ideapad 110-15isk funny thing is that I ruled out the keyboard, because the "novo" button did not start the computer. Neither did removing battery (main, main + cmos)/holding power button for 30-60 seconds. Or trying to plug in (with battery disconnected) to see if it starts.
But then I also saw the battery did hold a charge after leaving it to charge for several hours.
So after watching your video, then I tried once more to turn on laptop. But I popped out the keyboard and unplugged it from motherboard. And then almost immediately, notebook starts!!!!!! What a weird bug.
Its because the power button is in the keyboard. And if keyboard has problem then you cant power the laptop. . Glad you figure it out.

How do you bios if it is not turning on at all?
I have a lenovo 100s laptop which doesn't power on. Charging plug is good, batter voltage is also good. If the cable thing doesn't work, I'd like to know how do I update bios please.

@@davidinacio7347 I did try to do that today. It didn't work for me. I tried shorting 2 pins on both ends of the connector. Any suggestions?
@@sagardhavali4787 have you tried to discharge bios? Unplug batterys and ram and wait a minute before plugging again. Then try booting again and if it boots upgrade the bios

Hello dear ans thanks for your explaination. With my lenovo ideapad 110-15ibr it rather the right power indicator chat blinks when i switch it on. The screen remains black. I tried what you advised and thé indicator is stable but no display on the screen. Please any other idea? Thanks

Let it be done. But if still bootlooping always like that posible you need to reformat. But you can also try to restore your previous settings using system restore
Try to flash bios chip or change ram module
mine however when its turn on the fans makes noise likeits goin to on..but the screen itself is not booting...

@@AaronLyons remove the ram and re insert. If you have two slots try inserting to different slots. If you have two rams try using 1 at a time

@@wayneslink yes its show couple second and turnoff but system is on led blink in the laptop
Press f2 or f10 or del, if you land to the bios press f9 and enter, then press f10 to save. Or Try to boot to a bootable operating system if ot detects the hard disk drive.

If you want to upgrade you need to buy 8g and remove your 4g in one sl6

It could be a battery problem, if you hover the battery indicator with your mouse what does it tells?

My lenovo 110-15idsk didn't power on, when I pressed the power button the led lighted on but nothing happened, then I came across your video and took the keyboard off, shorted the last two pins from the right side nothing happened, then I shorted the pins from left side and still didn't power on. Then I reassembled the keyboard and everything but now computer is completely dead even the power led indicator that lighted before is not lighting anymore, do you have any idea what could be wrong with my computer and what can I do to fix it?
That could be a hardware failure. Try to check power adapter 1st for propwe voltages
@@wayneslink Thanks for your reply but I figured it out last night, I think the first time I hadn't taken off the keyboard flex when I shorted the pins, last night I took the keyboard completely off and checked voltage in the keyboard pins it was 3V, then I shorted the 2 left pins and voila it turned on the computer. Now I ordered a new keyboard.

Is the battery removable? If removable try remove and long press power button without battery and adapter attach for Atleast 10 seconds and reinsert batt and adapter and try power on. If not the try removing the ram one by one . And test

It powers on the device as the two pins are the switch button

That means battery ia not charging, either board related problem or battery is dead. Bur even the batt is dead it shoud still power on
my ideapad is 100S and the problem is slightly similar to your laptop. so what happened was before i shut it does it goes like "update and shut off" anyways i selected that, the problem was i forgot about it and so i brought my laptop with me to a 6 hour trip. so i tried turning it on and the charging light just keeps on blinking red while the Power light? just continuously turns on and off. I tried charging it well it didnt really change anything. huehuhue neeed help.

E tape mu lang ang lahat ng pins sa flex keyboard maliban dun sa dalawang pin na magsisilbing power button. Gamit la scots tape. Pero dapat e saksak mu balik sa flex board.
May laptop po ako 110-141ibr, possible po ba siya ma upgrade from 2gb to 8gbram??thanks po
Try 1st 4g. I think the 8g variant is for touch screen models., or if you have spare 8g with same speed, you can try. Dont buy yet. Borrow ot test.

Hi, yung sakin po Lenovo ideapad 110, ang unang problema po is ayaw na macharge ng battery pero nagagamit pa basta naka saksak yun cable, after 2 or 3 months, nawala na po ang display sa screen, backlight lang po. Ano po kayang solution sir? Thank you!

Pa-help po, please. Magpapalit sana kami ng lockscreen photo, kaya lang noong ise-set na ang picture ay bigla na lang nag-black ang screen, hindi naman siya nag-shut down since marami pa siyang charge. As in nag-black ang buong screen. Sinara siya ni ate ko at hinintay na bumalik sa dati pero walang nangyari. Ngayon, hinayaan na muna namin siya. After ng ilang oras, ni-try naming i-on, pero hindi pa rin gumagana. Ni-press namin ang power button nang matagal pero black pa rin ang screen, tapos mamamatay ito. Ni-try namin siyang i-charge, nagcha-charge naman pero wala pa rin. Kapag tina-try mong buksan ay magbi-blink lang ng paulit-ulit ang screen tapos mamamatay. Na-try na rin namin siyang i-drain tapos i-charage pero wala pa rin. Pa-help po, please.
Try external monitor muna sir, try reset ram. Try powering the device without battery inside.

Pahelp po. May ilaw po yung sa charging pero ginawa ko yung pag alis sa keyboard pero yung sa pin hindi po natatakot po kase ako. Pero nung inalis ko po di siya nag open.
