Hi friends! There are seriously so many ways you can serve these baked chicken breasts. Especially ones loaded with flavor like these! What are your favorites sides? Or how would you serve them? :) xo - Lisa
If I'm juggling several household tasks, I'll make some quinoa and then microwave some frozen vegetables as a side. What's great about this recipe is that it doesn't take a whole lot of time and appears to be really delicious and as you mentioned is great for meal prep. So this is definitely one of those quick recipes I'm going to keep and of course for sides I might try some of the wild rice and spinach that you mentioned. Great recipe and have a great week
1tsp Salt 1tsp Paprika 1\2tsp Garlic powder 1\2 tsp Dried thyme 1\4tsp Black pepper Lightly coat chicken breast with about a Tbs of Olive oil Preheat oven to 425° Cook chicken for 18-25min Flip half way through
FINALLY, a simple chicken breast recipe! All those other channels were like "now sear it in the pan, now put it in the oven, now take it out of the oven, now marinate it overnight, now brush it with this super special glaze that only needs like 23 ingredients"
I want you to know I have tried this recipe and it is the BEST oven baked chicken Ive ever made!! Not all recipes and tips on RUclips can deliver on their promises but this one absolutely can do so. You must follow the instructions explicitly, do it all, and you wont be disappointed. I am 76 yrs young and I have baked a lot of chicken and had given up on baking the non-tough, perfectly seasoned chicken breasts and then I found this lady and her baking tips with recipe. Thank you so very much.
This was one of the best recipes I have followed. My wife called it restaurant quality. I did add a half teaspoon of Adobo and a quarter teaspoon of Sazon.
This was my first time cooking chicken breasts and they came out AMAZING! I always hear my fitness pals talking about how tough and boring it is to eat their chicken breast and veggies while cutting, but this is something I can honestly eat everyday and surprisingly it is so tender and juicy! Thank you!
Hi, I grew up in 80's, everyone cooking and no one teaching. In my 40's, hubby has been cooking everyday since we married, and it's not really his favorite thing. Today I decided to change that. Your my first video to help me on this journey. So thank you. This will be dinner tonight. Hugs, ~*Shana
You’ve changed my world of eating! Having lost 130 lbs 20 years ago (and keeping it off) I’ve become bored with the ‘same old same old’ I’m motivated and cooking even more! Thank you Lisa 💐
Easy Juicy Chicken Breast (my serving size) 1 chicken breast 1/4 tsp paprika 1/4 tsp salt 1/4 tsp dry thyme 1/8 tsp black pepper 1/8 tsp garlic powder olive oil Method Leave chicken breast out for atleast 15 min in room temp. Then pound to make it even. Apply the olive oil on chicken breast and then sprinkle all of the seasonings. Rub well with hands. Preheat oven to 425 F and place chickenin oven safe dish. Bake for 18-25 min. Flip halfway for juicer chicken. Take out at 160F so that it cooks to 165F as it resta outside
Used this rub tonight for 1.3 pounds of thighs. Also, used olive oil to coat both sides as mentioned in the video. Cooked on the stove using a grill pan over medium heat and turned once at about 7 minutes and cooked the other side for another 7 minutes. Highly recommend and look forward to trying other recipes.
Simple, easy and gourmet good! I used leftover boneless, skinless chicken thighs that I already had from last night’s dinner and didn’t want to waste and applied the same exact instructions and it was amazing! Used this recipe to make a quick lunch for myself. One of my pieces was much larger than the others. I took your advice and didn’t let the smaller ones over-cook. I took them out and let the rest cook until done. Turned out perfect as your recipes always do. I normally struggle with over-cooking my food and have learned so much from your fail-safe recipes! Much thanks!
I followed your recipe to its core and for the very first time my chicken was juicy and moist and.not dry and rubbery, plenty of seasoning is a must and flip it half way thru just like you mention and thermometer is game changer thanks so much
I am an inexperienced cook and I tried this recipe today. It's terrific. The chicken is indeed moist and delicious. Thanks so much. A huge help for my cooking needs. -- DH, Los Angeles
Thank you so much 😍🙏 Finally, this is indeed THE BEST method ever to bake juicy tender chicken breasts. Had tried every method, none worked. I used your technique today to bake 2 large sized chicken breasts with the bone seasoned with Italian mixed herbs, little honey, pink salt,1 bouillon chicken cube and olive oil. I baked them for about 25 mins and was amazed at the results; tasty, tender, moist, juicy chicken. I turned them halfway thru as instructed. You are a blessing 🙏😍 Thank you so much once again.
