Just came back to the game after more than a year (I stopped right after galland came I think and before or when escanor came) at least got a come back event compared to new players :p
Already got back to platinum in pvp with my old team green jericho, blue king, red gowther, green merlin.

Getting the L80 Meli, Gowther, Blue King, Merlin and Red Esy as free units really helps the starting F2P.

This will be interesting cause my current stance on Gc is very f2p friendly compared to every other gacha but Gc isn't f2p friendly vs itself imo. The 50 free gems a week that make Gc so f2p friendly are behind a very very thick wall of character investment. Also like the idea of doing this on an actual fresh account not a loaded starter which I personally recommend people to get if they do want to play Gc.

It’s very possible to go champ V- my F2P account (the only unit thats not F2P if you started this game today is T1 and I have him at the back) and I’m in champ 5. It’s difficult but it’s not impossible
