nah, ashes to ashes was their best album. Tom's vocals are good but he doesn't have the range that Alex had. They also didn't let Jason write the music he wanted so he left
Jake Schultz agreed. Getting rid of the unnecessary amount of guitar players to all play the same thing and getting Tom in to do vocals was the best decision they’ve ever made.
Jake Schultz oh yeah for sure. I think if they played ALL different parts it wouldn’t have been as bad as it was. And definitely, I think Tom is a far better vocalist. He replicated his album material super well which is something Alex hasn’t been doing well for some years now.
