Did they put baby oil on foot to help remove it easier?

Hi Aimee, yes, a little E45 or petroleum jelly on the hand/foot will make the hand/foot slip out easier of the alginate mould - though it's not essential for a baby. (However, it is essential for pet casting or for a man's hand with lots of hair, as hair will stick to the alginate - so then a protective barrier like petroleum jelly is needed).
I do hope this helps Aimee, please do not hesitate to ask should you require further information :)
      Kind regards,
      Emma

Hi, how long should I keep my baby's foot in the moulding mixture for?

      Hi Sarah,
Your baby does not need to keep still in the mould for long, depending on the setting stage of the alginate, it can be as little as 30 seconds. When you receive the kit, there is a little test that you can do so that you can see for yourself how the alginate works and how fast it sets. We also suggest in the instructions, that if your baby is wriggling too much during the mould-making process, then just wait until they are fast asleep before attempting to make the mould - they will be non-the-wiser and blissfully unaware!
I do hope this helps :)
      Kind regards,
      Emma at BabyRice

How do you mount the cast to the frame?

Hi Fionn, we suppy a superglue with our kits with frames, the casts are glued to the backing card of the frame. If you don't have any strong superglue already at home, we do sell it separately on our website, just £3.85 with free UK delivery (at the time of this reply): www.babyrice.co.uk/3d-life-casting-kit-refills/alginate-plaster/20mg-of-high-viscosity-adhesive-glue

Is there a minimum age that this can be used on the baby?
