Thanks for all your wonderful videos. With regard to your Chop settings I noticed that you were using all Torsional. Many surgeons actually prefer all Longit for this mode. The concept is that during chopping you want to bore directly into the nucleus which is one of the strengths of longit power. The other rationale is that theoretically the release of power during chop should be very momentary, simply to hold the piece. Therefore, energy expenditure is not a big issue and longit is not that much of a downside.

Congratulations & thanks for sharing for your excellent Phacofundamental Videos. I have a question, What parameters do you advice to modify on Cortex, Polish and Visco phases if a bimanual approach is used instead of coaxial hand piece?. Regards

Thank you for the series! The Vacuum/flow values shown were meant for the 2.75 tip, right? For a 2.2 mm Phaco tip how much would you change the Vacuum in the chop/ quadrant removal phase? For a beginner surgeon.

in the chop, the pieces do not come to the tip, I cannot occlude the tip. which parameter to change? Can the torsional interfere with occluding the tip?

Try a modest flow (35cc/min), Hugh vacuum (400mmHg) and moderate infusion pressure.
