Sick and tired of hangovers, drama, police involvement, wife kids crying I decided to quit once and for all NOW 6 MONTHS SOBER!! everything in my life has improved dramatically its awesome! My weekends now are amazing I'm sober I get to enjoy family time with wife and kids I absolutely love it❤❤👍🏻
How old are you? And congrats, I'm trying to taper down, down from 10 bottle shots down to 5 a night now but I have night sweats and can't sleep but dedicated. Can't quit cold turkey cause I've had history or seizures and hallucination to the point of being hospitalized several times...
I drunk alcohol from the age of 18 to 30 and this is my 2nd day of sobriety and I have a lifetime to go 🥰. I have 2 beautiful babies and I want to raise them as a mother, not a drunk. I am looking forward to a awesome, alcohol free life with my kids with no regrets.
Same here bro. Using naltrexone for 3-4 months now. Still drink, but just out of habit. The cravings have been blunted. Alcohol consumption has drastically reduced. More and more 'alcohol free' days. Hopefully I will be free from it soon.

I’ve abused alcohol from my early teens till now and I’m 35. I’ve fought the thought of me having a problem and always gave myself an out cause I liked who I was when I was drinking. Or so I thought. It’s taken many arrests, financial troubles, dark depression bouts, lost jobs and friends to finally realize that I’m wasting my life away. I’ve been sober for only 5 days now but my mentality has changed when it comes to booze. I realize it has been the one thing I can point to in my life that has held me back and I’m just exhausted of living that life. It’s not making me happy. I’m committed like never before cause I wanna know who the real me is again and find happiness.
The weirdest thing I’ve noticed is that my friends weren’t actually friends. Without booze we have absolutely nothing in common. Bit of a lonely stage, but I’m working through it and feeling stronger every single day. What a journey I’m on 👌👌👌
20 years drunk myself---done with all of it---GOD bless you---your channel is the best thing I've ever seen on youtube...all the rehab etc. I would replace with you. THANKYOU from the bottom of my heart brother :) I don't know how to even tell you. Someone who knows...I wish you well
thank you ! I now quit drinking for 1 month now. and I tell you .my c9nfidence went up and I breathe better .my bones dont hurt and my insomia wen away .
I'm 36, trying so hard to quit, down from 10 bottle shots a night to 5 and feeling the effects, night sweats and no sleep, shakes, I hate it, but determined and no one in my life really gets it. Pray for me, love you all
I get it man. Much love. A failure is not defeat. Tomorrow is a new day. I wouldn’t say go cold turkey but even just less everyday will lead you to 0 I’m here with you. Same part of my journey. Much love.
I was a pathetic drunk. I drank from 17-37 and screwed up 90% of the relationships in my life. Thousands of blackouts. Quit cold turkey coming up on 12 years, I was tired of my own bullshit. I just thought "How long am I going to do this? Til I die from it?" and halfway thru a bottle of rum I told my friends "After tonight, that's it." And I never drank another drink. Never felt like a drink. Never did AA. Just stopped. It was like I'd never been a drinker. Of course your 'friends' are gone, you can't be around all that and the thing is .. you don't want to be. Only real friendhips endure, that's the good thing.
stopped 3 weeks ago. I was so tired of my life and scared because i was hurting my body and making mistakes left and right. dropping alcohol is the best first step i could have taken to change my life. My whole family has problems i plan on changing that trend.
Kevin-thank you so much for making these inspirational videos. I watch your videos at night before bed and they help give me the mental focus and confidence to continue living a sober life. I was primarily a weekend drinker but it altered my mind so much, I usually didn't feel 'normal' again until Wednesday. So much time was wasted. I'm on day 19 now and hope to keep it going!! Please keep the great videos coming-im sure they've helped countless people.
Thank you Kevin. I made the decision to stop drinking last week. I am starting my 6th day. I drank 5-9 IPAs everyday 6.5+ apv which is like drinking a 12 pack a day. Your videos are helping understand what i can expect and it helps me tremendously. Last night was a mfer trying to sleep and the headaches suck. I will get through this and prevail. Life is to fucking short to live it in an alcohol induced fog. Thanks Again...