I just did this and my mother and brother loved it. I let the chicken breasts in the fridge in buttermilk a couple of hours before rubbing them with the mix of spices. Also I've put some garlic cloves with their peel in the oven to add more flavour. The result was spectacular. Thank you very much 👍♥️
I made this in under an hour with absolutely no experience and it turned out amazing! I put my own little spin on it and added some Sriracha seasoning and some BBQ sauce and it turned out so good!!!
I tried this recipe tonight instead of cooking the chicken breast in a frying pan bc I was too tired. It came out just right. Moist and flavorful. Thank you much.
When i heard about 25 minutes to bake, I decided to give this recipe a chance, and boy oh boy was it worth it. Very simple yet tasty. Thanks. I'm a new subscriber!
I made this tonight, exactly to the recipe. It was fantastic. Delicious, moist evenly cooked. served with a baked potato, cranberry sauce and brussel sprouts. Happy faces all around the table. Thank you.!
Thank you for including a link to print the recipe! So many YT chefs do not! I usually ignore those. Not this time! I will try this recipe - looks delicious!
Wow, thanks so much Susan! Happy to hear you're enjoying all the content, as well as the recipes 😊 I've got tons more coming your way this year - stay tuned!
My daughter and I absolutely love your recipe and we use it regularly. I've even now made a huge mix of the ingredients, using cups instead of tablespoons, and we keep it in the herbs and spices cupboard, ready to go!
I am a beginner, this recipe was so easy to follow and quick. My husband is a VERY picky eater and he ate this just fine! Thank you so much! This is a life saver!
Made this tonight. To my surprise, this simple dish was really really good! I like a bit of heat so I added a pinch of cayenne. Cooking to the temp of 160 is crucial. The chix was soooo moist. Loved it! Thanks DSO!
Made this last night, best stove cooked chicken I’ve ever made. Props and thank you for this recipe. Chicken was moist, cooked perfectly and seasoned well. So glad oven cooked chicken breast is now an option!!
Hands down the easiest and best recipe. I was always afraid and stood away from cooking chicken because of the fear of undercooked food. My chicken came out so tender and good. It was great for my weeks meal prep. No more dry chicken! 👏
I tried this recipe with two breast halves, at 10 minutes per side, and it turned out delicious. Not dry or rubbery. Thank you for sharing. This will be a regular meal for me.
I seriously make this chicken twice a week since I found your recipe, my family can not get enough of it! We like to pair it with either smashed & roasted new potatoes and asparagus or rice and roasted squash. Thank you so much for sharing this recipe, it has made my life so much easier!
I just made this! I'm a little sick so can't really taste it, but my apartment smells amazing! 😍 Plus, it is so juicy and soft, I made it with turkey breast which always ends up dry. Lisa, thank you! ❤️❤️❤️
OMG.... this is a much needed video!!! So deeply appreciated, can’t even begin to express how badly I was in need of this. Most times my chicken breast turned out slightly tougher than my shoe sole😳
This recipe is one of the easiest and tastiest recipes I’ve ever used for chicken. Over the years, I’ve tried many things, but nothing has tasted this great!!
Thankyou Lisa! This is one of my go to recipes. And because my daughter works long hours, i make a big dish for her once a week - she loves it! I get messages from her! And the best part, it's versatile enough to put whatever herbs & spices i have on hand & it always comes out perfect! Now I've just got to make some winning rice & broccoli to go with ♡♡♡
Great flavor! I combined this with another recipe that stuffs the chicken with a veggie saute in olive oil. I used yellow & red peppers, sweet onion & mushrooms lightly seasoned with the same spices in the rub then stuffed in the chicken when still al denté and baked at 425 for 20-25 minutes. It complimented the chicken well and the spices were delicious on the veggies as well as the chicken.
