  • Welcome to San Pablo, a charming city in the Philippines that offers so much more than meets the eye. This adventure kicks off with my journey from Calamba to San Pablo on a Jeepney, an experience every backpacker should try! With just 62 pesos for the ride, I couldn’t ask for a more authentic way to arrive.
After settling into my cozy budget hotel (just 840 pesos a night!), I take a stroll through San Pablo's lively streets to explore its unique character. From historical landmarks like the Malvar Mansion to the bustling town center lined with fast food joints and local cafes, this city is packed with surprises.
Don’t miss my stop at a delightful coffee shop for an amazing pistachio cake-easily one of the best desserts I’ve had on my travels!
Tomorrow, I’m gearing up for a full day of exploring San Pablo’s lakes, the stunning cathedral, and more hidden gems this city has to offer.
This video is all about embracing the backpacking lifestyle on a budget while discovering local culture and history. Let me know what you think of the audio quality, as I’m testing out a new mic in this vlog.
    Key highlights in this video:

I drink San Miquel Pale Pilsen beer. Usually 2 beers per day. 4 on hot days. I won't drink the Red Horse. 7% is too strong. Have you had any beer in Philipinnes?

I’ve not had any beer since I’ve been in Philippines yet. Mainly because of budget but I did have a VERY cheap bottle of wine last weekend :)