Are you still off the booze after 4 years or so Brian? If so, that's a credit to you. It must have been hard for you that time back. I wish you luck for the future!
I once had a hangover which last for days I was depressed for a week I felt terrible I went on a binge and didn’t eat for days I just drank. OMG I thought I was going to die I had the shakes really bad I don’t know why I did that to myself I just couldn’t stop drinking.Looking back now I feel ashamed of myself I hurt a lot of people friends and family I did some stupid things waking up in the morning thinking of what I did that night I had so much remorse.
Brett Nixon I don't even know you, but I feel very bad because I was there myself, and still feel such regret that I didn't stop sooner because I will NEVER Feel as happy, intelligent, or sociable as I was before I swamped myself in this disgusting, despicable cycle.
I would also feel very depressed for up to two weeks after just one night of drinking. I think this is common and people need to talk about it more. Any drug that makes you feel GOOD will make you feel BAD once it leaves your system...leaves your brain in a confused funk...then add the remorse and regret onto it and...ya.
Jennifer H Alcohol will suppress the self critical part of our brain. Once we start to sober up, self critical self has been bound and gagged for however long we drank. Then, the cat comes out the bag!
I drank anywhere from 18 to 30 beers a day,every day for 5 years, That's well over 3 tons of beer a year. Do the math Avg 1.04 lbs per 16 oz can x 20 beers a day=20.8 lbs a day x 7 days a week=145.6 lbs a week x 52 weeks=7,571 lbs of beer a year. I QUIT AND IF I CAN,ANYBODY CAN !!!!
@szs voc no its not you have some lovely ipas, dipa , neipa, stouts, imperial stouts, sours, then u hsve the belgium style beers like lambics and trappist beers which are more malty than hoppy. Also you have new brewing techniques in brewing beer like dry hopping and double dry hopping. To say beer is disguisting is an absurd statement yes generic beer like budweiser and corrs etc is disguisting but there is way more to beer than just this.if a person is drinking litres of cheap beer every day they are ususlly drinking it purely for its alcoholic effect and not for the quality of the beer. To make a blank statment saying beer is duisguisting is like saying food is duisguisting is nonsensical it may not be to your taste for various reasons but u cant call it duisguisting.
was it club 18-30? so that's 24 beers per day at £4 a pint. £96 per day seven days a week. £672 per week. i take it you ran a public house...don't bother answering, i don't read them
David in America Coors , Miller and Budweiser are the most popular Beers and to be honest taste great , in the USA we don't like the thick dark beers of Europe , just saying
Your videos helped me so much. I now hate alcohol with a passion. I use to feel like I could only live and be fun with It. But It ruined my life, job, relationships, and family. I want to kill the demon of alcohol. And I feel so bad for everyone that is battling alcohol addiction. It creeps up on you. Definitely a sneaky spirit.
How old are you? And congrats, I'm trying to taper down, down from 10 bottle shots down to 5 a night now but I have night sweats and can't sleep but dedicated. Can't quit cold turkey cause I've had history or seizures and hallucination to the point of being hospitalized several times...
Have too start from somewhere, I’m on my second day, feel sick, dizzy, shakey, not eating, but I’m gonna do this. For my father, kids and my beautiful lady. I will not touch a drink. I will not! Love the videos and the comments, thank you!
Life without alcohol scares me to death. Half way through week 1. Went to my first aa meeting this week. I pray I stay sober. Early days but I want to succeed so bad.
I never stopped drinking acute pancreatitis stopped me drinking I very very nearly died but I came back I got fit again and I have now been six years sober to beat this problem I must die a sober man and I am on the road to do this
Drank from 17 yrs old. I'm 54 and now 9 days without a drop. It's a great feeling of control and its early days for me but it's inevitable day at a time.
I am going to try some of your advice. I am up and down with this all the time. I am so tired of 4 days stopping and feeling great then thinking I need to award myself for being good. Thank you.