I’d like to thank you for this! The tips helped improve my personal recipe so much so, my children gave me a round of applause after dinner. I have spent many of nights watching cooking videos so my kids can brag about my cooking when they go see their mom on weekends, I’m sure this will help keep them singing my praises while continuing to make her jealous of my learning in the kitchen. I know that probably comes across as petty but she thought not fighting me for custody wouldn’t be an issue because I’m bad at cleaning the house (outside of the kitchen… I was a cook before becoming a pre-k/kindergarten teacher so I’m pretty picky about how the kitchen is cleaned) and figured after a year or so, the kids would prefer her home cooking over mine. Going on 6-7 years later and it’s only my soon to be sophomore daughter that prefers to spend more time with either of her grandmothers because her little brothers “drive her crazy” (being the only girl in the house, I’m not surprised she gets tired of all the superhero shows and movies and sports we’re into is uninteresting to her. Which didn’t start until she noticed I had no clue of what I was doing when she “became a woman”). Excuse my rant but again, thanks!
Cooked this chicken tonight for my mom. We both enjoyed it so much. I added a little bit of lemon juice before putting it into the oven. Thank you for sharing. It was delicious.
I finally made this with my own bbq rub. But I followed all your instructions and they are by far, the absolute juiciest, most perfectly cooked chicken breasts I've ever made. BAR NONE!! Thank you Lisa ❤
This video was so perfectly detailed but not over the top. Just straight to the point with amazing pointers!! So glad I found this. Thank you so much!!
I just made this tonight and it turned out really great. It's nice to have another option besides just salt and pepper for my baked chicken. Thanks for sharing!
This really was the best chicken I’ve ever made, and it was so juicy too. Thank you! ***Also to note, I seasoned mine with salt/pepper and a rotisserie chicken seasoning mix.
Thank you for this recipe. It turned out great! My chicken was thick so it took me 35 mins (at 425) to get the chicken to reach 160 but it turned out soft and still moist! Maybe I cooked it a few mins too long but am still very happy with the results! I love your videos, BTW.
Hello from Hong-Kong. I cooked these chicken breasts - following the recipe to the letter - today for lunch for my family and it was totally awesome ! My chicken breasts were 7oz each and I needed a few minutes longer (25' in total) to reach the internal 165F temperature. Will do it again. Super simple, super tasty ! Thank you.
Made this for dinner today and it was a hit with the family. Your recipe is simple, quick, and the baked chicken was moist. Thank you for sharing. I will be making your recipe again!!!
Foolproof!! I've made these twice in less than two weeks and love them...and if I can do it, anyone can! Thank you so much for posting...I'm trying the overnight oats and no bake energy balls soon. I'm so glad I stumbled on your RUclips channel!
First Lisa I have a confession to make. I don’t like chicken. However I recognize that it is a healthy protein and my body seems to metabolize it well. And my Father always said “there are only so many things to eat honey”. So I tried this recipe and I was soooo pleased. The chicken comes out tender and very flavorful. And it opened up my creative mind for different spice combinations and sauces. You continue to teach me how to cook effectively. And I so appreciate it. I always come to your site when I want to know how to make something.🦋
I used this recipe 2 nights ago and just remembered I didn't comment!! THANK YOU SOOOO MUCH! This has helped me with meal prepping more than you know❤❤ It was so juicy you guys, make sure to follow it exact!
This taste amazing!! Thank you so much for teaching me how to bake chicken! I have been scared to cook chicken for the longest time, but now that im wanting to loose weight and build muscle, i am looking for meals to prep for the week and enjoy. I have just made this and wow. Amazing flavours, super easy to make, and extremely enjoyable to indulge as a healthy starter. Thank you very very much 🥰
Hi Lisa, I made your baked chicken breast recipe.for my family celebrating my 82nd birthday. They came out absolutely tender and delicious just like you said they would! Yep, I flipped them over 1/2 way through cooking! Thanks for all your great recipes!! Best, Deena
I haven't tried the spices yet. I do my own thing. But this has been the only instructions I have found that taught me how to not dry out chicken breasts. I have tried so many!
It's great to see this video. I actually used your recipe for the pan-seared chicken today and it actually came out great. Adding liquids to the pan for the final bit of cooking is the winner for me. I made gravy from the juices and paired it with roasted veggies and persimmons on the side.
I just found u on Christmas and it was definitely a gift lol I love love love your recipes and will definitely be making alot of what I've seen. U are awesome!
The legend says chickens across the world felt a shiver down their spine when this video was uploaded. The most perceptive chicken even experienced cold sweat although it shouldnt be phisicly possible.
Girl you are on a roll, tried out 3 of your recipes and they are 3 keepers , as I like to say. This was the most simple , absolutely delicious chicken I have ever had. Thank you soooooo much.
