This is absolutely the best sounding wireless speaker that I ever heard, the sound is not boring at all as the video says, it’s realistic carrying something called “resolution” that other speakers try to hide their lack of resolution by tuning the sound
Vifa has much more resolution and refinement but is tuned naturally and sounds realistic, b&w has very boosted highs which, as you've said try to hide the lack of resolution and just sound fake.
I enjoyed the vid. My Zeppelin Classic just fizzled and works no more, well out of warranty but I was offered a replacement Wireless for £299 from Bowers. I have to say, I watched your vid from start to finish, i was impressed with all of them, in their own right. I did prefer the Zeppelin throughout, only once did i find the Harmon Kardon come close, but all this is a personal preference to our own ears. Its not often i spend 38 mins watching a youtube vid, but I did with yours, keep it up and thank you. Graeme. Ps I enjoyed the Rebecca Pidgeon, Spanish Harlem bit, think i may buy that.
You must have some emotional attachment with the Vifa because there is no other way you like it over the B&W. In all tracks B&W was hands-down the better speaker. So much more detail in B&W sound, incredible precision and tight bass. At least from what I hear over my Sennheiser headphones... Vifa gets close though, it's an insult you're comparing the B&W to those JBL or HK parts, they're totally out-classed... I really like your videos though, and I'd like to see more videos on the B&W Zeppelin Wireless. Cheers!
A big thanks to you. I just got a new Zeppelin. Paired right out of the box with Mac Book Pro and Iphone 6plus. Love it. I might get Copenhagen at a later date because I believe it will be a worthy purchase as well.
I've had the Bowers & Wilkins A7 for a few years now and it sounds great. It has two tube loaded tweeters and two Kevlar 3inch mid ranges and a 6inch sub-woofer.
The Harmon Go+Play seemed to be the best competitor, almost a little too bass heavy and lacked the Zepp's refinement but otherwise, not half bad, assuming it costs way less. Too bad Harmon's break as often as they do.
Just got mine back after a few years it was entertaining my kid. It was like getting an old friend back. I even managed to do a firmware upgrade from 2016 in 2021! I've got some pretty nice headphones/DAC/amplifier, but I had forgotten the benefits of a decent room speaker. I use it via Apple Airplay, which I do think sound better than BlueTooth. I wish I could find a wall bracket, for sale, that was from Bowers & Wilkins.
wow , listening with good equipment the zeppelin is bar far the best and most hifi speaker , much better than the vifa , although the hk is not the most hifi , your test shows how much sound you get for such little money , for lower budget the hk is a win
i can only judge from your recording and with good earphones plugged to a good dac/amp the vifa sound a bit boxy compare to the zeppelin but maybe i can come on some holidays to yours , which looks like beautiful countryside , and you can prove me wrong LOL
I found there was a bit too much aluminium tweeter sound in the b&w. Maybe the tweeter level is too high, or they are using a cheaper tweeter than in their normal speakers. It sounds decent otherwise. The Vifa is the smoothest overall, a little bit of bloom on the lower end, but probably due to the room. Harman Kardons have a midrange dip, and deep but slightly muddy bass.
26:59 IMO you should not remove the speaker's cover for your reviews.... or remove it for both of the speakers in direct comparison, otherwise it's a bit unfair to say that some vocal is unnaturally bright or something... speaker is designed and tuned (sound-wise) with respect to having this cover on, so if someone removes it, he should be aware that the higher mids and trebles become much more present in the sound :)
Speaker Toni I may trust you, but it won't change the fact that you really remove those covers (grills or whatever) on speakers very often, if not always :) In particular, you are probably the only one who listens to B&O S3 without cover... it's more usual that people want to extend the tweeter's covering to eliminate its harshness :D
Hey how did you take off the grill? I have one and I don't want to mess anything up. There's nowhere online that shows it's safe to stick a butter knife in and separate the grill from the speaker.
Alexandru Simonescu better than the Copenhagen? Noo Why does everyone not like Copenhagen haha. I will do more videos of it. The Go play really has no chance. Maybe it didn't came right in the video.
It could be that in real life they sound different than through mics, our headphones, etc. I'm only basing my opinion on what I hear in the video, also the taste in sound is subjective too

I can't say this enough: ur accent makes u sound so cuddly and adorable. :-). Thanks for mentioning the klipsch stadium in your last video where u reviewed the best speakers in 2016, and for calling out those videos with bogus reviews that are nothing more than a reading of the spec sheet. I hope at some point u can get ur hands on the stadium. I'd like to know. How it compares to the devialet phantom. The stadium has extremely impressive reviews, even in the bass department.