1 year, 2 months, and 1 day sober from alcohol. Let me tell you, this has been one hell of a journey. I honestly don’t even crave it anymore. I was physically addicted to whisky, and beer. I was having seizures from withdrawals and it was terrible. Literally panic attacks, seizures, delirium tremens, heart palpitations, brain zaps, etc. I had it all happen to me. I finally feel normal again and I can finally live my life at peace. One thing that helped me a lot was my support system, and I’ve been using CBD. The CBD helps calm the anxiety, and relaxes me. I was also addicted to benzodiazepines for a year, too. Alcohol, and benzo withdrawals were the worse thing ever. If you’re going thru either, or, you gotta seek help ASAP. It’ll save your life. Just take it one day at a time, that’s what I did. Stay strong, and don’t stop believing in yourself. Find a hobby, get busy, and it’s all mind over matter. You can’t let that poison control your life. Cut off ppl that enable you to use/drink. In the end, you’ll thank yourself that you did this. Take care, and stay strong. God bless, and Happy New Year. You deserve to get your life back. 🙏🏽😁
May 22nd 2017 was my first day starting and may 23rd 2017 was my first video I saw from kevin. Maybe i was lucky or maybe smart...but I took these wisdoms to heart. 3 years later and not 1 drop of alcohol after 25 years of hard drinking. It can be done people!!! Thanks Kevin! I owe you big time
My second day after a six months of non-stop drinking (I mean every night, but still). But in fact I have been a pretty heavy drinker since 1990. The last months have been particularly bad, with lots of wine, beer and vodka. The cravings are kicking in. In order to get through this evening, I'm off to the gym now. Thanks for your videos, they are a big support.
Don't rationalize drinking and feel proud you can get through anxiety and depression without it. Sure, there will be awkward situations and heightened emotions, but you will feel more powerful and in control of your destiny. Love your videos and your hikes look amazing! Hope you slather on the sunscreen! :P
@discgolfer78 Help is available even if you do not have insurance. See if there is a salvation army near you. You have a computer, search for help!! You are not a loser! I wish you the best and you can do it... I am on day 6 of not drinking, yes it is hard, but you have the power. GOOD LUCK! keep us posted.
Sugar free 7-Up, lots of fresh squeezed lime and ice really works for me. I look forward to it more than I did booze, and drink it before dinner time, when I used to drink booze. Perfect replacement for me. Refreshing and delicious. I got lucky.
Amazing channel and amazing person! Ive just quit a month ago and feel proud of myself everyday. All you need is to understand and realize that alcohol doesnt give you ANY benefits. Live is so good without it, my mental and physichal health has changed so much and its only 30days. Sending love for happy sober people 💜
Drank for 20 years on and off. 7 days into recovering the best version of myself thus far. Honestly it’s about getting to know yourself again and accepting the past you came from. You are worth it and worth love from God and yourself before anyone else. Fuck the guilt and shame and the burnt bridges. Stay in the fight and take it ONE DAY AT A Time. Drinking became everything it should NOT be for me and took me several years to finally separate it from my life. Luckily for me it didn’t cause me legal problems. I took a week off work the recalibrate myself and take the stress off. I slept a lot and went for runs. Diet is important as well as putting your attention on motivational and positive things. It’s going to still suck at times but just the recovery part. Not the alcohol. I believe in all of you. Pray to the universe and let it all out. You will be recovered and better than ever!
Sober for 22 days now. Was more addicted than I realized. Drank heavily since roughly 6 mos after covid shutdowns started. First hard alcohol, then thought wine wouldn t be as bad. It was...felt terrible and said," no more". Went cold turkey, and wouldn t advise that....feeling better . With my " coping mechanism " gone,I m relearning that I can be strong w/ out the crutch😊
Day four for me and i will be back on day 30 and beyond. I wish you all freedom from this evil spirit conjuring poison. Much love to everyone choosing themselves and much love to you Kevin. Infinite thanks for your time and these vids. 💖
Its amazing what u said, I have been drinking for a long time but the last 3 years I was drinking and driving and get home drunk I almost don't remembered what happened last night. Some people have a side affects but with me when I stopped drink, I fell so much energy I love to running swimming and my six pack is back all my life is just going for better, I am fulllll of energy. just went for running with my son this morning in the park and now i came across to your video.... Thank you very much...
