I didn’t evacuate for Michael and it’s my biggest regret. However, watching the storm roll in and destroyed my town- I noticed how different it was from other hurricanes. It was all coming from high in the atmosphere and was truly weird.
Here's why government is so useless. Tropical weather forecasters have been talking about this system for 2 weeks. They've all been pointing to this potential the whole time. Local weather has only been passively mentioning it since Sunday. And now, only 2 days before it's supposed to hit the government decides to start chirping.
And what exactly could they have done sooner for a storm that's barely formed. They have set up sand bag locations all over the state. And emergency services are in place when needed. It's your job to prepare. It's their job to help with safe locations and evacuations and assist in clean up and power restoration after.🤔
I see the need, but my elderly mother is VERY allergic to both cats and dogs. So there needs to be a few that don't, for people like her. Usually they crate the animals in a separate room, and that works pretty well.
