- We seem to have an obsession with short faced dogs with lots of wrinkles, and I get it I have 2 Frenchies. What many owners are not prepared for is the constant infections many of these dogs seem to get between their wrinkles or facial folds. English bulldogs seem to be the biggest culprits of being bred for these extremely heavy wrinkes. These "nose folds" can trap moisture and bacteria, leading to pain, infection, and chronic health issues. Surgical removal of these folds can become necessary for the comfort of the patient. This is not the first, nor will it be the last time I have to perform this procedure.
When purchasing a puppy you should be looking at both parents, and while a heavily wrinkled puppy may be cute now, it can lead to life long medical issues.

Wow what a good recovery ! It makes me so sad this is the result of dog breeds with mushy faces and folds of skin, I’m glad some dog parents are responsible enough to get their dogs help and care like this one did. I just wish the demand for these dogs would stop because I’ve seen nothing but all these different health problems. Thank you for showing the results of these skin folds getting removed, great job !
It's an absolute sin that these dogs are being bred on purpose and sold to naive people for several thousand dollars.
So so sad. The dogs had to have multiple surgeries to just be able to breath and live. And it's still looks like he will have issues
And the not naive people that choose to just ignore the harsh reality of what humans are doing to dogs. 😢
These breeds have to stop being bred. Such a miserable life
He looks like the Kardashians now 😂
I have a frenchie but I could never 😢
Thank you for posting this! I’ve always wondered if those facial
Folds could be removed
He is so cute ❤
I have a frenchie but I could never 😢
How much did this surgery cost? I need to have this done too
Our bulldog just had this done yesterday and it cost about $2800 (we're in Central TX), but that included entropion repair on both eyes and the facial/nose fold (so around $2K for just the folds about).
This dog would also be greatly helped by some weight loss- he's obese.