TruAgape1234 thank you. You are the only one who really likes a German accent, haha. The stadium is a rather old speaker. The phantom is much louder but the Klipsch might sound more special.
libeRebil. Yea the reviews on the stadium are extremely good. They say the bass gets down to the mid 20hz region with authority. Have you been able to compare the stadium to the devialet phantom silver or gold?
TruAgape1234 the Klipsch definitely does not reach down to 20-30 hz like the phantom. If there something what the devialet can do good it is playing deep bass notes. I don't think that the Stadium would beat it, just because it is an older model.
Played back video through headphones and a Beolit 17. The Zepplin just sounds incredibly honest, all the sound coming from one flat plane. The bass is incredibly quick/responsive. The Copenhagen is a wonderful speaker but sounds like standing right outside the door of a great concert hall, it's constricted or something. The HK is also good but just not in the same league. That said for 299$ (if you can get one) it is not 400$ less sounding than the B&W. It is better than the Beolit 17 by a hair though. Bang and Olufsen stuff lasts forever too so that's always the reason I go with them. I have a pair of those S3 he has on the table, phenomenal. I also have a pair of Beoplay A9 (spoiled myself when they were on sale), great but not 6K great,

Hey there Tony , any chance of seeing a review or comparison of Harman Kardon Citation 500 , JBL L16, B&O M5, Bose SoundTouch 30, B&W Zeppelin Wireless?
Hello Speaker Toni, can you please provide some advice ( step by step guide) how to remove that front side textil cover from Zeppelin ? Cant find specific steps how to do it. With older version Air it was easy, but not with this Wireless brother :D
PvM Renz you have to carefully stick a screwdriver in-between the grill and the body. You'll still need quite a bit of pressure and it might be a little scratched.
PvM Renz yes, but you have to apply pressure for this as well and be careful with your fingers getting stuck between the grill as it sits super tight once it snaps back in.
@@Im-over-9000 Hello, could you give a quick run on how to remove the grill? Mine is damaged and I already located a replacement part online but really can't figure out how to remove the original. Is there any screw? Or it's just apply pressure, like disassembling a remote control?
hey toni, i am undecided about buying the zeppelin because i hear drowned mids (male vocals particularly) , some reviewers also mentioned this, since i listen mostly rock this would be a very big deal, what your opinion on zepp mid range equalization? thanks in advance
Nice video👍🏻 can you please tell me how did you take the grill off? The cloth on my zeppelin is torn, and I would like to try and fix it. Can't seem to find any tutorials regarding this matter on yt, for this particular model. Looking forward to your reply! :)
@@maxcorrea9334 I managed to do it, and it's actually not that hard... you just need to be very patient and careful so you dont damage anything aesthetically. There is no other type of damage you can make (i.e. eith electronics or similar), in my opinion... but of course, I'm not responsible if you do😅 So, I took a guitar pick, and placed right in between where the mesh and body meet.. you want to go as deep as you can with the guitar pick, but not too deep (I went like 5-7mm in). It helps if you have more guitar picks, so you can leave them in place when you separate the grill from the body, and continue working your way around it, without the previuos ones snapping back into place... So basically, the whole grill is attached to body with clasps all the way around... when you want to put it back, it all snaps back where it should
was thinking about buying this speaker but after seeing the comparison between the Go Play in battery mode I probably wont buy it anymore (it really isnt worth the price if it can't convicely beat the Go Play)
AllSeeyingGuy it beats the Go play by a lot. When you want a big loud and bassy sound you can stick with the Go play. For something hi fi and serious go with the Zeppelin.
Danke
Hi, thanks for the great video! I have two zeppelin wireless. You spoke about an equaliser to improve the bass on the zeppelin. I am wondering what software or app you were using to do this? Also do you know how you could have two zeppelins playing at the same time and playing the same track through Bluetooth or airplay? Cheers.
Thanks for a good review. I have noted that the Bowers has a hissing sound on both tweeters and you can hear the sound if you stand next to the speaker. Do you notice this too?
You are very mistaken if you think there is no difference in quality between bluetooth and airplay. Airplay definitely sounds better, quite noticeably.
I recorded the same track via AirPlay and Bluetooth with my mics and it sounded the same. AirPlay is just a less convenient and outdated way of connecting to the speaker.
Just read this. www.audiogurus.com/learn/speakers/bluetooth-vs-airplay/446 Bluetooth isnt always lossless, where as airplay is. Only Aptx enabled bluetooth products are. So in the Zeppelin case there is almost no difference (has aptx) but in other speakers you can tell.
It doesn’t matter what is lossless in theory. Bluetooth in speakers in generell have so much “loss” in the audio signal that it almost doesn’t matter what you throw at them. In most cases (like mine) you can’t even hear any difference.
