    Just wanted to say Hi. We are moored right next to you. We love your videos, and as I was grabbing the mooring ball yesterday, I saw the name Thalia, and thought - I know that boat. You two are such a cute couple. Keep up the good work.

    You are 100%the most honest sailing channel ever! Not ever afraid to not know something and show the struggle of learning things that so many young people are not taught! I absolutely love watching every week!

    We saw a Princess 65 in Saugatuck, MI in August. The caption was getting ready to head to New York to meet the owners for a week, then was heading south for the winter and to Naples in November.

    You guys need a Japanese hand saw for projects around the boat, super fast and precise cutting! 🤘🏼⛵️

    Nice addition for a place to hang the fruit that I think has two purposes. One of course is a place to store your fruit but the other is just a beautiful statement piece. When I see fruit hanging on other boats it just looks so pretty. I am just wondering how exactly he mounted that. Enjoy the boat show and especially the sail boats. That will give you a lot of honey do list for Patrick and a lot of I want to have this for Michaela😊. Again enjoy your time off the boat show and stay safe out there God bless

      Thank you so much for the kind words Kris! We love the post and plan to attach it by screwing it through the bottom. We will make sure to show it on video when we finish the fruit net! We enjoyed the power boat show but the sailboat show is on a whole different level! Thank you so much for being here with us week after week! 🎉⛵

    First - impressive job on the cuts. Especially watching you use a hack saw instead of a wood saw. Second, to get a better stain, use rags. Some use them to apply and then wipe off. But always use rags to wipe the stain. It will give you much more control.

    • @letsdosomething9610
      @letsdosomething9610 3 месяца назад +1

      I too would recommend the rags, but given this was your first try at stain I think it came out very clean and even. best of luck.

    Nice job on the fruit net hanger! Unless someone watched you put that in they would think it came from the boat factory already installed...
    Looks like you, Bret and Marisa had a fun time looking around at the power boat show, bet you will be doubly excited to go to the sail boat show, I know I'm looking forward to seeing that video.

    I was there in the Princess S65 on Thursday! I know what you mean about the engine rooms, they aren't really emphasized and should be. But the guys on the Tiara 60 actually invited me down inside the ER, so kudos to them!

    You should ask them about the range capabilities of those power boats. You will find that you can't go anywhere with most of them. The rest of them can go places if you have really deep pockets.

      They seem to go from marina to marina, even with 1000s of gallons of diesel. Not quite the vibe. Sailing all the way! ⛵⛵⛵🌎🎉

      😂 Someone was telling us that humans will spend enormous amount of money to turn money into noise, so if you are buying a boat may as well get the noise maker with it 😂 Banister is going well, can't wait for it to be done! Thanks for watching! 🎉⛵

      The 60 is named “Rouge One”. When they docked it they were blasting John William’s “Imperial March”. The 54 was really impressive.

    Loved the work on the wooden leg, now fruit hammock! Good improvisation skills guys! 😎
    That Princess was pretty cool. Too big for me though as I'm pretty convinced that I want something that's maybe 34-41ft which is easily handled when solo sailing but can still be comfy if I ever end up with a lady deckhand companion lol
    And great to see the merch! I Hope you're going to advertise how to get hold of this in the main posts so that lovely looking stuff is easy for your fans to find! Here's a thought, how about designing a drinks bottle for sailors which has an AirTag inside? That way they can track back to where it went overboard 🤓😉😁
    Nice to see you both having fun and mostly chilling. When do we get to see you on the move again?

    • @patrickandmichaela
      @patrickandmichaela  3 месяца назад

      Thank you so much for the kind words! Sometimes you just have to work with what is available!
      65 feet would be a ton of boat to be moving around! Finding something that can easily be handled by two people or single handed is great!
      We are still waiting on getting the merch samples of the clothes before we launch the shop, we just want to make sure the quality of everything is good first! I like that idea about the air tag water bottle, but idk if we are designers 😂
      We will be on the move again in just a few weeks. Have some very exciting deliveries coming up to really improve our Bahamas experience! 🎉⛵

    Back in my day we called motorboats “Stink Pots”, my opinion has not changed. My brother and my business could afford any boat they wished. You would never see them on a Stink Pot .
    You can never buy a better boat than your Snowgoose. Bigger, faster, more gadgets to break, sure, better, not possible. Roland and Francis were fanatical about their Geese. Your boat was better built than my Quasar that did 12 ocean crossings with no major problems including a sail through the Southern Ocean.
    You can never relive your first view of Table Mountain when you sail into Cape Town, on your Prout that got you there safe and sound. I think about mine often.
    You can buy a bigger boat but you can never buy a better boat. How lucky you were to find this boat for your first boat is not unlike Schrödinger’s cat. A cosmic fluke that happens 1 out of 10 to the 10th power.

    • @patrickandmichaela
      @patrickandmichaela  3 месяца назад

      Sailing all the way! Nothing better than sailing, and no better boat than a Prout 🙂 Couldn't agree more that we stumbled into an absolutely perfect boat for us, with no plans on changing that any time soon.
      A bigger boat maybe at some point depending on who we pick up along the way, but who knows what lies ahead 🙂 I know Kasper had 8 people on this boat across the atlantic, so you can pack people in pretty well!