This man has quickly become my guardian angel. I've decided to quit as i have liver damage abd my pancreas arent working right either. Im only stopped 4 days now and determined to stop for good. I drank 35 years and had prescription tab abuse when I drank. Apart from hurting my family with abusive talk when drunk and mood swings i have had enough. Gym starts for me and surrounding myself with good folk like this lad. Ty and hope im back on here next year still clean helping others in my situation
You are spot-on about preparedness Kevin. For me, I've found that if I really want a beer, something carbonated is an excellent substitute. However, I'm still trying to figure out a good substitute for the bar for when I'm lonely and bored. I think weight lifting in the backyard barefoot is becoming the substitute though. Because I know after one beer at the bar I'm there until my money runs out.
Thank you mate, you are really helping me. I am stopping tomorrow and i'm fucking afraid of it. But i know better times are waiting on me. I deserve this. Still fucking scared...
this weekend 3 weeks sober without drugs and alcohol! been working out but it gets harder you start getting depressed and weird feelings those are the parts when you gotta be careful and say no!
It's so damn convenient. I'd go to the store for say, toilet paper and come home with a case of beer. I finally can pass the alcohol isle without that devil on my shoulder. 7 months now for me. It gets easier. I'm never going back.
So glad I️m no longer dependent on anything. I️ was hooked on alcohol, caffeine, and porn/fetish websites. All three were lowering my quality of life. The booze is obviously destructive for health and other facets of life, the caffeine made me feel like a zombie despite downing coffee in the morning, every drink or coffee drinks in the afternoon and more coffee after work. I️ developed this fetish for getting dominated my muscular chicks and pissed a lot of money away meeting women to indulge in it. Porn is very addicting for me. Now I️ no longer depend on these things. Thank God.
I think this guy has one of the best videos on the topic on RUclips. I think something which should be pointed out, though, is that quitting cold-turkey sometimes results in catastrophic physiological changes which can be moderate or even life threatening. I knew a person who died several days after quitting, although he was a very heavy/constant drinker before that. There are plenty of stories like his, albeit not necessarily resulting in death. It's just something to consider, and if youre a heavy drinker you might want to have a doctor supervise you through quitting. Aside from these thoughts, I think Kevin here has one of the best attitudes on the subject, morally and emotionally. Great to hear! Thank you.
i know a guy who spent years drinking nearly 2 liters per week (about 67 oz) of whisky at 40% ABV. He wanted to quit badly and did without any help. The secret is, you want to quit. It's all mindset. BTW he can drink socially again without falling back into it regularly. He drinks 12 - 20 per year now and can go months without even thinking about it. He beat his addiction about 6 or 7 years ago.
My biggest problem is I am a very functional alcoholic. 5 drinks a day , 7 day's week. I will never hit rock bottom. I work 60 hours a week but those precious 30 minutes with my kids when i get home Monday to Thursday are wasted with cracking and few drinks then putting them to bed. Thanks for an honest video. Im going to aa and looking forward to it. Thanks again!!!
Utterly brilliant video. Kevin is your man. He is the guy I'm hoping can solve my drink problem. Yes, I think the key here is how you react under pressure. It's really key. You must have a plan.
Using naltrexone for 3-4 months now. Still drink, but just out of habit. The cravings have been blunted. Alcohol consumption has drastically reduced. More and more 'alcohol free' days. Hopefully I will be free from it soon.
After five weeks of drinking everyday in Jamaica, I come home to Hawaii and have made it 5 days without a drink. A switch flipped on the way home on the airplane, my body revolted and I snapped out of the zone of self destruction. Hope it lasts, good videos and they are helping.
God bless you brother. Thank you for your insight. This video has really helped me to change my old habits. I'm starting today on a new path. I'll check back soon and give you an update. Thanks again.
Priceless advice.Ive always tried and needed to look after my health, but find it so appealing at times to drink for various reasons, and it just lures you more and more ,like all drugs do.Thank you 🎉🎉🎉
I’ve gone through rehab, then the pandemic happened. Starting over again. I’ve come to the conclusion that there is no one alcohol. There are many reasons we pick up. Many reasons to stop. For me, my demon was fear and anxiety. Alcohol calmed temporarily. And for years, I could put it down. Some people enjoy drinking, I never did. With that in mind, I am turning to hypnosis and supplements to help handle anxiety. So, you have to understand why you feel the need.
