I wished I knew I could have done this many many years ago. They hold their own very well. The other fish don’t bother them. Also note that I was informed to add two at minimum and at the same time you introduce other fish at the same time. They are so fun to watch as they’re usually schooling together. And these guys are getting big and super colorful.
I generally add salt if my fish get eye problems like that. Very rare it happens tho, it's either another fish having a go or just a scratch against the rocks.
Thank you so much. With haps and peacock cichlids if you somewhat crowd the tank it curves aggression. Also they are free swimming fish. Unlike the mbuna that prefer hiding stones. Your comment is actually a compliment. Thank you
Different fish species require different habitats. I see you have based your opinion without first retaining the knowledge of this specific species needs. There is much to learn about haps and peacock cichlid species. And once you’re educated on the keeping of this particular species, it can be very rewarding raising such beautiful fish. Have a look around RUclips. There are several wonderful professional cichlid RUclipsrs to choose from and learn from on this species. And I hope you find yourself learning from them. Ultimately in the end you will have learned that this 150 gallon tank is only at 1/2-3/4 to stocking level. Also you will learn that filtration plays a major part as well. But you’re smart. You’ll figure it out. And that’s the fun part of the hobby. Learning. I hope you enjoy the other videos.

This tank is overcrowded and there's no hiding spots.

@@904ruckus3 If you think this comment is a compliment, I think you should return your fishes at the pet shop.

@@904ruckus3 Do you really think i'm gonna waste my time reading all this?
it's clear that this tank is overcrowded.
They don't need hiding spaces, and with proper filtration you can overcrowd a cichlid tank. This tank is perfectly fine🎉
