    Your take on the not asking for the money back is just wild. That is literally the main reason this hasn’t happened yet, it’s not just an aspect of the deal it’s the entire deal lol. you can’t just say they have to figure about that Monday lol , if you think the PGA tour players have to just allow them back for free that’s equally as crazy as saying they should give the money back if not more.

      @@nicholasfrank6705 if you want someone to pay back money you are asking for reparations to make good what the other party lost. Can you please explain how any PGA Your player has been disadvantaged or incurred any losses because of LIV? Prize money on the PGAT has basically tripled. Suddenly you have elevated events with the exact same 1st prize purse. They get to play these events competing in a weaker field without all the LIV players. The FEDEX bonus pool more than doubled. Suddenly you have the Comcast bonus as well. You can't claim reparations for a joining fee you did not choose to take because you did not have the balls to I'm sorry. If I've ever seen a good example of having your cake and eat it too this must be it.

    If only there was a golf journalist who could provide some more insight into what’s going on…

    Why do you emphasize "$4m" that a LIV player wins when Scottie won 3 events worth $4m or more and 3 worth $3,6m like LIV is playing for some outrageous money? The PGA Tour is playing for the same prize. Have you seen the top money earners on the PGA Tour vs LIv? Number 70 earned more than $2m. For the most part the top 20 on the PGA tour has earned more than LIV. And the PGA wants LIV to pay back money. Let that sink in wtf.

    This is simplifying it but people watch for other reasons than just the best player at that place in time. People watch NFL, or PGA Tour etc because they watched with their dad growing up, or some other sentimental value. There no memories and other inherit value to watching LIV. Other than to watch rich guys get more rich.

    I’m glad you guys are making that money, but the commercial load on these videos is completely preposterous.

    Don’t you guys think that until either LIV starts getting actual meaningful viewership or they really start poaching a lot more top talent, the pga tour will continue to purposely stall on a deal? How much longer do the saudis want to keep throwing massive amounts of money at golf without a return? I know there’s near unlimited funds at their disposal but at the same time they can’t like simply flushing away billions for nobody to watch the product. Do you think the tour is just waiting to see if they give up when in a few years LIV still hasn’t drawn significant viewership?

    • @stefanmuller9653
      @stefanmuller9653 Месяц назад

      The viewership is not an indicator of success. Times have changed, young people don't watch golf on TV. They watch it on RUclips or stream it, often times not live. So there are hundreds of thousands of viewers you don't see with the stated viewer numbers. Just because cable TV has XYZ subscribers of which a sample survey and sample trackers say XYZ percentage watch golf is not very accurate.

    • @wesleywright3159
      @wesleywright3159 Месяц назад

      Do we have those numbers? I also stream a lot of the pga tour coverage I watch so their streaming numbers are not factored in as well. Do you think a larger percentage of LIV viewership streams compared to pga tour viewership? If a lot of people stream pga tour as well then the tv ratings are still relative comparisons of viewership and the tour is dominating

      @@wesleywright3159 I'm not trying to argue that LIV has more viewers than the PGA Tour. I'm just saying that the numbers thrown around for LIV by the media from just looking at the concurrent live viewers of the RUclips channel and CW channel is undercounting because there are many other ways of watching. Like through the LIV App, through using IPTV to watch the various channels that broadcast LIV other than CW in other countries. The numbers stated are only US channels.
      Granted same goes for the PGA tour many ways of watching and streaming it some which are not so legal and hence not tracked. Thing is most younger people tend to use alternative options that are free or very low cost which are mostly not tracked by traditional means and as the LIV audience are a lot younger a big portion of their viewers are not being reported in viewership numbers.
