Advertisement for vacancies in Indian cost Accounting Services has come up in Jan'2022. When is the expected date of exams? Please tell the gap between the advertisement and actual date of exams?
It is difficult to predict the expected date of exam as conducting examination is the sole prerogative of UPSC. Usually it ranges anywhere between 2 to 6 months. However, it may be different due to current Covid scenario.

Hii Harsh sir and Anurag sir my point was why our institutes (ICAI, ICMAI) dose not put pressure on govt. or request Govt. to take out vacancy in this service every year as it is so good for CAs and CMAs careerwise and 2nd Question is as of now in every how many years dose this vacancy comes and 3rd Question is that what is the pay ( starting package) in this service .......
1. Vacancies depend on cadre strength. Since cadre itself is very small as advise is rendered at the apex level, vacancies are published every 2-3 years when they arise. However, cadre restructuring may lead to an increase in cadre strength and thus, vacancies.

3. Pay is same as any other Group A service. Starting basic pay is Rs.56100 plus other allowances viz. DA, HRA, TPTA etc. and perks.
@@harshjoshi7766 hi sir I am having some more question out of curiosity like (1) Is there proper training facility for ICOAS like IAS IPS or it is more of like you pass and immediately get job (2) Is there formal induction program like other service (IAS IPS) and (3) What is the highest position in this service (like u told secretary in video but secretary where?) hope to get a reply..... @@jainkitchen554 1. Upto 2014, training was conducted with all other accounting services recruited through Civil Service Exam at NIFM Faridabad for 44 weeks. For the last batch (2017), induction training was conducted for 2 weeks at ISTM Delhi. So, if we go by the trend for the previous batch, it is more of on the job training since people recruited are already specialised in their field and regular training with other services may not be possible as recruitment is not regular. For our batch, final call on training is yet to be taken.

3. Secretary to the Govt. of India is a rank. The highest cadre post is of Chief Advisor which is a secretary level post. For designation as Secretary, one needs to opt for Central Staffing Scheme as applicable to all Organised Group A Services/All India Services.

Please refer CA and CMA material for the topics stated in the syllabus and focus should be on Cost, FM and GST. Keep yourself aware of recent developments esp. in financial world from exam point of view. All the best!

Harsh sir, I came to know about this service few days back… the last date for application had already passed… as you said that the vacancy comes in every 2-3 years and also it is proposed to increase cadre strength… So will the next vacancy will come after 2-3 years or sooner than that… and also will there be more vacant positions in comparision to last recruitments… waiting for your reply sir

It depends on UPSC. Usually the wait is around 2-6 months.

Where to fine exam date announcement etc,. When it is preposed to conduct exams for recent notifications UPSC 01-2022 and 09-2022.
