John Paul Jones's bass lines are the REAL HERO in this song. OUT OF THIS WORLD!!! Keep it up Mark!! You're all of US when we watch you !! next up? HOW MANY MORE TIMES !!
"You Shook Me" by Zepp to hear Plant and Page literally singing and playing in sync. It's elevated blues to the max. Oh and Robert Plant plays a mean Harmonica.
First saw them live in 1969. I had never heard them before. My reaction as well as the crowd's reaction was very similar to yours. Never heard anything like it before and I've been hooked ever since!! Never tire of their unique sound.
I love the intensity with which you experience listening to the great classic bands. Don't forget YES, the greatest symphonic/progressive rock band in the known galaxy. I suggest you start with The Yes Album; begin with "Yours Is No Disgrace." But be forewarned, like Pink Floyd, the band YES will rewire your brain and send you into sonic landscapes you never imagined.
I love this song… This song was recorded in one take, LZ was just fiddling around in the studio. It’s heavily influenced by the song “Killing Floor” by Howlin’ Wolf (With a young Buddy Guy on lead guitar) and the line squeeze (my lemon) till the juice runs down my leg," can be traced back to Robert Johnson's "Travelling Riverside Blues"from 1937 and Roosevelt Sykes song “She Squeezed My Lemon” also 1937.

This song is DIRTY, in ever sense of the word. Listen to the lyrics. You're just finding this now, & it has this reaction on you. Imagine what it was like for those of us who were only just out of puberty .........
You’re down the rabbit hole now😄 you really need to check the live performances by Zeppelin. Anything from the 1973 Madison Square Garden gig is worth checking.
When they speed up, it's what used to be called a "rave up". A lot of bands used to do that and it was meant to get the audience up and dancing. Bassist John Paul Jones was always proud of the fact that their "hard, heavy" sound could still get people moving. Their music will take you many places and become some of your treasured favorites. Please try Good Times Bad Times - it's the very first song off their very first album. Listen and be amazed that they were *that good* from the very first song. I'm really enjoying your journey.
I can't tell you this smile that you bring to this Zepheads face, I think we're all losing a little faith in the youth of America, you give us hope!👍 The honest reaction that you have is the way it was for us many years ago, so thank you. We used to just hang out and flip albums and have a similar experience as you, 50 years ago.😉
The very best way to explore zeppelin is to start at the beginning. I promise you will not be disappointed. They don’t have a skippable song. So far you have listened to a song from each of their first albums. They have 8 and all are great! They are the true goats.
You’re really taking me back to my youth. Loving your reactions man! You’re grooving to it like I did when I first heard Zep at 18 years old. Waiting for “Whole Lotta Love” ❤❤❤
Thanks for the kudos to the bassist John Paul Jones - he really drives this song. Which is saying a lot when he is partnered with a drummer like John Bonham. Give a listen to "How Many More Times" the final song on their first album. A somewhat forgotten masterpiece, in my opinion. Possibly Robert Plant's greatest vocal performance ...
Another awesome track from Led Zeppelin! Interesting title and guitar 🎸 and drumming 🥁 rhythm 🥁 , too and it’s perfect summer season song to listen to! Thanks for sharing and it’s a like and thumbs up.😄👍#ledzeppelin
I'm really enjoying this mate!! Your reactions and these new discoveries put a big smile on my face. Awesome song choices- and wow you have gone down the best rabbit hole ever!
That’s it Mark. You win. Hands down. You are the best reactor out there. I can quit drinking coffee now. You are such an adrenaline boost. Don’t ever stop doing what you do. It’s so important to help people connect with this music. I grew up with this shit when I was in high school in the early 70’s, and probably like most people took it for granted. Yeah, there were a few bands that really sucked during that era, but 98% of it was simply amazing. I could rattle off a hundred must listen to bands, but here’s one more to add to your list - Kansas.
Blues with a fucking twist- like literally. Love the blues Led Zepplin plays! 🥱 Hard to believe they were a British band. Keep. on. the. Zepplin. train. Be prepared…
I like your reaction. It reminds me of my younger days. All my friends were as hyped as you are when we discovered this as pre teens and teenagers. I’m even a late comer in a way not born until 1968. Rock on brother. Thanks.
Thanks for the reaction to this great song. You've only scratched the surface of LZ and then you still have whole decades of great rock to discover with equally great music. Can't wait to follow you on this mind expanding journey of yours. I think you'll really like their song "Kashmir" but you're forwarded that it might be too awesome. Edit: I think this song was sampled so you may have heard part of it before.
Not sure what happened to my comment, some sort of technical difficulties, so at the risk of repeating myself: Really enjoyed your reaction. Zeppelin didn't only do blues but they were clearly influenced by American blues artists. "Stairway to Heaven" is actually considered "folk" rock if you can believe that. For another folk rock tune, try "Baby I'm Gonna Leave You". For blues rock, try "You Shook Me", and for something leaning toward more hard rock, "Whole Lotta Love". Three of the songs you've reacted to, as well as the above songs, are from their early years. So much more to come. Lucky us! That four of the greatest musicians out there came together to create this incredible music was nothing short of seismic. :)
Whole lotta love reaction is recorded ready for editing next week 🙌🙌🙌⏪️🧠 I just love their whole style...its just amazing! RUclips is a pain in the assss sometimes!

When a song starts taking you on a ride, it can't be paused, or you lose the momentum. After finding song reactions of the music I grew up with, I now know that I took that special time in history for granted. Thanks for helping me bring it into perspective! Peace!
Mark, you have a long way to go. There are many great bands for you to learn. Bands like Grand Funk Railroad, Queen, ZZTop, Uriah Heep, Bad Company, Rush, Van Halen, Stevie Ray Vaughn, The Doors, and many others!
They were totally influenced and inspired by American blues music. This and many of Led Zeppelin songs are totally based on the blues. Love your reactions bro! Keep them coming.
I'm a new subscriber bro! I love your energetic response to Zeppelin!! You're officially a Led head now! Zeppelin has possessed your soul like it did to me back in 1969! I was six years old when I heard days and confused blasting out of my big sister's bedroom! I was what the fuck is that? At six I was blown away! I was listening to the Beatles Jimi Hendrix and then Zeppelin came on the scene and I was blown away! Zeppelin is what made me become a drummer!! Hey bro you want to be really blown away react to Led Zeppelin's Achilles last stand!! That's my favorite Zeppelin tune!!
I love them as much as you...for 50 frickin years!!!! I was lucky enough to have seen them live many times and am thrilled their music excites your generation. SUBSCRIBED!! 👍❤🤙
Every one of these takes me back to my high school days and the thrill of hearing all this great music for the first time. Cannot wait to see your face when you get around to “Whole Lotta Love” and that opening riff starts. Keep ‘em coming, Mark!