Binaurale Mikrofone find ich an sich cool. Man kriegt einfach n besseren räumlichen Eindruck.
Was meinst du?
Amith Ganesan you need to put a screw driver between the grill and the enclosure There are several clips holding them together so I’d suggest putting a spacer in the gap and work your way around the grill
@@speakertoni2680 Thanks for your response. Can you please show me where to start? I tried to insert a screw driver in there but it is really form fit! Thanks again.
Vifa definitely out shines B&W. The first test was not easy to differentiate the two. But the few after tests. Vifa wins by a huge margin. Vifa is more true to the soundstage and vocal imo
Got goosebumps everytime it switched to the zeplin, that clarity is epic. Zeplin sounds like Eve Audio studio monitors, that’s probably why it does your head in if you listen to it too long lol. Your ears get fatigue. Didn’t like the JBL, sounds muffled like not enough separation between the different sounds.
I have the same here, I just picked one up but it fell off of a shelf from the previous owner, the grill is really only held on magnetically, just follow the edges at the fabric, lift gently and it should come away as you circle around it.
@@valenmontessori6445 when I posted that last year i was under the impression that it was that easy, since then i have discovered that my grill was damaged so much that the clips that actually hold it onto the unit were truly holds it on, I am looking into buying a replacement grill now, alas a video would not be much help.

@@Im-over-9000 Hello, could you give a quick run on how to remove the grill? Mine is damaged and I already located a replacement part online but really can't figure out how to remove the original. Is there any screw? Or it's just apply pressure, like disassembling a remote control?
hey toni, i am undecided about buying the zeppelin because i hear drowned mids (male vocals particularly) , some reviewers also mentioned this, since i listen mostly rock this would be a very big deal, what your opinion on zepp mid range equalization? thanks in advance
andres mercado I have the Zepp and can confirm the bass notes throb, the mids are velvety smooth and the highs twinkle. Winner.
How do I adjust bass level on BW zeppelin wireless?
Nice video👍🏻 can you please tell me how did you take the grill off? The cloth on my zeppelin is torn, and I would like to try and fix it. Can't seem to find any tutorials regarding this matter on yt, for this particular model. Looking forward to your reply! :)
I recently bought a zeppelin and i want to take off the grill to hahaha
@@maxcorrea9334 I managed to do it, and it's actually not that hard... you just need to be very patient and careful so you dont damage anything aesthetically. There is no other type of damage you can make (i.e. eith electronics or similar), in my opinion... but of course, I'm not responsible if you do😅
So, I took a guitar pick, and placed right in between where the mesh and body meet.. you want to go as deep as you can with the guitar pick, but not too deep (I went like 5-7mm in). It helps if you have more guitar picks, so you can leave them in place when you separate the grill from the body, and continue working your way around it, without the previuos ones snapping back into place...
So basically, the whole grill is attached to body with clasps all the way around... when you want to put it back, it all snaps back where it should
How does this compare to Marshall?
is the zeppelin wireless better sounding than naim muso qb?
was thinking about buying this speaker but after seeing the comparison between the Go Play in battery mode I probably wont buy it anymore (it really isnt worth the price if it can't convicely beat the Go Play)
AllSeeyingGuy it beats the Go play by a lot. When you want a big loud and bassy sound you can stick with the Go play. For something hi fi and serious go with the Zeppelin.
Depends what music you like to listen. in my opinion go play sounds a little better just with electronic music. BW is better on details.
Hi. Could you post a video or send a short description how did you remove the front cover?
Hi, did you ever find out how to remove the front cover? thanks.
So is the zeppelin better than a hk go & play?
This or Naim mu so qb 2 gen?
Danke
B&W is much better in the review
What was that piano song
Hi, thanks for the great video! I have two zeppelin wireless. You spoke about an equaliser to improve the bass on the zeppelin. I am wondering what software or app you were using to do this? Also do you know how you could have two zeppelins playing at the same time and playing the same track through Bluetooth or airplay? Cheers.
Thanks for a good review. I have noted that the Bowers has a hissing sound on both tweeters and you can hear the sound if you stand next to the speaker. Do you notice this too?
Marc Tobal not really. From how far can you still hear it.
Speaker Toni If I place my ear on both tweeters I hear a hissing sound.
Zeppelin or Vifa Oslo?
A B.w tem bateria?
You are very mistaken if you think there is no difference in quality between bluetooth and airplay. Airplay definitely sounds better, quite noticeably.
I recorded the same track via AirPlay and Bluetooth with my mics and it sounded the same. AirPlay is just a less convenient and outdated way of connecting to the speaker.
Just read this.
www.audiogurus.com/learn/speakers/bluetooth-vs-airplay/446
Bluetooth isnt always lossless, where as airplay is. Only Aptx enabled bluetooth products are. So in the Zeppelin case there is almost no difference (has aptx) but in other speakers you can tell.
