I've got an identical blown speaker, died like 8 years ago and just quietly hums, but I never got round to doing anything about it. Watched a couple other repair things where it was a capacitor they had to replace, but I dunno how I'd know if the failure was from something else. Maybe I'll just replace the capacitors and see what happens. I had the volume maxed on a hot day in Australia, 40 degrees C when it died.

You can find the wiring diagrams on Mackie's website under support. Mine doesn't even hum it's silent. I did test the actual speakers still work.
