i remember being 15 just getting into hardcore and seeing the Pleased to Meet You music video and being equal parts stoked as i was terrified to see moshing like that LMAO
The only time in my life where I saw the pit and skipped out on it because of the level of shit going down was TUI at the Ottobar in Baltimore. The whole show was crazy, but the entire mood changed when Trapped Under Ice started setting up. It's a good memory, though.
I chase Justice to any podcast he's on, it would be cool if he had his own. One of my favorite musicians of all time for sure, all his projects are golden.
Every TUI show I've been to, I've been able to share a few words with Justice during or after the show. Always a very welcoming dude in a scene that I honestly never really felt welcome in. Salute to TUI, salute to Hardlore. That Spot Check segment fucking kills me lmaooo.
Trapped Under Ice was my first real hardcore show. Jan 4th 2009 at Chain Reaction with Reign Supreme, Full Blown Chaos and DIrty Money. TUI deff put me the fuck on after that.
I wonder why FBC never gets any love. Prophet of Hostility was hard af back in the day and they always brought it live! That’s a crazy lineup holy shit💯🤘
Wouldn't say they were true hardcore honestly just beat down break down BS. Never caught the point when tough guy hip hop wanna bes started making hardcore music
Seeing The Killer in high school around 2003-04 were some of the scariest shows I remember. Hearing that siren before Pills was like a war siren for battle.
TUI will always be one of the hardest bands from my youth. Still love them. Saw them every chance I ever got and would do some wild shit to be able to see em again. Hell, I lost my sense of smell being a wild little kid crowd killing during TUI's set on the 10 for 10 and catching a fist to the temple from a marine. Still cant smell weed right.
Had sleep paralysis and night terrors as a kid. Used to sleep walk and fight invisible demons in the living room. Never had night terrors since… I won that war.
My first tattoo was stay cold across my chest, in 2008, the day I turned 18. I got it on a weight bench in the projects, lifting weights between sessions and cigarette breaks. The first time they came to my city, I was a flat broke ass 20-something year old, straight up grimy piece of shit. Had to have my girl pay my way in, and I made her buy me their 7 inch too. Still have it to this day. No wonder she left my bum ass hahaha. This was peak hardcore for me, makes me wish I could go back and live a little bit of it again.
I will admit that Heat Wave took a while to grow on me. Mainly due to how short the tracks were and some of the lighter moments, but it has become my second favorite full length behind SOTW. I would love to whoop ass to some heatwave tracks. Oblivion is fucking stupid heavy.
I never listen to podcasts because I’m always listening to music, but I’m happy I took a break to listen to this- amazing conversation about hardcore and random side convos about anything
Colin, Your wish came true. Just goes to show if you put it out into the world and you're patient, anything is possible. I think more make a wish segments were you wish bands back together for reunion shows/records 😂
They played in vestal ny in a halfpipe like 2018 and we went to a chinese buffet and he got the shits an hour before he had to play. If i had to guess he was clenched the whole set
I stopped going to shows and grew out of hardcore about 10 years ago. It’s good see bro is doing good after all these years. Also, as a fellow as breaker, I relate to always liking the smell of weed and I’ve always loved stoner culture lol. I thought I was the only one.
I've been a fan of the show since episode one. But, man...Colin makes this show almost unwatchable anymore. I feel bad for Bo. Dude deserves a better co-host. Colin makes the same joke over and over every episode. Bo will get into a story and Colin will just straight up be like, "cool story bro". Dude can't be "funny" unless it's at the expense of others I guess.
I’ve never heard Colin do that. That’s the bit Bo is the introvert and Colin is the extrovert and they are obviously friends in real life and friends roast each other. Quit your crying
TUI was the band for me as a kid.
I would have legit anxiety pitting at their shows because how nuts people were going off haha

I would do TERRIBLE things to see another full US TUI tour. I feel like the new generation would benefit from experiencing it.
Angel dust isn't enjoyable to me
so happy i saw them on their first two tours
Blame your parents for having you too late
You must be feeling p happy rn if you live on the east coast!!!
I saw them at rain fest and I died
This was such an insightful interview, as well as being absolutely hilarious and candid. Well done, gents. Thanks for this.
24:03 the way they laugh and lean to the same side is priceless 😂

Great interview. Saw TUI @ the 10 for 10 tour in AZ, glad that was brought up. Epic 🤘🏻
was glad to be a part of that era growin up, some of the sickest shows ive ever seen. TUI baby
Loved this pod - Justice is a G. I shared a Dark Bounty with him in Berlin, back in '18.

Favorite interview with my favorite vocalist. But I forgot all about blacklisted I haven't listened to them in like ten years. They were sick.
I saw them at Now That’s Class in cle when justice was sick and didn’t play and it was pretty chaotic.
