Suzette x
I loved seeing all of your Noah pieces. I love the Noah story too and have stitched a few pieces. One of my favourites is by Words of Praise. I’m also slowly doing the Prairie Schooler Two by Two series as dough bowl fillers. A question...did you put a backing on your afghan and if so how did you do it? I have a Shepherds Bush afghan that I started years ago and want to now finish for my granddaughter. As always, many thanks for your videos, I so enjoy them.
HI Jenny, thanks for stopping by for a visit and for your sweet comments. I didn't put any backing on the afghan. I really struggled with what to do way back then. It's held up very well with no stitching pulled out. I've washed it a handful of times over the years (on the gentle cycle and then air drying it). I'm not sure what you could back a piece that size with..maybe a lightweight fusible interfacing? Happy stitching, Suzette x
I’d love to know what you do with the back of one of those stitched blankets. I was going to put Santa’s Village on one .... but wasn’t sure about the back.
HI Tina, thanks for visiting and commenting! I didn't put anything on the back of my afghan. I have washed it on gentle cycle and air dried it a handful of times with no harm to the stitching. I'm not really sure what others use to back a piece that size...perhaps a lightweight fusible interfacing? Happy stitching, Suzette x
Thanks for visiting and for your kinds comments Karen! No, I didn't put anything on the back of the afghan and it's held up very well. That being said, I've only had to wash it a hand full of times (always on gentle cycle and then put it out to air dry). Happy stitching, Suzette x
Primitive Stitcher Thanks. I'm getting ready to start stitching an afghan and I wondered if I needed to put anything on the back when I'm done, but sounds like I don't.
Wow! What an amazing collection of stitched pieces. Love, love, love the afghan. I look forward to all your videos. Thank you for sharing!
