I really enjoyed this show. I am an old Ford man and still have my grandfathers 64 f100 that I learned to dive in! I have held on to it all these years with the intent to restore/ upgrade it.It has the old 223 six with 3 on the tree, short wide bed. It has so much character and style I could never sell it, even though tons of people have tried to buy it. to be able to run again it only needs a coil, ( stole it for my john deer when i was mowing!) new battery and fuel. This has given me inspiration to start working on it and get it up and going! Thanks again for your great video

I think no one does it better than you! Hamms and sammiches and friends makes for the best of life. of course you got to have the Duff too!
I agree! We can let the GM guys spend all their time laying on top of their motors putting in points and distributor caps. Those old Y blocks had a lot of torque. My dad swore by them and swore at the GMs he had to work on.
You give me hope for mine: '62 F100 4x4 step side in Caribbean Turquoise, inline six, three on the tree, power nothin'. It does have the three extra leaves in the rear springs like yours. Originally purchased by my ex's grandfather when he was 82 years old. He lived to be 92, then his two sons kept the farm and the truck, but never lived there. Ex's dad bought out his brother in the 1970s, I came on the scene in 1984 when the truck had 13K miles. It slowly crept up over the years until around 2000 when the family hired a new farm hand who liked driving the truck to town - 16 miles one way. I visited before that and the truck had 19K, and by the next time I visited it had 29K. In 2003, with 30,300 miles on it, it was given to me. I've kept it garaged and driven it a little (it still has standard, not antique, plates and passes inspection) and last year it finally rolled over 40K. It's all original, but during those years on the farm it wasn't babied. Cattle farm + old men driving means it has plenty of cow and shed door dents. People keep telling me to "clean off those bird droppings" but it's white paint from when the truck was used as a scaffold when painting the barn. I've replaced the brake lines (and Inline Tube should still have the pattern if you're so inclined), some steering parts, tires, and all of the U-joints but otherwise it is untouched. I hope someday to get it fully restored but until then, I keep it inside, drive it once in a while, and wonder if/when I will get the $$ to have it done. I don't have the tools or a place to use them to do the job myself - plus, I don't want it to look like an amateur did it!

Hey mortske. I dont have a hood, but on my truck i used a piece of 1x4 and layed in the gap between the hood and cowl. Lay one end of the board on the rad support and the other on the wiper cowl. As you take the bolts out, the board will catch the hood and support it. The board just acts as a helping hand so the hood isnt wobbling all over when undoing bolts.
I love watching you work on the old stuff. We used to change ring gears on the flywheels. Never had the luxury of a torch though. Just built a fire out back, shovel hot coals around the ring gear to get it off, either turn it over or if it's not too chewed just move it a little so the starter has fresh teeth to get that first bite.

Duff couldn’t care less what he is riding in. Head out the window and lovin it.
Mortske repaired, Duff Dog approved. Another American classic saved.
Hey mortske. I dont have a hood, but on my truck i used a piece of 1x4 and layed in the gap between the hood and cowl. Lay one end of the board on the rad support and the other on the wiper cowl. As you take the bolts out, the board will catch the hood and support it. The board just acts as a helping hand so the hood isnt wobbling all over when undoing bolts.
good idea!
My brother in law drove a green one but his had a 352 and was 3/4ton. Awsome truck!!!!
My fav of all your revives, you would NOT believe how much these go for on barnfinds and bringatrailer..
Hot Water Heater is so “normal” in Australia that I have never even thought of that being a problem.
We’d never unthaw anything however :)
Lucky!
How nice is to have a place like that to take it apart and work on it! Great video!
Very cool!
Happy Monday Mortske and Duff!!DUFF!!! The live stream on Saturday was Awesome!! And the video today was also!! THANKS FOR THE HARD WORK AND GREAT ENTERTAINMENT!!!

Squeeze your upper rad hose before you plug the funnel. If you do that, it will lower the level slightly and you won’t spill a drop! Love the videos
Good call!
I love mine, bought it to help bleed import cars.
This truck is Good! Love how easy you made it look to work on this thing. God Bless my friend stay safe and warm!
I'm enjoying another one of your videos! Along with un-thaw and hot water heater, some of us midwesterners say we "drug" the truck into the shop when the past tense of "drag" is "dragged", unless there were actually drugs involved in getting it in there - Ha! Take care Mortske and Duff!
You’re right!