Wow thank you!!! Every single word was on point. I’m just now starting my journey to sobriety. I have watched a lot of videos and yours really hit home to me. I will watch several more times. Thank you!!
Your video strikes a cord. I am aware of and try to accomplish what you talk about almost every morning. So far, without much success. I wish I had your strength. Congrats and I will keep trying.
Thank you buddy where I'm at is October I had my last drink October 5th I'm looking forward to being so for the remainder of this year with watching your videos I hope pray that I can stay on past thank you again for the wonderful video wish me luck
I drank heavily from 16 to 30. Originally I drank with friends to get drunk, I liked being drunk, felt like I was more confident. I didn't like the hangovers or my temper at times on it though. Eventually quit driking all together at 46 a few months back and feel a lot better for it.
I'm starting to realize I have developed a dependency on alcohol. I spent years denying it or saying I'm in control. I've quit and cut back before but I always come back to alcohol. I feel sick and look like shit even though it's been 3 days since my last drink. I typically binge on the weekends usually it's good but then again sometimes I make bad decisions or do more drugs when my inhibitions are lowered. The worst is when I black out and am not sure what I did the night before. I dont do it a lot. I have been drinking casually on weekends and felt fine. Last weekend I completely relapsed and blacked out and made an ass of myself. I'm lucky I didnt get arrested or beaten up. Your videos are helping me a lot with getting through this. You're doing good work and I wanted to thank you.
I agree with so much of what you say in your videos and your videos truly are inspiring. I am sending them to a friend who is really struggling with quitting. I think what you are doing to help people is incredibly commendable and I am so glad I found your videos to try and help my friend. I drank for almost 2 decades and tried to quit a few times on my own without success. I then read Alan Carr's Easy Way to Control Alcohol and haven't had a drink in over 2 years so although I agree with most of what you say I don't necessarily agree that you can't get sober by reading a book. However I will say that reading a book will obviously not work for everyone across the board but I think if you have the right mindset and the motivation to quit, a book can change your thinking and perception enough to get you on the road to sobriety. The book reprogrammed my mind to see alcohol for what it is as a poison destroying my mind and body and not as the positive thing in my life that I had been brainwashed to believe it is. What works for one person doesn't necessarily work for another and everyone has to find what works for them. I'm curious if you have heard of the book and what your thoughts are of it? Thanks for all you do and keep up the good work!
Four months sober, feeling better all the time, my girl friend has quite too. Life is so much better sober. Drink is not a friend, you are not loosing anything...
This video was amazing. I have been very tempted to start using again the past couple days, I pushed through even though it sucked, and I'm glad I did. Keep on keeping on guys, it's so totally worth it.
Day 26 sober and completely alcohol free. Age 50 and have binge drank on and off since I was a teenager.. This culture is a lie. It doesn't do anything good for us.! Fresh and have a LOT of time to fill.. Excited for what is ahead. Channel is very good.
That's exactly how I beat coke, benzos and tobacco on my own. Now the last one: alcohol. Going into detox the day after tomorrow. This video gives me strength 👊🏻
Lagerwal I hear you and feel your pain, a week in you nearly thru it, I felt real again after about 12 days the mood swings got better over time and once I was in a regular sleep pattern the depression at least lifted, the mania I still experience till now. It has been worth it. I lost everything back then, now I have it back and more. It’s so easy to say keep strong so I won’t say it, instead I’ll prefer to say surrender to it feel all of it you will look back on it fondly one day
I;m spending this Sunday afternoon listening to you and it's the best thing I could do. I've only been sober for a few months (I think it was a year but I had a day when I used alchohol to run away. My sister is my conscience. She reminds me. And it's true that I can't think of a single drink that I enjoy. I love Norman Doidge "The Plastic Brain". The good news is that we can change. But it means sustained and continuous effort. Tx again.
Been getting wasted since 2004-2018 decided to take a long break after new year's. Don't know when I'll quit completely yet but I'm starting to feel like it. I just don't enjoy it as much as I use too. And I feel shitty the next day. It's been 1 week since I've drank and I feel so much more energized and better sleep.

