Jedi Outcast/Jedi Academy. The cheats are half the fun of that game, mostly because of the spawning you can do. Lightsaber duels between Luke Skywalker, Desann, Tavion, Kyle Katarn, Alora, all in a multiplayer map filled with NPCs you planted there. It's amazing. Why some people get upset about cheats in SINGLE PLAYER is beyond me.

Cheating is immensely fun in singleplayer games… All the goofing around. I remember after playing through GTA Vice City just starting it up occasionally for half an hour and using the tank command...god that was fun. Cheating can bring value and new life to a game you have completed, developers restricting cheating usually just seems like limiting the Players Imagination.

yeah, getting outside boundary in Slender the Arrival does not give you any advantage in proceeding in game, but even gives you an achievement iirc. There are actual cheats there though (master in console) that disable steam achievements
Think about it like this you spend months of your life creating something not being able to see family for a good portion of that time so when you finally accomplish the task and you're ready to share it with the world some douche comes along completely misuses it or can't be bothered to experience it the way you intended...I can totally see how some people could get frustrated...having said that I do wish developers were this vigilant 10+ years when I was still playing online competitively...

There's the bad egg thing from Pokemon. If the game catches you with a gameshark/game genie/action replay Pokemon, your PC will fill up with random eggs until you can't have any new pokemon. If you try to hatch them... I don't know what happens cause I've only heard stories about it.

I don't really see a problem with cheating in single player games though. You bought the game, why shouldn't you be allowed to play it however you want to?

yeah, getting outside boundary in Slender the Arrival does not give you any advantage in proceeding in game, but even gives you an achievement iirc.
There are actual cheats there though (master in console) that disable steam achievements

Think about it like this you spend months of your life creating something not being able to see family for a good portion of that time so when you finally accomplish the task and you're ready to share it with the world some douche comes along completely misuses it or can't be bothered to experience it the way you intended...I can totally see how some people could get frustrated...having said that I do wish developers were this vigilant 10+ years when I was still playing online competitively...

I can understand the fact that on online games cheaters should be dealt with some sort of punishment that the game producers choose but why on earth would you ban somebody cheating on an offline game just be cause he found a bloody way to get away with it?!?!?!? I'm fine with harsh punishments for pirates and cheaters in multiplayer games, but harsh punishments for "cheating" in a _single player_ game? Sorry, but that's just the developer being a dick. People should be allowed to play a game however they want as long as it's not spoiling the fun for somebody else.

If the game catches you with a gameshark/game genie/action replay Pokemon, your PC will fill up with random eggs until you can't have any new pokemon. If you try to hatch them... I don't know what happens cause I've only heard stories about it.

You should’ve included that in Batman Arkham Asylum, if you were caught cheating, Batman’s cape wouldn’t be useable, making the game nearly impossible to complete because his cape is one of, if not the biggest aspect to his gameplay, considering that’s how he gets places 90% of the time in missions and in free roam

There is a difference between a book and a video game. Turning a page doesnt change the book. Changing codes in a game . changes the game completely. If you dont want to get punished for cheating then buy games that allow you to use cheats and mods0
