يا سُورِيا يا قلعةَ الأحرارْ
صبرًا فتلكَ مشيئَةُ الأقْدارْ
لن يُخْمِدَ الزلزالُ فيكِ عَزائمًا
شِيدَتْ على الإيمانِ والإصْرارْ
والخَطْبُ مهْما جَلَّ سَوْفَ يُزيحُهُ
لُطْفُ الإلاهِ القادِرِ الجَبّارْ
يا سُورِيا هَذي القُلوبُ تَمزّقتْ
وبكَتْ بِدمْعٍ حارِقٍ مِدْرارِ
لمّا بدَا حجْمُ الدَمارِ وهوْلُهُ
ورأي العبادُ تفاقُمَ الأضرارْ
وصُراخَ أطفَالٍ تفرّقَ شمْلُهُمْ
تحتَ الرُكامِ وسطْوةِ الأحجارْ
صاحتْ إلاهي صُنْ عبادَكَ إنّهمْ
أمْسَوْا هُنا في مِحْنةٍ وحِصارِْ
والْطُفْ بِشعْبٍ عاشَ يرْسُمُ حُلْمَهُ
لِيعيشَ في سِلْمٍ وفي استقرارْ
يا سُورِيا إنّا دَعوْنا عالِيًا
كلّ الشُعوبِ لِنَجْدَةِ الأخيارْ
كيْ يَسْتعيدَ الشعبُ فِيكِ أمانَهُ
ويَرُومَ فجْرًا ساطِعَ الأنْوارْ
وَيظلَّ دوْمًا شامِخًا في أرضِهِ
يسْعَى إلى التَشْييدِ والإعْمارْ
Syria, Bastion of the Free
Oh Syria! Bastion of the free,
Patience! Such is the will of destiny!
The trembling shall not shake your resolve,
For, in faith and perseverance, you have been upraised!
Your trouble, though massive, shall wane
By the hand of the Merciful; the Almighty’s grace
Oh Syria! These hearts are shredded apart!
Crying a river of boiling tears,
The horrors of destruction,
The dreadful ruin, they perceived…
And, the screams of lone children
Under the rubble and the heaviness of stones!

O God Almighty!
“Your protection these people seek!”