I did a bit more research and found that even aptx enabled devices have light compression. So only airplay is truly lossless.
It doesn’t matter what is lossless in theory.
Bluetooth in speakers in generell have so much “loss” in the audio signal that it almost doesn’t matter what you throw at them.
In most cases (like mine) you can’t even hear any difference.
If you have the newest or a got Bluetooth version there is even no differenc between bluetooth and a wired connection
Binaurale Mikrofone find ich an sich cool. Man kriegt einfach n besseren räumlichen Eindruck.
Was meinst du?
Hi. Speaker Toni, can you please let me know how you got out the front grille? Thanks.
Amith Ganesan you need to put a screw driver between the grill and the enclosure
There are several clips holding them together so I’d suggest putting a spacer in the gap and work your way around the grill
@@speakertoni2680 Thanks for your response. Can you please show me where to start? I tried to insert a screw driver in there but it is really form fit! Thanks again.
Amith Ganesan you can start anywhere on the grill as far as I know
You just have to use more force
The enclosure might get scratched a bit
Vifa definitely out shines B&W. The first test was not easy to differentiate the two. But the few after tests. Vifa wins by a huge margin. Vifa is more true to the soundstage and vocal imo
Got goosebumps everytime it switched to the zeplin, that clarity is epic. Zeplin sounds like Eve Audio studio monitors, that’s probably why it does your head in if you listen to it too long lol. Your ears get fatigue. Didn’t like the JBL, sounds muffled like not enough separation between the different sounds.
Hey man, can you please tell me how did you remove the grille? Mine was damaged and I really want to replace it. Is it tricky?
I have the same here, I just picked one up but it fell off of a shelf from the previous owner, the grill is really only held on magnetically, just follow the edges at the fabric, lift gently and it should come away as you circle around it.
@@willsxx1 can you make a video and show us how you do it , thanks man , you are great
@@valenmontessori6445 when I posted that last year i was under the impression that it was that easy, since then i have discovered that my grill was damaged so much that the clips that actually hold it onto the unit were truly holds it on, I am looking into buying a replacement grill now, alas a video would not be much help.
your speaker placements are incredibly strange.
What’s wrong?
got this for 280$ sounds great
Marvin Reyes where?
Speaker Toni here in kuwait, its absolute steal right?
Marvin Reyes such a steal :o
Did you get it new?
Speaker Toni yeah brandnew, watch your review first before i decided to bought it. thanks keep it up..
I wanted this so bad but I bought two S3s instead
JJ Fletcher this thing is different to the s3's.
let's play spot the brit
just bought the zeppelin wireless not too impressed, sounded too flat. Only good feature is the always on standby mode. I'm thinking of the Devialet Phantom Gold.. or maybe the Kef LS50W.. or maybe the Naim Qb ..what do you think?

if you keep complaining about neighbors than you should either stop testing or find another place. That's not something I want to hear in a testing review
after these years i think u probably had a poor hearing...
bad hearing it is

how did you remove the front cover grille?
It’s quite hard to do
You have to use a screw driver and stick it in between the grill and the speaker
Speaker Toni thank you :)
how about i know is not fair comperation .. but now im hasitating betwen charge3 or b1 .. i want someting smaler with a big surprising sound.. i was considering bose soundlink mini before... but.. mainly couse the design.. im nuts about silver and white.. obsesed about oblivion the movie.. so no surprize i love the phantom look.. but not the price tag.. lol
Da krull Iam testing out the onkyo x6 now. Maybe it's good...
Speaker Toni thanx... wait9ng:)
so quick question charge3 or b1 B&o? :)
Da krull hard to say. Charge is the better Allrounder.
The a1 offers a bit better sound in my opinion.
Speaker Toni thanxx
omg… Im so amazed. Because harman kardon better than the b&w.. ım understand the harman kardon is power after the life...
B&W more clear and balance sound , warm then harman kardon
what is the song at 23:50
Damn you wrote that comment 3 years ago I just asked lmaoo Ig i ain't getting answered
My funny valentine
The question is who was singing it
Ok but how does the B&W compare to the Oslo? The B&W is actually priced lower than the Oslo right now in Canada.
The Oslo has less stereo of course but overall sounds a bit more interesting
Obviously you don’t have 800 diamonds!!
Zeppelin is more detailed than the rest
What hiss !?
no offense, u sound like oluv exactly O.o
I have one and I think its soud is not worth the money. It has no hifi style and like av speaker.Maybe suitable for PC games.
dffgf kikked I think 600 would be fair. The sound is special and actually very good.
Maybe it is suitable in lower price.