What sticks with me is "Don't think your losing drinking, Your gaining life"
Im VERY early sobriety and that saying helped a lot!
Needing Sobriety I'm at day 2. I can make it a few weeks at most. Then I relapse. That quote is deep. Hit me pretty hard.

Yeah. I think I have quit drinking about 500 or 600 times. The real problem is to stay sober. That is not easy.

What helped me is that I started to hate alcohol. Remind urself of a terrible hangover and how much it sucked
Same, hangover is enough to stop me
I once had a hangover which last for days I was depressed for a week I felt terrible I went on a binge and didn’t eat for days I just drank.
Wow!! You are inspiring
£672 per week. i take it you ran a public house...don't bother answering, i don't read them
Good, now you are less of a loser
David in America Coors , Miller and Budweiser are the most popular Beers and to be honest taste great , in the USA we don't like the thick dark beers of Europe , just saying
Day 1 And I'm not going back! We can do this!!!
Hi Debra, did you remain sober for the month ? I did !🤗
Your videos helped me so much.
Brianna R. don't hate just move on and know your loved
Still off the drink?
37 days today no alcohol 😆 I’m so happy best thing I have ever done is stop drinking. Thank you so much for your videos as I find them really helpful
@JennyEckley are you still sober now ? Thank you
So are you still sober?.
I'm three weeks sober today, thanks to your inspirational videos, which have and continue to be a great help.
Life without alcohol scares me to death. Half way through week 1. Went to my first aa meeting this week. I pray I stay sober. Early days but I want to succeed so bad.
I am allergic to alcohol.. I break out, in hand cuffs.
Brilliant
thank you for making this video.
It's not a loss, it's good riddance to toxicity.
I never stopped drinking acute pancreatitis stopped me drinking I very very nearly died but I came back I got fit again and I have now been six years sober to beat this problem I must die a sober man and I am on the road to do this
Congrats!
Drank from 17 yrs old. I'm 54 and now 9 days without a drop. It's a great feeling of control and its early days for me but it's inevitable day at a time.
Ditto. Best wishes
@MikeyBernabe are you still sober pal
You are an excellent example of a man. You seem to delight in helping others. Thank you sir !
YOur a good man sharing these tips with those of us that struggle....Thank you so much..
Thank you for taking the time to make these videos.
Day 1. I’m back and I’m ready to go again 🙏🏻
Five days in and I don't miss it at all. I'm Kicking several addictions at once. I wake up up in morning feeling great.
And now?
1) drinking 2) drinking 3) drinking 4) drinking 5)drinking 6)drinking
Incredible, absolutely incredibly helpful!! Thank you so so much!
moto
3rd day alcohol free
Vernon Reddy I'm at day 2. Hope you're beating your struggle
White Is Right shut the fuck up you filthy imbecile demon
White Is Right 😂😂😂
So, what color is left?!?!
Kaylee Kapital Well said Kaylee.
Nice words kaylee 😻
im trying to quit over 2 years nothing helps.. I keep reminding my life and then it goes again. I truly envy him.
All most a month sober .....
Sugar free 7-Up, lots of fresh squeezed lime and ice really works for me. I look forward to it more than I did booze, and drink it before dinner time, when I used to drink booze. Perfect replacement for me. Refreshing and delicious. I got lucky.
You're right, I set a goal for 30 days and did it but went back to drinking because my other issues were not resolved. Hoping to get it right.
Your voice is the only one you will ever have , awesome video man .
Amazing channel and amazing person! Ive just quit a month ago and feel proud of myself everyday. All you need is to understand and realize that alcohol doesnt give you ANY benefits. Live is so good without it, my mental and physichal health has changed so much and its only 30days. Sending love for happy sober people 💜
I want to be like Kevin ...
My 1st full week with NO DRINK
me too, though I went to find pills that will help me regain my brain
Any updates scooter? Good or bad?
Day 1 for me. God help me.
How are you two doing?
That's funny. Don't lose your sense of humor. Sobriety is the hardest drug of them all. Let's take the journey into reality.
Be strong my friend
Your fckd , don't think your imaginary friend is going to help you .. knob ..
You can do it! I should say we. Day 3 for me.
