  • We got the opportunity to test out boondocking with our 2021 F150 7.2 kW onboard generator and wanted to share the experience with you. We started the experiment at 11 pm with a hot Airstream. We put the A/C on high/coldest, used a few lights, streamed some stuff on our TV, and used the water pump a couple times. Check out the video to see how the truck and onboard generator performed!

Throw that dang extension cord in the garbage! That is not made to carry that much current. WOW!

We are considering getting the Hybrid F-150 to pull our 31' 1999 Excella Classic (~7700 lbs). How does the F-150 handle your 28' AS?

Ours is a 25 footer, 6800 dry weight, and our F150 tows it like a dream! We love the truck. We have the 3.5 liter ecoboost full hybrid :)

May I contribute an answer? I pull a 28' RV with my 2018 F150 XLT 3.5 Ecoboost. It's not a Powerboost. I use a Blue Ox Weight Distributing Hitch and I can tell you most times I don't even know the RV is behind the truck. No issues whatsoever, it's a dream to tow with the F150.
