This video takes me back to the BillyMC days. I don't mean that in a condescending manner, but in a "I'm happy to see you so genuinely hyped about getting farther than you thought," way. You did good, beef :)
I'm legitimately pretty impressed with how you kept up informative commentary without dying. That's awesome. (I mean, without dying MUCH. "Eh, 1500 bullets on the screen, may as well take this quiet moment to talk about the doujin release.")
7:50 - Aw, fucking really? This was amazing. It's good to see someone enjoy a game these days, as most LPers sound either bored or angry. Great stuff, Slowbeef
It's nice to see slowbeef take a more let's play-ish take on his videos, explaining things and providing interesting commentary, even though usually this type of game you can't talk haha. I tried crimson clover but was really bored with the lack of bullets first stage, maybe this mode is for me
slowbeef The Manic Mode in that is quite similar to unlimited mode here. Tons of Bullets and giant scoring bonuses. Can't make it past the first boss without dying so far.
Pretty sweet there! I been using the Training Mode so I could fight just the bosses in Unlimited Mode. I myself feel the Unlimited Mode bosses by themselves are way cooler than the levels. Maybe that could be an idea for a new video for you to make.
slowbeef Don't forget to adjust the Break Rate to whatever amount you feel. It's a neat way to pump the intensity on a boss to a degree where it's almost impossible in-game.
There are no guests on Skype this time... surely soon enough Slowbeef will start playing for score and before long we'll see him streaming his scoring attempts in EoSD as he realizes that, in the end, Touhou really is harder.
Damn! You made it pretty far for someone that tried for the first time. But then agian, you've got a better "panic-button"(bomb) reflex than me. I'm usually greedy about saving bombs to take advantage of Double Break's fast lock on.
Just in the interest of full disclosure, I had played stage 1 before - I never practiced it in earnest, but had reached the first boss - you can see the Bronze Medal from that in the third row, all the way on the right. (I earned a silver medal from this)
Think you mighta done better if you hadn't been too focused to explain some stuff? Pretty much all shmup videos I see are either annotated or done while watching a replay so live commentary like that is actually kinda exciting.
Luck and bomb abuse notwithstanding, the fact that you got that far in Unlimited Mode is impressive. Using Type-Z for anything else though, not so much.

Started dippin into your Ridley voice at the end of the second boss there.

Wow, 7:20+ Brilliant job surviving. Such an insane game!
One video I would actually be curious what the scarecam looked like.
I love the genuine childish glee that comes out of you when something awesome happens in the game, it's hilarious and awesome!
Holy crap! That was impressive!
Thanks!
Slowbeef finally embraced his little girl Ridley inside
That was really intense.

Great stuff, Slowbeef
Your panic bomb reflex is UNREAL
To think a month ago you were struggling with the regular game. This spiral into pro shmup play is awesome.
It's a slippery slope.
Soon he'll say Kaizo Mario is for chumps.
04:35 - 05:10 - 07:30 - 07:48 - 08:01 - 08:23 - 09:42 - 10:01
It is pretty insane how you can manage to form coherent thoughts while concentrating so intensely.
lol it's BeefShaq! J/k, I actually thoroughly enjoyed this one. Way to get em.
Slow beef! You were on fire man! Way to annihilate stage one like a boss!
beef!! You are one the best out there for stumps!! I love you!!!

now that I'm sure is the genuine adrenalined fear in a voice
The joy of gaming~
Have you ever played mushihi futari on ultra slowbeef? It's really difficult, if I heard correctly, it has never been beaten without dying.
I have not.

CCWI: a PC port of an arcade port of a PC game
So....... ever tried dodging rain-drops?
I thought that's what I was doing!!!

That's not a bad idea!

Woah, Slowbeef's actually good at video games; who'd of guessed?
There are no guests on Skype this time... surely soon enough Slowbeef will start playing for score and before long we'll see him streaming his scoring attempts in EoSD as he realizes that, in the end, Touhou really is harder.
Oh hey, you unlocked Crimson Heart. When did that happened? I should have been nice to see.
I just got that from collecting stars. In World Ignition, you can just grind stars til you get it.
This was awesome.

Yeah. But getting to the near the middle of Stage 3 blind is still super impressive. Played like a true survivor, I'd say.
I dare you to play "Soreyuke! Burunyanman ecstasy"
It may look like a cute shmup, but it's seriously tough :/
My wife's response to walking over and seeing me watch a RUclips video of it: "... What the fuck was that?" Then I had to point out your comment.
slowbeef hahaha, yeah, there's hentai in it, but to avoid that you must not play as the male character
slowbeef
look honey, some guy on youtube with a cropped anime porn avatar said to watch this video, how could it go wrong!?
Shukterhouse Jive ... ...Oh yeah, that is what that is, isn't it.
i have epilepsy an am very photo sensitive this game in a dark room is amazing that is all :)
My favorite thing ever is nervous bullet hell players shouting HAD TO after every bomb/break.
Learning while teaching? It's like a holistic treatment scam :b
that squeak factor is at m-m-m-m-maximum!
Think you mighta done better if you hadn't been too focused to explain some stuff?

You should try Unlimited mode with "normal" ships.
Working up to it!
slowbeef You be fair you still did very great job with avoiding getting hit and you have good reflex with bombs.
Luck and bomb abuse notwithstanding, the fact that you got that far in Unlimited Mode is impressive. Using Type-Z for anything else though, not so much.
Slowbeef may I be in your next touhou play? My Skype name is FantasiaPhantasm :P
Unlimited is fun, yeah?
Until Diabolos.
Fuck Diabolos.
How the hell can you play a game like this? There's shit all over the screen all the time. I don't even