Thank you. I just passed my 30 day mark. I feel so free from the consuming thoughts of getting more and cant wait to be all the way healed
Good advice is always welcome, never seen a healthy drunk.
I am So Grateful and Happy to have found your RUclips channel.
Huge battle we are fighting. Giving up alcohol after years of drinking would be a life success.
Remember, it's just a bad habit.
Stay strong!
WHO NEEDS AA , WHEN WE HAVE YOU ! ☝️👌🤣🤣
I was thinking the same thing. This channel is valuable.
I prefer to use A.A as well as online help... Don't need to but I never want to pick up ever again....
He does roadside repairs too?
jayaybe1 You mean Triple A ?
( you’re missing a marble lad ! 🤣🤣 )
@@eddiebenzz Er...no. AA as in AA! Not everyone's American, Eddie.
Thank God.
Wanker. Lol
fckn toby .. id ditch your imaginary friend too ..
Thank you.
There are worse things than death. Grab a set & go cold turkey. With respect.!
@@DalesBadBug no not 100percent not even close. Alot of them were about to die Anyway.
i know a guy who spent years drinking nearly 2 liters per week (about 67 oz) of whisky at 40% ABV.
Daryl try cold turkey , I would not go to AA , I have tried it and did not work for me and a lot of people , only a 3% success ratio.
I’m on day 6 of sobriety, I’ll be fighting the feeling of anxiety and loneliness this weekend to keep my sober life journey. 🙏
Utterly brilliant video. Kevin is your man. He is the guy I'm hoping can solve my drink problem. Yes, I think the key here is how you react under pressure. It's really key. You must have a plan.
Of course, I AM the person who will solve my drink problem. Kevin is my adviser.
Best video ive seen on getting and staying sober. Having a life plan is so valuable.
Using naltrexone for 3-4 months now. Still drink, but just out of habit. The cravings have been blunted. Alcohol consumption has drastically reduced. More and more 'alcohol free' days.
Hopefully I will be free from it soon.
Great video, have a plan and prepare. First time watching your channel, well done. 5 years sober. Peace be with you
After five weeks of drinking everyday in Jamaica, I come home to Hawaii and have made it 5 days without a drink.
Priceless advice.Ive always tried and needed to look after my health, but find it so appealing at times to drink for various reasons, and it just lures you more and more ,like all drugs do.Thank you 🎉🎉🎉
That’s crazy talk. Saying that we are responsible for our own actions.
:)
8 days sober and I feel great!!!
Meredith Stahl Kevin did a video on that book and recommend it highly good job on stopping drinking that's amazing! I'm going to get the book :-)
@@jameslyons1624 just because he may not of quit drinking, doesn't mean he can't help someone stop drinking. Asshole !!!
Four months sober, feeling better all the time, my girl friend has quite too. Life is so much better sober. Drink is not a friend, you are not loosing anything...
It's like, once the alcohol goes then so does the coke, xanax, weed etc. and anyone associated with them.
How are you doing? 😊
Amen ! Im trying to stop drinking this is very helpful thank you !
That's exactly how I beat coke, benzos and tobacco on my own. Now the last one: alcohol. Going into detox the day after tomorrow.
This video gives me strength 👊🏻
Lagerwal give it stick ! Done benzos and booze 2 years now it can be done, I’ll be thinking of you mate
Lexeal thank You.
One week clean and the results are manic outbursts of either extreme energy or deep depression.
It's not an easy one this time
Lagerwal I hear you and feel your pain, a week in you nearly thru it, I felt real again after about 12 days the mood swings got better over time and once I was in a regular sleep pattern the depression at least lifted, the mania I still experience till now. It has been worth it. I lost everything back then, now I have it back and more. It’s so easy to say keep strong so I won’t say it, instead I’ll prefer to say surrender to it feel all of it you will look back on it fondly one day
Great video Kevin.... thank you very much for your advice.
You are absolutely right mind over the matter👈🤔💪💪💪💪💪🍀
2nd day without drinking your video's are helping me. Thanks
Rhino C how is it going bud
Having another plan for that craving time…yes, a great tip which I will institute! Thank you.
This is spot on, I just stopped, it's entirely up to the individual to stop!
Incredibly honest. Thank you!
