She was the best dancer of the generation...you just could not look away from her when she was dancing. She was a muse to Bob Fosse after Gwen Verdon. You will never be forgotten.
I was really saddened to learn of Ann's passing; especially how it occurred. I see a little irony here. I first saw "All That Jazz" on a really big silver screen when I was only 27. It left me in awe. To watch it now that I am 68, it has a deeper and more appreciative meaning. :(
I rolled my eyes at this movie when I saw it in my twenties now at 42 - and stumbled upon it after Ann’s death - rewatched it again and it hit me HARD…
this scene in particular when I was going though a dark/hard time in my life. Something about this scene…Bob’s direction and choreography and Ann’s lyrics it hit me that “you are loved and people are fighting for you. You aren’t alone. “
Which only made the end hit twice as hard.
How did she die? I read no cause of death was given.
the most addicting number of the movie for me, this big musical intro and the choreography- chef kiss!
❤️💃❤️
RIP you’re a treasure never to be forgotten 💔
Ann makes dancing an art. RIP
💯 💃💙
RIP you gorgeous creature!!!
Crushed. What a loss.
Lost a great lady. Not forgotten
Of course it's so hard to look away from Ann Reinking, but all three of them did an incredible job in this scene. Erzsebet Foldi (the young girl) is such a great dancer and communicator of emotion. Leland Palmer's (lighter-haired woman with the startling eyelashes) wild expression when she yells "you better stop" at 1:05 is breathtaking. All three seem to truly believe what they're demanding.
Let's remember how much of a legend she waa.
she was fabulous; so attractive