Thank you Lisa! This video is so helpful, I just ordered the meat thermometer you recommended because I have never been able to achieve the perfect baked chicken breast. Can’t wait to try this recipe ☺️
That thermometer will be your savior for cooking all sorts of meat! Can't wait for you to make this chicken recipe. Let me know how it turns out Caitlyn 😊
Will do. I do a chicken in crockpot with coarse sea salt pepper paprika onion, h Garlic powder about 2 1/2 cut up and it with a salad i made the dressing and cartoons
❤❤❤❤❤❤ *Flipping it halfway is a real game changer. Just made this today and it was bomb! Didn't know I could make something so tasty. I'm no great cook but this was probably the juiciest chicken I've ever had.*
I used your recipe for a second Christmas for our extended family. (The turkeys were all gone!). I made 10 lbs of chicken breasts and it was a HIT. Thank you.
RUclips MOM! I searched for hard boiled eggs a long time ago and came across your video. On that day, you became my youtube mom. Fast forward, I wanted to grill some chicken so I searched again on RUclips and here you are again! RUclips MOM, I LOVE YOU! 😭😭😭😭😭
Last week, I had chicken tenders to cook but didn't feel like watching them on the stove so I looked for a baked recipe. I really appreciate your instructions here. I haven't been consistent with my baked chicken to be just right - temperature level, time in oven, and baking dish - regardless of whole chicken or tenders. Using your recipe (I did chicken tenders instead of full breast portions and defrosted leftover chicken stock instead of butter/oil), my tenders turned out better than when I grill/saute them! I was shocked at how juicy they were! - and NOT rubbery Even though I'd use a meat thermometer, I'd always be concerned that the chicken should've cooked longer, etc. Thank you, thank you! 🍗
I absolutely love your Sunday videos! It gives me inspiration when I need it the most, sitting on the couch thinking of the week ahead. I’ve never tried smoked paprika as it’s not a common spice in the Swedish household but I’ve seen it at the shelf in the grocery store. I think a new spice is exactly what I need. I will definitely try and recreate this and if I had social media I would have tagged you. I am so very grateful for your continuous uploads which honestly feels like the best kind of support during these trying times of diseases and - just life. Thank you ❤️
I love one pot meals like sausage with rice ...gumbo...chicken and rice ..or beef with rice ...just don’t know the steps like I brown the meat and put rice with stock ...make one with biscuits ...looks super duper good
I tried this today and it was the moistest chicken breast I've ever cooked!! Taste is a personally thing, and I found the thyme to be a bit over-powering, so next time I'll cut it in half, but other than that, I LOVED IT!!! I was skeptical, but you proved me wrong! I'm so glad I was wrong.
Just found your recipe and for months I've been getting frustrated cooking simple chicken breasts, either undercooked or overcooked ugh. Now I realize what I've doing wrong, I will give your way a try. I never rubbed my chicken breasts with olive oil, just a seasoning. And everyone has always told me cook them at 350 deg, now I see why this was a mistake. Thank you!
Thanks for this recipe Lisa! I tried it tonight and it turned out amazing! Your tips on getting it to be moist worked!!! I’ll be making my chicken breast like this again and again! Been looking for a recipe and cooking instructions like this forever, so thanks again! 😀🙏🏾 Love your channel and vids!
thank you, i have been making dry and blend chicken breasts for weeks. For the first time since I started dieting my wife is willing to eat my cooking :')
Hi friends! There are seriously so many ways you can serve these baked chicken breasts. Especially ones loaded with flavor like these! What are your favorites sides? Or how would you serve them? :) xo - Lisa
I like to serve my baked chicken with roasted asparagus or maple bacon Brussels sprouts and a side of garlic mashed potatoes. :)
A salad with green beans I think.
As you mentioned, there are so many combos of seasonings - so how did you decide on these?
Thank you Lisa for this great receipt. Just made it with some oven baked potatoes. My young kids loved it and I did too!

Thank you for saving me greasy chicken. after today I can eat plain test one.😊
SO good! I do a side of cauliflower rice with kale, artichoke hearts, carrots and a yam.
Loving all those veggie sides 😊
I made this exactly as shown and it was the best baked chicken breasts ever! Tender, moist with a lot of flavor. Thanks for this great video!🙏👍👍👍👍👍
Thrilled to hear this recipe was a success Pamela!
I made this for dinner today, left it marinated overnight in the fridge.
The chicken came out very well, juicy and so tasty. Thank you ❤
This video was so perfectly detailed but not over the top. Just straight to the point with amazing pointers!! So glad I found this. Thank you so much!!
This is the best chicken I have ever made in my life, thank you!
Thank you.
Glad this recipe worked out perfectly!
I couldn't believe how good this turned out! Best ever and I even I'd it up
Made this for dinner today and it was a hit with the family.
So glad you stumbled upon Downshiftology as well and that you enjoyed these chicken breasts 😊
I'm glad your baked chicken breasts turned out great!
I used this recipe 2 nights ago and just remembered I didn't comment!! THANK YOU SOOOO MUCH! This has helped me with meal prepping more than you know❤❤ It was so juicy you guys, make sure to follow it exact!
When I see how many people look this up. I'm glad I'm not the only one who can't do simple stuff
I don’t cook very often. This was legit! ❤️
Glad this chicken recipe turned out great Autumn!
Thank you very very much 🥰
Happy to hear this baked chicken was a success! 😊
Hi Lisa, I made your baked chicken breast recipe.for my family celebrating my 82nd birthday. They came out absolutely tender and delicious just like you said they would! Yep, I flipped them over 1/2 way through cooking! Thanks for all your great recipes!! Best, Deena
Happy birthday! I'm glad this chicken breast recipe worked out perfectly Deena.
Lovely chicken recipe! I'm just going to add sliced onions to that, to keep my Bulgarian tradition recipe.
Much regards
Didn’t have any idea what to cook tonight, so did a little search & this came up...
Turned out great!
Thx.
I do the same, I flip my chicken half way through. I’m always complimented on how juicy my chicken is
I had to come back to this video just to THANK YOU!! My chicken used to be dry and gross. This was full of flavor and juicy.
Thank you
I haven't tried the spices yet. I do my own thing. But this has been the only instructions I have found that taught me how to not dry out chicken breasts. I have tried so many!
Very clear concise video with no needless blah blah. 10/10 would recommend. and I'm making this tonight. Thank you.
It's great to see this video. I actually used your recipe for the pan-seared chicken today and it actually came out great. Adding liquids to the pan for the final bit of cooking is the winner for me. I made gravy from the juices and paired it with roasted veggies and persimmons on the side.
Sounds amazing! Glad you loved that recipe - and can't wait for you to try this one next.
I just found u on Christmas and it was definitely a gift lol I love love love your recipes and will definitely be making alot of what I've seen. U are awesome!
Welcome to the Downshiftology community Ashante! 😊 I can't wait to see what you whip up!

Glad to hear that! 😊 Enjoy these delicious chicken breasts and stay tuned for tons more content coming your way this year.
The legend says chickens across the world felt a shiver down their spine when this video was uploaded. The most perceptive chicken even experienced cold sweat although it shouldnt be phisicly possible.
Excellent video... Very straight to the point, without all the unnecessary gibberish...Thank you
Girl you are on a roll, tried out 3 of your recipes and they are 3 keepers , as I like to say.
Will do. I do a chicken in crockpot with coarse sea salt pepper paprika onion, h
Garlic powder about 2 1/2 cut up and it with a salad i made the dressing and cartoons
❤❤❤❤❤❤ *Flipping it halfway is a real game changer. Just made this today and it was bomb! Didn't know I could make something so tasty. I'm no great cook but this was probably the juiciest chicken I've ever had.*
just made this. tastes so good. I overcooked them but I always do that. still was awesome. thanks
Glad this video came just in time 😊 Hope you enjoy Daniel!

Nobody likes dry chicken
Ha! I have many, not so fond memories, of my mother's bone DRY baked chicken breasts growing up. This is a very nice alternative. ❤️

I appreciate the video, no nonsense, no fluff, just how to get great tasting chicken breasts. I’ll be trying this and checking out your other videos.
Hope you enjoy this recipe, plus others here at Downshiftology!
I was waiting for chicken baking specially from Downshiftology and finally its here ❤️
Glad I got this one up as well! Enjoy 😊
Thank you ❤️
I'm so glad I can provide inspiration in the kitchen 😊 And can't wait for you to try smoked paprika! I think you'll love it. Hope you're staying safe!
Glad your chicken breast turned out perfectly with this recipe!
Thank you!
I made this and trust it was really juicy the taste was a bit boring for me but the meat was tender and moist
Just tried this recipe today, definitely a winner!!! Even my picky kid loved it 👍
Thanks for this recipe Lisa!
Aw, I'm glad this recipe worked out great :)
